To be fair, part of the MC12 msrp is due to its rarity/low production numbers, but even if we take off $500k to adjust for that the price difference is still ridiculous. And what you said is 100% true
Eh. Not really. This is a supercar which is a different class unto itself. Everything else in the 2022 MY is outdated trash still. Edited for the boners.
@@papa_pt yes, if i ever saw one on the road i would always think to myself. “there’s so many better options at the same or lower price point” i honestly think people buy them solely for the name and heritage.
You know it's curious ... it happened to my brand new Fiat 500. Opened the gas cap, closed it again, and the light never came back on. Weird Italian stuff
Non gear heads never noticed the Maserati name decline, countless times I've been hanging out with people when they yell "ooh look at that Maserati" at a ghibli. All i can do is immediately start looking for panel gaps thanks to Doug.
Yep, non-car people still see Maserati's as rich, classy, fast cars. Even car people I know have no idea what Maserati went through these last couple of years.
Conversely, lots of knowledgeable car enthusiasts write off the golden era of Maserati (which was when Ferrari had a 50% stake) because they would rather moan and complain over second-hand info they read online than actually admit that Maseratis used to have infinitely more charm and character than period Mercedes and BMWs that look ancient in 2022.
The way you explained how he talked about “function on the bottom and form on the top” really stands out with this car and is something I didn’t notice at first. What a beautiful vehicle!
Doug you missed a very important feature: the Nettuno V6 is the first production gasoline engine to feature a prechamber ignition system, you know, like the one used in F1. This is a massive engineering trick to pull, getting a much quicker and more efficient combustion at higher rpms and making extra torque. The brand improvement you were talking about is actually pretty centered around this engine (which is a bargain if you dont care about the hybrid stuff and want to stay lighter) as it will be featured in all their top tier cars like we saw with the new granturismo trofeo and the SUV grecale trofeo

I’ll start by saying that my opinion may be slanted because I’ve been fortunate purchase and take delivery of an MC20 in the past several weeks. I’ve never been a Maserati guy, but was originally drawn to the MC20 by its styling, rarity and tech. Now that Maserati is part of the Stellantis Group, it’s no longer hampered and restricted in its performance by Ferrari. It can finally build a halo car that competes with what was always its big Italian brother. There is an elegance in its design simplicity that encompasses both the exterior and the interior. The lack of exterior vents and wings is refreshing in its design. The simple driver focused interior is free of distractions (save the climate control) and is swathed in leather, alcantara and carbon fiber. I’m extremely impressed with the build quality- remember this is a hand made car that the factory makes 5-7 MC20’s a day for the entire world. It has a carbon fiber monocoque which none of its competition can claim. And it’s Nettuno engine is packed with F1 tech- 620HP from a 3.0L 6 cylinder- currently the highest output per liter from any production car (Ferrari is about to eclipse that with he 296GGB). Additionally it’s very mild mannered, daily drivable until you push it when it really comes to life. Only time will tell about the reliability and resale. But in a sea of aging design Italian exotics, the completely new MC20 stands out from the rest.
The 2022 McLaren GT SUPERCAR Is WAY more beautiful than this. But yet again the brand MCLaren is on a whole different level than Maserati. I went from Maserati up to McLaren!
Thank you for your input! Regardless of the price point, it's nice to hear from someone who actually purchased a specific vehicle to get their take. I have always quietly rooted for Maserati in the background. They have generally had pretty good styling with unique options like the Quattroporte. But the last 10 years or so, it really has turned into the lease special Ghibli's that are clapped out in 3 years. The MC20 is a gorgeous car and I hope you enjoy it!
I can see this being big for Maserati… like, really big. Market placement and, as mentioned, the novelty of a brand new model in a segment of aging designs. Maybe this could be a turning point for the brand, and we could see them devoting more of their resources into the exotic market. Also interesting to see a pure ICE powertrain, where everyone else is going hybrid or full EV.
I actually love this car. It's an all business supercar. Beautiful, fast, and functional. I really like the interior, I'm not really a huge fan of giant screens and features and I think they nailed the buttons and screens. Just a single mode dial, gear selectors, and a volume dial. If they'd put a physical climate control dial it would be perfect. And an infotainment screen and a digital gear cluster and that's it, it couldn't be better.
The only thing I like about this car is it's looks. Other than that, there isn't really anything special about it. Rather take a Lamborghini or a porsche
@@n.b.8572 the rumors said it like that but it's not. The tub design derives from 4c but It's not the same all day. Same with the engine, it's very different from giulia qv even if it has similar specs
Gorgeous car - same reason I like Aston-Martins: clean lines, minimal boy-racer crap. I look forward to seeing it on the streets! There are lots of well-off Italians in Brooklyn, so there are a healthy number of Maseratis rolling around. They're much more common here than Ferraris and Lambos.
This car is achingly beautiful, easily the best looking in this segment. However, Doug is dead on about the tarnished brand image, and I don't think $270k is enough of a discount to get someone to forgo a Ferrari for a car that shares the same brand as the Ghibli with Chrysler underpinnings on sale at the buy-here-pay-here lot. For $175k well optioned, this could have been the start of something big for Maserati, but I'll be surprised if this leads to a revival of the brand at $50-100k more than that.
I can definitely see where you're coming from here, they definitely are heading in a decent direction, but they may need to drop their prices a little more to find a segment where they are truly competitive!
The 2022 McLaren GT SUPERCAR Is WAY more beautiful than this. But yet again the brand MCLaren is on a whole different level than Maserati. I went from Maserati up to McLaren!
If I'm going to be completely honest, just from a looks standpoint alone, I would take this over a Ferrari 296 GTB any day of the week. That thing looks sleek but a bit soulless, like Ferrari is trying to get with the times. This car feels like Maserati is WITH the times. I've seen the MC20 in person and it's even more gorgeous than in pictures, and I say that as someone who has done nothing but dog on Masi since the first time I ever sat in a Ghibli. It's a great showing from Maserati for sure but I also share your concerns. They're going to have to find a way to break the dreary Stellantis mold if they're going to continue to thrive with truly great cars. I just fear that for the same company that's badge engineering an Alfa Romeo into a Dodge, this may have just been a flash in the pan.
Nice to see Maserati getting some love again, all that steering wheel, stalk, paddle set up is the same as my Giulia albeit a little different, you get used to the silly turn signals in the end 😂🤣
It looks like a Lotus Evora - I'm wondering if they sourced some parts from Lotus Engineering, which is a separate division from the Lotus road cars division. The very first Tesla car - the 2-seater roadster - was a Lotus chassis, the Elise chassis and slightly modified body.
@@Greg_Chase tbh it looks like every other car design with minor tweaks uninteresting and over done, you can put a Lancia/Jaguar/Lexus badge on this and people still be head over heels for it.
@@LockheedMartinEnjoyer Some originality would be nice. When the Countach came out, it really was distinctive. Some styling risks are necessary. As you said, it's as if there's only one design shop on the planet and all the auto manufacturers hire it to create the next model.
If I had this kind of cash and was buying a new car in this segment, this would be the one. The seats need better bolsters, that is the only gripe. It is shocking how fast it is and absolutely stunning to look at. I like the trident 🔱
This car is absolutely beautiful but I don’t know if I would get this over a Huracan if I had one car to choose from in this segment. The Huracan has that gorgeous italian v10 that sounds much better, the interior is better, it handles better, and in general it’s just better in every single way. The only arguable plus point about this car in comparison to competitors is the styling, but it’s not like the Huracan and F8 are lacking in that category either
Say what you want about Maserati's car history, they'll always know how to make a beautiful car. I laughed when Doug was talking about out-dated styling from Ferrari and Lamborghini, even McLaren is suffering from the same flaw. Leave it to the Massi to bring a breath of fresh air.
Lamborghini doesn't suffer from out of date styling they've kept the aventador design fresh for 10 years even the original aventador doesn't look outdated
It looks amazing! I really really like it. The only issue that I see is how expensive it is. It‘s one of the most beautiful cars out there, but hasn‘t got the most luxurious interieur, nor the most brutal performance. I also really like the new Lotus Emira, that also looks like a supercar, also being mid-engined and all that for a fraction of the cost. The Masarati should be in the price range of an Audi R8 imo.
@Povilas Rekašius nah dude. Maserati has shitty build quality and they're terribly unreliable and the tech they use is always 5 years behind every other car manufacturer. Maserati punches below it's weight. A lotus is a perfect comparison in the sense that it punches above its weight. So the fists meet.. The only thing toyota about it is the motor and that thing is an overbuilt beast
Another beautiful design from Maserati. My dream car is the GranTurismo MC Stradale just for the styling and exhaust note. I also think that the GT interior has more class to it and in the final model years it had a bigger touch screen than even the new MC20 and tangible climate buttons. Sure it’s missing the tech but the pure style the car exudes makes up for it. I hope the new GranTurismo comes out stronger and hopefully with a V8 again, even if it’s TT. Glad to see Maserati coming back!
@@mrdarknessgames1 Sad. I guess it's now a Taycan competitor and the MC20 is a 911 Turbo/GT3 fighter. Hopefully used GranTurismo prices don't skyrocket because of this
I found a 2017 GranTurismo MC for $60k and I'm honestly thinking about it. It only has 24k miles and it has the new infotainment system instead of the jank old one. I've been looking at multiple diefferent cars in the 50-75 range and cant decide.
Other shared items : The airbag plastic cover on steering wheel, the steering wheel buttons and paddle shifters, the suspension button in the mode button are from Alfa Romeo
The whole steering wheel and steering column assembly is directly from a Giulia.. Not just little components here or there, the entire assy is from a Giulia. Typical maserati, they're such a cheap brand nowadays, since the ghibli
I was in Modena Italy last month and we saw several of these in town driving around. I assume they were factory cars as we passed Maserati on our way to Ferrari. They are absolutely beautiful

Pretty much all of the Maseratis of the 00s and 2010s were decent for their time (Ghibli aside). It's easy to dunk on cars from the 00s for not living up to the standards and expectations of the 2020s. But, for what it's worth, there's a whole lot of crappy C55 AMGs, 996 911s, and E46 M3s out there.
A successor? You know Maserati has reliability problems and is either in the shop or inside the garage with a check engine light. All supercars are high in maintenance, but Maserati will empty someone's wallet every time they take it on the road (something going out).
The Ghibli, Quattroporte, etc never really excited me much and I agree that Maserati's image has been damaged. But the MC20 is certainly a damn good car. I would for sure buy one if I had the money.
Tbh my only issue with it is that it simply doesnt sound like a supercar just idk just bit to tame ofc other ppl might prefer that but idk i would personnaly expect some better sound coming from it when you throttle it.... =/

Back when they were new you had the enzo, diablo, countach, veyron, eb110, I mean every supercar was so unique and stood out so much, unfortunately the target of supercars evolved into track-time only instead of making stand-out fast beautiful cars, this is above average for modern day supercars, but it isn't remarkable in any capacity. I mean shit, look at how Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti etc are just copy-pasting the same car design with slight changes and calling them new cars, IMO the true supercar era is dead now it's just simply track cars.
Hey Doug, why did you omit the Corvette C8 from your score sheet at the end? It scored 68 points 2 years ago. One of your final thoughts was that the MC20 is a budget supercar, a common term used for the Corvette. It would really put that price of the MC20 into perspective.

This really reminds me of when McLaren came back with the MP4 12C (hah, what a name) I wonder how many folks realised that would pave the way for the cars that followed and the position that McLaren have amongst supercar choices. I wonder if this is the start for Maserati...
I want to agree with you, but the Mclaren was genuinely miles ahead of it's competition which is what got them off the ground so quickly. This is a seriously lovely car but there are cheaper better alternatives.
@@Will_M600 exactly. The interior is far too bland. An r8 costs less and is much nicer in the cabin and that v10 doesn't hurt either. This Maserati just does everything decent enough and looks very pretty while doing it. It doesn't seem ahead of the competition or even that special beyond the exterior
I think that they key difference here is the fact that McLaren didn't have a parent company or a bigger sibling to take into account like Maserati does, hence they could push the envelope. Maserati has to find a balance between being able to exist on their own and being successful without being too successful because that will inevitably hurt Ferrari sales at this price point and they will call Maserati to tell them to tone it down. It's a hard act to pull but I think this car is a good start to make the brand worthy of consideration again and not just be a joke in the auto industry.

I think Maseratis are a bit like Alfas. It is purely about the emotion of the drive. They should scrap screens and stuff. Go analog, with phone connective options as "tech" and focus on aesthetics and handling. I think Lotus is Maserati's example to follow. But they do stay Italian lol, very stubbornly so.
Hi Doug, A friend let me drive this car recently. Very fun, you can actually put it in drive by touching the paddle shifter as well. And clicking both put it in neutral like a Ferrari.
The turn signal stocks are actually pretty nice and I prefer them. If you do a light touch of the stock, your indicator Will flash a few times and then stop themselves. It's perfect for lane changing as you don't have to reach for the stock q second time to turn it off.
Hey Doug, great video about an excellent car we've all been anticipating for a while now. I dig the longer format, even, these things deserve 30 mins. One nitpick if I might: older videos go into more detail on the individual points on the Doug Score ("weekend category," etc.) I had to pause on the scorecard screen to soak it in; the older format had more of that Doug dopamine hit. 🤓 Btw 2-time Evora owner here and your first Evora video (the gray pre-17) was part of my '17 400 buy process. The '20 GT I drive now was a shoo-in as they're such a joy to DD and own but your GT review was consistent; my next leap might be MC20 or 570/720 and I really appreciate your reviews.
I think it’s less about reliability and more about desirability. Their name just isn’t on the same level as the other big Super Car companies because like Doug said, they make luxury sedans and SUVs. Not crazy abstract track cars.
MC20 is so beautiful and that is enough reason for me, as an aesthete, to choose it over Huracan or F8. Not many are taking their exotic cars to the race tracks that often (some at all) so its' current performance is more than enough! However, this could be a failure or a success: 1. When the car brand wants to scale up, they usually come up with some halo model (as a "poc"). Think of Audi R8, Lexus LFA etc. However, it is important to note that Audi and Lexus had no severe reputational or reliability issues when they came up with their halo cars, whereas, Maserati does. That said, I reckon Maserati should have tackled these issues by improving the more affordable ongoing models first. And only when the brand's image was restrored, they should've produced this expensive halo model. 2. On the other hand, while Maserati isn't popular in the North America, being from Eastern Europe, I know how people go crazy over Granturismo, Quattroporte and even Ghibli models in that part of the world. Despite their notorious reputation for reliabilitity issues, that didn't seem to stop people from buying and loving them. I guess there is a certain "je nais se quois" about Maserati as a brand and I really hope they revitalize through MC20.
There's one in MC12 livery out by me, white with the blue and it looks and sounds incredible, easily the one to pick over the other cars in its class out there. The rarity alone makes it more desirable and contrary to what you said I think the Maserati name is still very strong.
The Maserati is amazing but a place where I think would’ve added practicality were the door pockets they could have made a compartment there like the center console in the door that you would be able to open and to keep things from falling out
You have to take it out on the track on Corsa or a very twisty road. Many consider this the spiritual successor to the F40. There is a reason why this is EVO magazine's performance car of the year.
If I might propose an alternative opinion, as someone whose been into the Maserati brand his whole life: what Maserati has done with the Ghibli & Quattroporte sedans is nothing new for the company, and if you think about it, nothing new for that segment of the industry as well. Their ability to sell large(er) volume luxury segment sedans (and now SUVs) allowed them to keep the lights on and subsidize the development and sales of lower volume passion projects, like their racing and supercars. They essentially paved the way for what all "Performance" brands like Porsche are doing now. They've also been successful in a segment that so many others (and they themselves at points) have attempted and failed: the high(er) volume entry-level product. While the Ghibli sedan can be scoffed at, it sells and still looks special to those who can't afford it (thus performing the function of an aspirational object.) It did this perhaps better than other attempts at a similar thing, like their ill-fated BiTurbo sedan and Jaguar's X-Type. One could even argue that the Merak represented that within their sportscar lineup as well, and I see this new one as a continuation of that- it checks a lot of the sportscar/supercar boxes, but is not totally preposterously priced. One of the reasons Maserati has done this is that they've always existed in a realm of precarity, and have had to think in more practical terms to stay in the game. Now that they are in the Stellantis Group, maybe they could become a more exclusive and exotic brand, but that would require Stellantis to invest more in rebuilding Lancia as "the Italian Jaguar" to fill the more volume-oriented segments we're asking Maserati to just leave on the table.
Did anyone else notice the check engine light being on when Doug was going through the blinker controls? It also looks like the key was pulled straight from a Chrysler product. Overall, an absolutely gorgeous car, and I'm beyond excited to see what's in store for Maserati.
@grand nagus Ferrari was seperated by FCA back in 2016. FCA became Stellantis when it merged with PSA. This car was developed after the split, although the engine seems to be related to the Ferrari V8, but Stellantis still use the Ferrari engine in their Alfa Quadrifoglios and GTA models, and with the shared mirror's, the companies clearly still work together on some things.
@@imnotamechanic3491 Ferrari while going public is still managed and controlled by the same board members at FCA. Ferrari doesn't want to publicly advertise that while on paper they were separate in reality they weren't. Now that Stanalitis is the owner, that partner ship isn't what it used to be. Also the MC20 was actually supposed to be a Alfa 6C but they decided to brand it Maserati after the PSA merger.
I really wish you would go back to the longer Doug Score where you summarize each category and why you gave it that score. I always looked forward to it, so now the videos feel a bit incomplete. Great work, otherwise, as always.
@@ThaBootyBandit , yes but this is just the "base" model that they are releasing with the introduction of the new design. Just wait until they release the "S-type" or "GTR" version with all the tuning maxed out. I had the chance to see this car all the way back in December in Padova Italy. It was the same spec with this one but white and it looked amazing. I think it was an actual order because that car is no longer in the showroom but it was amazing to see a new Maserati that isn’t a 4 door.
I own a '80 Merak SS, which is also a 90 degree V6. This MC20 90 degree V6 sounds incredibly similar, it's like the dusted off the old design and updated it with F1 tech.
Great video as usual Doug!! Considering where the brand name sits now. Would you rather buy a Corvette or the MC20? Save the money, but still get the performance. But at this price point, why not, spend 15-25K more for a Lamborghini.
Arguably the best looking Maserati thus far. However, aside from being different, for that price point, I would lean towards something like the proven Huracan or R8.
I understand what you are saying and that n/a v10 is amazing, but this car has a road presence of an hypercar(I've seen a white one in the flesh) no r8 has that kind of presence
This car is a return to when supercars were absolutely stunning at first sight. No crazy wings, gills, or gaping holes, just a careful study of sheer beauty. Sure, the interior is a bit sterile(but I'll take that over what most of the competition puts out plus it has the high-regarded UConect 5 system) and the V6 doesn't have that classic Italian symphonic wail of an exhaust(easily fixed), but it does deliver on the emotional appeal. I think Maserati purposely dialed back the sharpness of the car to deliver a more tolerable driving experience(dare I say daily driver). Huracans and F8s require a lot of focus. My wife could hop out of her S63 Coupe and drive this just fine. This car could be what finally shakes off the subpar image of Maserati.
aside from the climate control situation, i love the fairly understated interior and exterior. a supercar for those who dont want to be seen in a supercar kind of thing.
More on the parts sharing, those column mounted paddle shifters, steering wheel controlls and turn signal stalks are exactly the same in my Giulia QV :)
He addressed that while driving it, that Maserati is trying to limit supply so that it more realistically matches demand. That's something these didn't do with their other recent offerings, which were also generally sub-par for their classes compared to competitors. An oversupply of a fairly mediocre product is always going to mean deeply discounted pricing. The fact that their value was almost completely wiped out by depreciation within a year didn't help either. The only issue here is that they are competing in a space they have no experience in against dominant, established competitors like Lamborghini and Ferrari. They're going to have to hope a lot of people are willing to even consider an MC20. Sure, it's a bit cheaper than its rivals, but is this segment brand cachet matters more than price. And it's hard to get more cachet than Lamborghini and Ferrari when it comes to supercars.
they succeeded it making another argument for the chevy corvette z06 it has everything this should have had flatplane screamer engine v8 layout actual track performance
Hopefully the positive points of this car indicates improvements to the more affordable cars in their lineup. I'd love to see them be more competitive outside of the supercar segment.

Thanks for the documentary.

This car is achingly beautiful, easily the best looking in this segment. It's a great showing from Maserati for sure but I also share your concerns. They're going to have to find a way to break the dreary Stellantis mold if they're going to continue to thrive with truly great cars. Another beautiful design from Maserati. My dream car is the GranTurismo MC Stradale just for the styling and exhaust note. God damn this thing looks so good. It’s amazing how many crappy design choices are being made from big names recently and and to then see Maserati come back with something that looks so great is awesome. I have to laugh at how much of an after thought that centre screen is - it’s almost like they started developing this thing 15 years ago and finally released it when screens started becoming a thing haha. Massive respect to them for coming out and owning their reputation position too - I hope this does well for them as we all win when there is competition.
I mean yeah this looks good, but it doesn't have any stand out features like EVERY modern supercar.
What do you think of the new C8 Corvette z06?
@@AspireGMD not just that It's all about lining shareholders pockets and not about the car and the meaning to it anymore.
@@joeyblazik7990 I think it's decent looking, the only thing that truly makes it remarkable IMO is it's price.
Just look away from the interior design honestly, a Honda can do better than that. Absolutely unacceptable for a car costing more than $200k
Ever since this car came out I’ve been in love with it, no other modern day exotic does it to me like this MC20 does, nothing.
Hey Doug, why did you omit the Corvette C8 from your score sheet at the end? It scored 68 points 2 years ago.
One of your final thoughts was that the MC20 is a budget supercar, a common term used for the Corvette. It would really put that price of the MC20 into perspective.
because it ain't competing with a corvette. No one, and I mean NO ONE would look at an mc20 and corvette side by side and say, hey, let me save 200k and get corvette. 0-60 go brrrr...
@@catto9694 your full of sht. any performance oriented person would compare these, any person that has maintenance cost in mind would also compare these. The price in Europe will be very close to C8zr1 since they have tarifs for cars from US and its a simplistic functional design just like.the C8 but the C8zr1 will rape this on the nordshlife
@@catto9694 Say that about the Z06. A non-car person wouldn't know which car is more expensive and the C8 Z06 does 0-60 in 2.6 sec vs. the MC20's 2.9 sec, so 0-60 doesn't go brrrr in the Masi's favor lmao. Even a base C8 has around the same 0-60 times as the MC20. But I will say although the Z06 looks more aggressive and track focused, the MC20 is one of the best looking supercars i've ever seen, easily.
@@toxicgracie3772 most non car people would know the logo difference in chevy and maserati though, also us cars measure 0-60 times with rollouts, europeans don't, so 0-60would be comparable (besides, that wasn't my point. If I wanted a fast 0-60, I'd get a 2000 hp ricer) the point I was trying to make was that both cars are targeted at different demographics. Anyone who can afford mc20 can easily afford a vette, but vice versa ain't a thing (unless you start counting dealer markups, because I am pretty sure that z06 will go off dealers showroom at 150-200k at least in this market, because normal ones are 100k+ already)
This really reminds me of when McLaren came back with the MP4 12C (hah, what a name)
I wonder how many folks realised that would pave the way for the cars that followed and the position that McLaren have amongst supercar choices. I wonder if this is the start for Maserati...
I want to agree with you, but the Mclaren was genuinely miles ahead of it's competition which is what got them off the ground so quickly.
This is a seriously lovely car but there are cheaper better alternatives.
@@Will_M600 Yeah this is true, they were coming from the F1 with it’s huge prestige.
@@TjClarkish don't forget that the MC20 is lighter, quicker, and better handling than an R8 thanks to its carbon tub. Complaining that the MC20 is a bad value compared to the R8 because it has a V6 is like complaining that the 4c is a bad value compared to the Corvette because it has a 4-cylinder.
Would be interesting how this Maserati compares to the Ferrari 296 gtb. I know the Maserati is down about 200hp but I get the same vibe from both: minimalistic and driver focused
The MC20 is significantly lighter. I also don't think the 296 GTB has a full carbon tub like the MC20. I think the MC20 will be the purist's choice vs. the flashier, faster-on-paper 296GTB.

Did you buy it?
I think Maseratis are a bit like Alfas. It is purely about the emotion of the drive. They should scrap screens and stuff. Go analog, with phone connective options as "tech" and focus on aesthetics and handling. I think Lotus is Maserati's example to follow. But they do stay Italian lol, very stubbornly so.

Hi Doug,
A friend let me drive this car recently.
Yes, my BMW 535i Twin Turbo V-6 has the same signals.
I mean that goes for most cars with normal turn signals after 2010 bro, these are inferior.
Btw 2-time Evora owner here and your first Evora video (the gray pre-17) was part of my '17 400 buy process. The '20 GT I drive now was a shoo-in as they're such a joy to DD and own but your GT review was consistent; my next leap might be MC20 or 570/720 and I really appreciate your reviews.
I too miss the Doug Score breakdown

@@Orielparadise Kind of like the NSX! You're super right!
I always liked the Maserati's elegant designs but the fact that their resale prices are so low say something about their reliability.
However, this could be a failure or a success:
I just wish they planned to do one with the legendary cross plane V8 that made recent Maseratis so desirable.
Too bad the C8 Z06 took that torch to make a desirable engine sound.
@@sonicloud7774 That's a flat plane V8... I wish they made this one with the Maserati cross plane crank.

There's one in MC12 livery out by me, white with the blue and it looks and sounds incredible, easily the one to pick over the other cars in its class out there. The rarity alone makes it more desirable and contrary to what you said I think the Maserati name is still very strong.
The Maserati is amazing but a place where I think would’ve added practicality were the door pockets they could have made a compartment there like the center console in the door that you would be able to open and to keep things from falling out
I literly had the exact same thoughts think i saw it on some other supercars having that
Yes, like the Porsche 987 and 997 has.
Beautiful looking vehicle .
Love that color.
I think Maserati hit it out of the ballpark with this , super super cool !
A cogent and terrific analysis. Thank you.
Got to love the ‘check engine’ light on a new car.
hahhahaaha Maserati loves to keep people on the edge of their seats from start to finish
?? its not on, the power is on without the running so all the lights will be on, how dumb can you be?
I was just surprised about how he still complains about how the turn signals work, like he STILL has no clue how to use them.

I love Maserati as a brand. My all time favorite car is a 1953 A6 GTS. Coolest looking car ever.
