My husband has been threatened with his life if he touches my good scissors. Also, I hid them. Out of sight, out of mind. Now I just have to train him to only use the kitchen sheers on food products... (lol)
This was great! The only thing missing, though, were twist ties. I've never seen a single junk drawer that didn't have at least a few of those, usually taken from bread bags.
Oh no... usually it's a "strip" of 10-20 of them from a box of trashbags... you know the ones that don't have the included plastic bands that you pulled out from the brim of the bag and it squeezes the top closed then tie in a knot... back in my poorer days (cheapskate for those who used them but weren't poor) you got your box of trashbags, inside was a strip of twist ties, should have been at least 1 tie per bag but i never counted.... or used them.... so i don't know but anyways you had to pull the full bag out and bunch up the edges, spin the bag around to develop a collar, then throw a twist tie on before it unspins.... but wait.... you forgot to separate a single tie from the strip... so you gotta set the bag down, hope it doesn't collapse and spill garbage all over the floor you just swept and mopped, separate that tie and then spin the bag again... and hope it stays.... all this while begging and praying the bag itself doesn't rip open either. i'm sure someone will read this and have ptsd from previous times in their lives.... hopefully not current but i understand if you still use those bags... i'm sorry. I don't care if they are more expensive.... glad or hefty, drawstring and preferably scented is what you'll find in my kitchen now.

Cleaning out my parents house after they passed away resulted in finding random keys in practically every draw. We gathered them all up and filled a quart jar. Never did match most of them but I still have that jar! It has become a running joke in our family now😂😂
You know we have a bank that collects them like glasses for the lions. Town I lived in collected them I think they made a special walk way with keys pressed in.
I have a container of miscellaneous keys labeled " I actually have no idea what these are for ! " . I don't drink , but the time it took & the stuff I found ... well , I learned that I now have a fondness for cheap wine & yes , local liquor store does home delivery & no , the delivery guy would not take two plastic totes of batteries as a tip ! 🤣

Yahoo’s front page may have had a link to email, games, etc, but how did you get there without getting “on line.” Plus, AOL had chat rooms and instant messages.
Since moving into a place with my mother, I cannot tell you how many times I've been opening up random drawers to look for a decent pair of scissors only to come across some random box of staples from 1986 that I'm pretty sure go to a stapler my Grandpa used to own. And don't even get me started on finding wifi information for in case the power goes out and I have to reset everything (As a card carrying Millenial, I am the techie of the household. But I grew up watching my dad take apart and put together the family computer when I was a kid) my mom has hidden it in a drawer with her dog's leash, an old fly swatter, and at least 10 Kroger bags.
You needed some paperclips, bread twist ties and bread PacMan looking thingies, plus push pins, and old rubber bands- both office and hair types. The bottom should have a leaking honey packet from Starbucks that is 7 years old. The plastic literally disintegrated.

I can relate to a drawer full of sauce packets! I also have another drawer in which bread bag ties have been amassing with different twist ties from Christmas lights, and everything in between! 😂

Dayumm! I would have tossed that AOL disc in the garbage looooong before now. I didn't even like it when it first came out. Yahoo was way easier for me to understand. 😅😜

Old school days had you dial up some modem, but AOL, compuserve, prodigy, etc, it was an “applucation” that you launched. It dialed the numbers for you, and once logged in, all that stuff was at your finger tips. Yahoo’s front page may have had a link to email, games, etc, but how did you get there without getting “on line.” Plus, AOL had chat rooms and instant messages.

Since moving into a place with my mother, I cannot tell you how many times I've been opening up random drawers to look for a decent pair of scissors only to come across some random box of staples from 1986 that I'm pretty sure go to a stapler my Grandpa used to own. And don't even get me started on finding wifi information for in case the power goes out and I have to reset everything (As a card carrying Millenial, I am the techie of the household. But I grew up watching my dad take apart and put together the family computer when I was a kid) my mom has hidden it in a drawer with her dog's leash, an old fly swatter, and at least 10 Kroger bags.
You needed some paperclips, bread twist ties and bread PacMan looking thingies, plus push pins, and old rubber bands- both office and hair types.
The bottom should have a leaking honey packet from Starbucks that is 7 years old. The plastic literally disintegrated.

@@jdeang3531 Not sure what you're getting at. Canadian coins and Mexican Pesos are not the same. In the US it's easier to find Canadian money in circulation. I used to work counting money and came across coins from all over the world. Canadian coins are the easiest to find, generally speaking.
