I’m from north FL and I can confirm this lol I’ve been to every county at least 5 to 6 times in my life but it’s most country in north Florida. But I no longer live in the state. I lived in a couple different parts. And my least favorite part of FL was in the panhandle. AND one spot in Particularly. Pensacola and the west part of FL was nothing but Yankees and rude people with few exceptions but east of Tallahassee it gets much better. Then Daytona and Miami are the same.way
That is so true. I live in the Florida Panhandle, about 20 or so miles from the Alabama line, and we are very "Southern" around here. Although, right now I could do without the 100+ degree days. Those aliens might want to consider the heat before they pick their spots.

If anyone did grow suspicious of their odd behavior, they could just claim they were from Indiana or Ohio, or some other exotic place like that. Let’s face it, though, there’s not much they could do that “Florida Man” hasn’t already done. 2) The aliens should avoid I-4 at all costs during rush hour and probably most other times as well. It’s pretty nasty. 3) Use of flying vehicles should be limited to the areas well east of Orlando. Nobody would bat an eye since we’d all assume it was just another rocket launch. 4) Real estate / rent costs might be the deal breaker, and the aliens would probably get much more “bang for their buck” elsewhere, like at the Ritz Carlton or somewhere like that. 5) The aliens should consider that the danger posed by the native wildlife is frequently exaggerated in media reports, but a healthy respect for wild animals (and “Florida Man”) is still probably a good idea.

As a person that born and raised in South Florida for 32 years before moving to Georgia that is pretty true, except for my mom side of the family they are Floridians for 100 years give or take.
Recently moved to SOCAL, and once while at an outdoor event a cicada (or at least I thought it was) flew up near me, and the people near me all acted like a yellowjacket flew up. I just gave it a smack and it flew away. When the guy next to me said “wow, your brave” I said “eh, it’s just a cicada” and HE said “is that like a scientific term for beetle, or…?” he’d LITERALLY never heard of a cicada before. which makes me think that was a different type of beetle
As an East Tennessean I feel SEEN. I can't tell you how many times I've sat at a red light in short little VW & have found myself looking straight on at a pair of truck nuts.
