It’s not a dump question ! But thank you for asking rather then attacking as many other people have. Short answer to your question is No. Long answer to your question is…….. all fish need water going through there gills to breath!!!! Pretty strait forward. If you watch under water footage of white sharks they don’t “breath” and, by that I mean they don’t open and close there mouths like loads of other fish do when watching them under water. Sharks always have there mouths slightly open and the forward momentum pushes water through there Gills. So, when the sharks are stationary (they are very rarely stationary but it has been observed) then they will open and close there mouths to push water through there Gills. If you watch the under water footage of the shark on the beach you can clearly see the shark open and closing its mouth which is passing water over its gills 😁 I hope that makes some sense. We thank you for your comment 😎

Just to add to other replies, while its 'beached' facing towards the water, the natural tide/ flow that makes shore waves is going through gills. :)
You are correct--absolutely true. Which of course is why they released it pretty fast--it must forward to strain oxygen from the water.

They look extremely powerful! Just stunning to see them doing what they do 😎
I have juvenile white sharks in my area too. I know that because MANY of my friends have caught / seen them in our local waters. BUT NOT ME! I NEVER see them. Watching you guys has ALMOST made up for it though! This video was fantastic and I'm so proud to be a fisherman watching how you guys handled those whites. AWESOME JOB BOYS!
Thank you so very very much. It’s good to hear they are around where you are to. They are truly stunning. We are very Happy to be able to give you a close up look at a white Shark 😎 thanks for watching 😁
That was epic guys. Also, i think the shark recognised your mood, cause it was just chilling like it was docked.
They are pretty calm once they are on the beach a 😁 amazing experience 😍 thanks for watching
Awesome brothers what a awesome episode
Thank you mate! It was a real eye opener that one 😳 but a very cool experience at the same time! Thanks for watching 😁👍
I am not for shark fishing. But it`s easy to see that your method is pretty safe for the fish and their safety/ survival after beeing landed is top priority. Wasn`t planning on watching the whole thing, but couldn`t turn it off. Have to admit it was nice seeing these fish. Well done.
Really Good to hear you were able to enjoy watching it considering you are not for shark fishing. It’s not something we do these days, it was made for education purposes 😎 we really appreciate you taking the time to comment 👍
That was awesome 👌 beautiful animal. Glad you de hooked those magnificent sharks.
It was an amazing experience that I will never for get! Thanks for watching 👍😁😎
They've recovered on the East Coast of the USA now also. There are nursery's from New York to Florida. I live in South Carolina and there is a Nursery right off of Charleston. They are amazing animals. I love to just see them from a decent size boat. We've even had some here that were tagged in your neck of the woods.
That is very very cool to hear 😎 they are awesome! We love seeing them 👍 from a boat as you said 🤪 very interesting to hear fish tagged here are turning up there? It sure is a small world 😁 thanks for the comment 😎

This is Incredible !!!
You must have a Breeding Ground close by ....
You don't get to see many Juvenile GW's at all ....
Lucky the Big Momma's were not around !!!
Great to see all released happily back ...
As you say, they are a Protected Species !!!
The Film "JAWS" has a lot to answer, for the near decimation of this Shark !!!
Epic Stuff Guys !!!!
Things have definitely changed in that harbour? Jaws is definitely one of those movies that told a story that is way off the truth 😂 absolutely stunning fish 😍
