These shorts are SO helpful. I’ve been using procreate for 2 years now, and I’m always learning something new, but I still get overwhelmed with longer form videos. These are bite-sized, clear, and because they’re shorter I find them more easily actionable. Love em.

Please add a feature to be able to clip a layer on to a layer folder and be able to apply blending modes on folders. This feature exists in many other art programs
Wait I'm confused, what did you do with the layer mask? Because from what I can tell you just made a more complicated clipping mask by not letting you paint spots anywhere outside the white (leopard silhouette)
@@kristinau169well the way I use layer masks is if you want to erase something but you think you might need it later. You can just mask the layer and paint it black which makes whatever is black on the mask, reflect on the masked layer and makes invisible. And all you have to do to bring it back would be paint the mask layer white. There’s several hundreds of videos that show you how to use masks, you just have to find them and learn/build from them. Art with Flo is one of the more popular ones but just watching Procreate tips can also help you
@@kaihoward7026you mean more as an “after thought” mask (lacking a better word)? Because else it looks like the same is achievable with a clipping mask (where the base layer is treated as the main mask) and everything else goes clipping layers on top. Erase or paint on the “main” to hide/reveal as needed. Just trying to grasp it in full: the benefit I can see with layer masks is that it can happen afterwards, I.e, some art got started with a clipping mask, and now needs further masking. Also very useful if each of the clipping layers above can have their own layer masks too (haven’t tried that though)
I'm used to painting, drawing and small cardboard builds. Sooo I want to get into Digital Art. I just don't know where to start, tablet, stylus, programs to use...I don't know the first thing about these programs either. Any help... please comment.

I don’t understand how they can survive with such a low entry price, one lifetime fee only (it’s already on Procreate 5.3!) and only one platform… EDIT: talking about platforms, i wish they explored some Mac/Procreate connection with sidecar or something to be able to paint on the bigger screen from the tablet, maybe.

Love learning about layers but also its amazing when you go 'wtf is she doing' and then BAM gorgeous leopard. Truly you gotta trust the process

Clipping Mask is goated
What if you want the mask to be inverted and so it’s what’s outside of the shape that is available to paint, and the inside shape isn’t affected?
