@@Bobbyliscious Yeah well, we can all guess the reason can't we?
And innocent Ukrainians are dying.
@@Quinctili No argument there. This entire war is just way for Putin to pound his sagging chest.
@@Quinctili ; Russia will win, and I'm glad about that.
Bobby Hatfield is still melting hearts almost 60 years later... Arguably the most beautiful live solo performance of all time... Perfection 👌
Ol' Bobby still nailing their hearts to the wall after all these years, and in every country. Beat that !
Definitely the MAN
if only there was someone like him around today :D He was just magical, even the men fell for those dulcet, seductive tones. If I could only listen to one person forever, it would have to be Bobby. *sigh*
Ha love the comment. So true!
@@MrCarlbrooks there's always someone around to ruin the romantic ambience ... this time, it's you! :D

This song was playing the night I asked my wife to marry me. We have been married 51 years. This is so special to me.
Interestingly, me too kind of: still married at 53 years coming up MAY 3….!!! Really, interestingly, I am **a “DENNIS “also, *& we met at a “DANCE Hall” in early 1968….I do find Roy Orbison’s work( BLACK & White Concert, etc) , occasionally Elvis…..” Run TO ME” was also PLAYING, AS we were 100 miles apart in School…….etc.
good choice.
Cool
Dennis; My son in law had this song played when he married my daughter. He cheated on her after 15 years, lied about it for three years. Broke her heart and the hearts of their two sons. I will never be able to listen to this song the same ever again.
@@wrongfullyaccused7139 thanks, Condolences on “son In law, Cheat”: we been married 53 ** YEARS , May 3, 2022.. no Cheating: (but rough times occasionally, sometimes mind Games…….)interestingly,I always had respects , *& love for FATHER IN LAW, & inLaws:: miss them a bunches……..
his singing voice will always be a treasure to the world.
The late great Bobby Hatfield singing this beautiful song. I was 15 yrs old when he this song on the Andy Williams show in 1965. I'm 73 years old and I still get goosebumps when I hear him sing this beautiful song. This is his song. RIP Bobby! We miss you! 💞💞💞
Same-Same for me too.
Me too, *& I am 74 young……. Spiritual Performances.
73 also n the greatest live performance in history great taste Maryanne👍☺️
I was 18 when this song knocked my socks off. And hers.
So sad the way bobby went out.......
So wonderful to see this young girl enjoy this song from yrs ago. Bobby's voice & this song are timeless & pricless.
R.I.P. Bobby Hatfield, They'll never be another song or another singer that can match up to that☮
LOL.. that's OK honey, American women cant find the words either.. the Great Bobby Hatfield
Many have done this but no one ever did it as well as Bobby
here. His version here is the 'Gold Standard', for sure.
This may be blasphemy but I found someone who I think may be his equal. Listen to a lady by the name of Casi Joy singing this. She is awesome.
@@gregharnist9642 She takes too many short cuts. It tells me she
can't provide the same immense, soul tingling presentation by
Hadfield, but even better singers than her couldn't either. Angelina
Jordan doesn't take short cuts and stays 'on point' with Bobby's
version, but one problem is that it really is a masculine type vocal
song. I would give Angelina a chance to go further up from the high
'90's plus %' level her version reached, but Bobby's masculine tones
are just unattainable by female voices. Even Elvis couldn't match
Bobby's version, so that should tell you something about how really
great Bobby's rendition was.
this was live, no mixers , no auto tune. no computers. just pure talent.
the song was written in the 50,s for a crappy movie. Bobby sang it for the guys going to Nam.
lonely river flows to the sea ,is the ride over there,
he,s asking his girl to wait for him, I'll be coming home.
on a personal note
if he loves you, if you want to dump him, plz don't do it when Hes in combat. you couldn't hurt him worse if you shot him in both knees. it makes it very hard on his brothers to keep him alive
when he doesn't care. he should be focusing on what hes about to step on. not who his girl is screwing, lie to him and when hes home, then , do him a favor, dump him
Yup, a one of performance. The recorded studio version was different.
Though I'd now like to hear this song auto tuned now, lol. Thanks for the idea.
Nam ? That war was in the 60's-74ish'
@@chriscockrell5939 ,, And?? Bobby did this song in '65'. I went over in '67-68'.
Dude your first sentence is what I say to these kids whenever a subject like that comes up. I do my best to not let timeless songs like this fade away.
This was in 1965. Bobby was 25 years old at the time. He was a little nervous because his Mother was in the audience.
This is a solo performance by Bobby Hatfield, the tenor half of The Righteous Brothers. Bill Medley was the baritone member who you can hear and see on You've Lost That Loving Feeling and Soul and Inspiration. Bobby died in 2003 I believe but Bill is still performing at 81 years old!
And it's a solo because unfortunately Bill Medley didn't think it'd be a hit, so he didn't participate. The video with Andy Williams shows him saying in answer to Andy's question "What do you do when Bobby sings..." He said "I go in the corner & kick myself as much as I can!"
When music was music. Brings tears to my eyes.
Tears rolling down my face as I listen to this performance.
I've seen/heard this song reviewed so many times by women and, regardless of age... young or old... regardless of culture... today's hip/hop or yesterday's rock & roll, I have yet to see a woman not emotionally touched by Bobby Hatfield's performance. And young Vera is no exception. So gratifying that after 57 years Bobby's voice still reaches a womans heart.
Same ... I can not believe how many gals have done reviews of this live performance .... and plenty of fellas too! ....
@@groofoot Just goes to show Greg ... 17 years after his death, Bobby Hatfield singing Unchained Melody still tugs at the heart strings...
@@edsmusic5823 Yep ... in about 1999 they were here in my hometown ... I wish I would have gone. Some people who went brought in some pictures they had taken, of Bill and Bobby, at a meet and greet session, to the photo shop I was managing, and wow they got to get really up close to them, and Bill and Bob looked so happy in all the photos .... two cool dudes!
love seeing what beautiful music does to absolutely gorgeous women from all over the world. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
How can any man not fall in love with you. Beautiful
Bobby really nailed this! One of the most amazing live performances ever.
I watched him sing this live on the Andy Williams show I am 80 years old it makes me cry every time brilliant voice RIP Bobby 🙏
I agree. "Unchained Melody" is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Greetings from Oregon, U.S.A.
This amazing song sung by
Bobby Hatfield was my late wife and my favorite song ever , we were married 33 years when she passed away from ovarian cancer and here 11 years later I still get tears during the the playing of this song .

Some of us were lucky to see this performance when it aired.
You had the same reaction every female has when she hears this song for the first time,,,,A little history: This performance was LIVE on national Television in the USA in front of millions of viewers. It was recorded in one take. No mixers, fancy electronics etc. Just one man, one microphone and one fabulous musical backup. It was recorded in 1965, almost 60 years ago and it is still making goose bumps today. One of the great recordings of all time.
Yes an absolutely beautiful miracle. May Bobby Hatfield RIP in the arms of his savior.
To me, this is the most romantic song ever, especially the way Bobby sings it.
Bobby was singing for his Mom, who was in the audience. He was actually pretty nervous during this recording.
I was one year old when this song came out. And, it still grabs people to this day. One of the all time classics.
At one years of age I'll bet you were rockin and I don't mean the Baby Carriage.
This song brought more tears to the Soldiers of the Vietnam War than any song we heard on AFRVN...1968/69...You are a very sweet young lady and very pretty too. God Bless you.
This live proformance by the great Bobby Hatfield is like nothing before it or after. The song has been covered over six hundred times, but no one has come close to nailing it like Bobby.
"oh my gosh" is right! I've been listening to this song for over 50 years, and that is stil my reaction!
This is what the world needs today, more music about love; this is what we grow up with in the 1960's; such beautiful music for our souls.
I had the luck to be Bobby's neighbor in Corona del Mar Ca. for some time and we would occasionally meet at his house or at the popular Quiet Woman Restaurant. He was so down to earth and he could tell stories.Fond memories of a gentleman with a great voice.
what a beautiful young girl who is just blossoming out, God Bless her
This was our sing as we honeymooned on Cape Cod in1964. So beautiful
Such an honest reaction by Russian Girl. Russian girl has a marvelous personality.
Saw this on TV when I was 15. I am 72 now. I was able to see the Righteous Brothers in concert. I have also seen Bill Medley solo. So much talent.
This was a live performance- no chance to start over. His mother was in the audience.
So nice to see you enjoying yourself while reacting to this song
Welcome to the 1960s when I graduated from high school in 1963 and listened to the blues Brothers and also many other great and memorable songs.
Still so beautiful even after all these years. 💜
Bobby was beautiful, and so are you.! ❤️
Even Russians have eargasms when listening to this song.
Bobby Hatfield is one of the greatest singers ever also this is one of the most beautiful and great songs in music history. When he teams up with Bill Medley the other brother they sing great songs as. You lost that Loving Feeling Soul and Inspiration, For once in my Life, Brown Eyed Woman, Little Latin Lupe Lu and more. Best success on yr channel. Looking forward to more of yr reactions.
Another lady in love...this song is timeless. Have a GREAT day!!
WOW, such a Sweet Little Angel............... Her accent just kills me. God Bless you, Baby Girl !!!
A normal happy beautiful woman. Respect...
Song was in the movie
'Ghost' with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore..♥
It says something that this song and Bobby's performances can reach through time and half way around world to find another fan who appreciates his magnificent talent.
Great song ,great singer.
This young woman is just gorgeous and exquisite. You can see her emotions in her eyes and facial expressions
So slavic and so beautiful.
GREAT SONG CHOICE MY RUSSIAN GIRL FRIEND. great reaction also. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
The perfect love song and perfect singer. Breathless.
Music. Knows no barriers. The only true energy that brings all peoples thoughts and minds together as one
Bobby's mother and father were in the front row when he sang this solo. If you look at his lip bite at the end and the look on his face you'll believe as I do that he was looking at his parents.
That dude had such perfect control and range!
Only one word…. MASTERFUL!!!
The vocal gymnastics... OMG... Live with an actual orchestra.
The Righteous Brothers! Bobby and Bill both were amazing singers......... That was live, no auto tune, not fireworks, just raw talent.
You have a soul full heart young lady.
Good choice! A song just as Beautiful as yourself. 💘
Well as an American, this is special song, I heard on Radio and my parents played record. The dude sings many octaves up down. No auto tune ect. Americans who care about music recognize this. I'm just surprised a Russian even knows about song. Amazing.
American music has flown around the world at least since the '50s. Sometimes it had to go through, over, and under barriers, but it somehow got there.
What a sweet child • may God grant that her life .... be an 'Unchained Melody' of love and happiness • her reaction is nothing short of precious
You are special, take care young Lady. The very best to you, you are so sweet and stunning!!!
This song was used in the movie Ghost and was relaunched to fame from the that movie. The singer's name was Bobby Hatfield and his mom was in the audience when he did this show. He , unfortunately, passed away in 2003 and this song ws written in 1965 so there was some good music written in those days.
It was written 10 years before.
His mother was in the audience for this performance
The song is as beautiful as you. Thank you for respecting the performance without interuption
This song gets me everytime
I'm so old I remember seeing the Righteous Brothers sing this song on that old show "Shindig"
Been to Russia three times. This is the beautiful side of Russia.
HOLA AMIGOS SOY JULIO DE URUGUAY. LOD SALUDO CON MUCHO AMOR Y RESPETÓ. ESCUCHAR ESTE TEMA Me HACE SENTIR JOVEN.Y CON GANAS D3 SEGUIR VIVIENDO. GRACIAS MUCHAS GRACIAS. QU3 DIOS LOS VENDIGA.
Bobby means it when he sings it and touches the hearts of women all over the world even nearly 60 years later. RIP Bobby Hatfield you will be missed for ever with love.
Love is the universal language. This song and the host's reactions give me hope for the world.
That they could have seen one another contemporaneously ,her English is remarkably good ,far better than my Russian.
This elegant young lady has an appreciation of great American music.
This song was played during the clay pottery wheel scene with the late Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore in the movie Ghost.
one of the most Beautiful songs Ever Sung
This beautiful song was written in 1955, 10 years before Bobby sang it. It was written for a movie called Unchained, about life in a prison and the prisoner thinking about his release. This version by Bobby Hatfield is the most well known and in my opinion by far the best of the many cover versions of the song. Elvis Presley, together with many others did covers of the song.
Definitely the best!
Thanks.. great
I saw that movie. Della Street from Perry Mason was in it. Barbara Hale. Grate Movie.
Olddie but goodie--- ✌ ☮ good song for a Russian girl
Amazing song perfectly sung. You are also gorgeous and we can clearly see you feeling the song
Best song for leading to unbridled passion.
Я действительно поражен и утешаюсь возрождением американской классики. Чем больше я смотрю, тем больше нахожу замечательных художников. Вы явно цените классику.
You were unable to find the English words to describe how you felt. That's no criticism of your excellent English, you would have struggled to find the RUSSIAN words too!
Most women hearing Bobby deliver this masterful performance are somewhat overcome and unable to talk coherently.
Not to worry, your face and your body language showed how moved you were.
Very enjoyable, thank you :-)
Yes you are 100pc on.Good music no matter the language is good music no matter where you hear it an thats love
@@williamescolantejr5871 :-)
Spot on, Jay. What woman would not be moved to speechlessness by being so cherished by a man? This song is simple poetry, arranged to perfection, and sung by the perfect voice. It still gives me shivers.
Many people have covered 'Unchained Melody' over the years. Whilst the Righteous Brothers version isn't by any means the original one, it's probably by some distance most people's definitive version.
You probably heard it in the movie"Ghost"
I saw The Righteous Brothers in New Orleans back in the 60’s. The Best of the Best.
This song has a revival of sorts in the film Ghost with Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopie Goldberg. It's a real tear-jerker with the visuals and context of the movie.
This song was in a movie called "GHOST" with Whoopi Goldberg, Patrick Swayze And Demi Moore 💖💯...
What a song 🤣🤣 you speak of and can't help but be moved by it. I was born in 1958, three years after it's release? To this day Everytime I hear that Song, as well as their other one's, I can't help but Swell up with Tears 😭😭☺️☺️. Their music 🎵🎶 and that song spoke volumes about Life at that time in America.
Don't feel embarrassed, ashamed, or in anyway awkward, for how it effects you upon listening too it?
That Song has Litterly, done the same too Millions of Other Women, and also Men!! Thank You so much ❣️🥰🥰❣️and Good Luck with Your Channel.
WYO, Robert, 🇨🇦🇺🇸🇨🇦🇺🇸👀👀👍👍🎵🎶🍿🍨🍿❣️❣️🙏🙏🌈
This is Bobby's song. No matter whom else covers it, it belongs to Bobby.
The Righteous Brothers version is a cover for the original song sung by Al Hibbard in 1957. And as others here have said. Bobby knocked it out of the park. Great song and a great rendition of it;
Bobby will always make women fall in love with him, no matter what era. And the best part? He never knew what effect he had.
Has to be my favorite song of all time. I was a Sailor and was gone so much. I wrote part of this song at the end of every letter.
Bobby Hatfield still melting girls' hearts--and he's been in his grave now for years...now listen to Laura Branigan do THE POWER OF LOVE...
Yup, the greatest love song yet.
There were many covers of this song written in the 1950s, but Bobby's is the best.
He was actually sick with a cold during this performance, and still nailed it.
He was so driven to perfection that he did multiple takes of the song while recording it, and was saying that he needed to do another take, when his partner Bill who had been playing piano, said NO. That one is great. Stop. And that last take was put on the record and was a huge hit.
Bill was not Bobby's biological brother, he was a soul brother.
Listen to some other songs by them to catch both voices.
This is live, not a recording studio.
One of the most beautiful songs ever.
thank you for sharing your reaction with us. You probably recognize it from the 80s movie Ghost
It is so much fun to see someone who has not grown up with this song to react to it So glad that I have this in my Gold Vault of Hits.
Just watching how the song moved you was delightful.
