This is honestly one of the most highly anticipated reviews from Doug and it's finally here. The Valkyrie is nothing but pure automotive madness and I don't know if any brand will be able to make a car on this level ever again. And the fact it's Aston Martin who accomplished this is something even more special.

I wonder when the video comes out where he explains why his video about his parents failed so hard he had to delete it. He'll blame something like we all just didn't listen to him and how we all just hate him now that he's successful then tries to tell us that he's not REALLY rich, that his Nantucket house is barely out of the lower third price range, and his San Diego house really isn't that opulent despite the recent remodel and how you know he's down to earth because his car lair is barely more than a warehouse, it's not like he pays a crew of attendants to fuss over all his cars, he just gets his Cars&Bids staffers to do that, like anybody would.
Big thanks to the owner Ron for allowing Doug to make this video with his car. As an enthusiast in Salt Lake City, let me add some insight. Ron is an absolutely incredible person. Self made billionaire, but more importantly he’s just a normal enthusiast, you can catch him at normal car meets and he’ll sit there and talk to you, even let you sit in the car. And even more important than THAT, he donates thousands of dollars to local charities (especially make a wish Utah), and encourages others to do the same. He ALSO will invite anyone who donates to come to private events and see his new cars. That’s how I saw his huayra for the first time before Instagram or UA-cam or anyone else did. Guy is a huge pillar of the community and a great and kind hearted man.
Yeah it looks like there may be an about-face as automakers realize people like big engines in hypercars. Same as people liking mechanical watches to quartz in nearly all high end models.
EU regulations has now made it next to impossible for any big car manufacturers to put a V12 in a hypercar. If they manufacturer make less than a certain about of cars per year like Pagani then they can build a hypercar with a V12. Italian government helping out Lambo and Ferrari but even Porsche is now having issues trying to make a hypercar non electric.
Thought it was strange that there was a random white toyota sequoia in the background at an Aston Martin dealer at 9:36 and then I remembered it's probably Doug's😂

For the badge the reason it has to be stored in a fridge is that if it’s held by hand the temperature we radiate would actually warp the emblem due to how thin the metal is. This was said directly by Aston Martin in their delivery video of this exact car 😮
In aerospace engineering, it is quite normal to put cold metal parts in precisely fitting holes in a high temperature structure. When the temperature of the two parts equalizes, the fit is very tight so you don't need any other bonding such as glue or weld.
When you are talking about the other Astons like they are citycars when compared, you mean it's serious business. This is a car best enjoyed on a track, everything in it says "racing car with a plate", and I love it.

I never thought I would say this but this car is worth every penny. Everything is unique about it. Instead of quirks and features, Doug should have covered what is conventional in this car. That would have been a challenge.
T.50 over this, any day of the week. The T.50 is built with driver enjoyment in mind - a true feast for the senses - a perfect car for weekend drives, for the lucky few who can get their hands on one (and even fewer who will actually drive it the way it was meant to be driven) - just a perfect blend of comfort and insanity. It also seems like a car that is still insanely rewarding and fun to drive while nowhere near it's (insanely high) limits. I don't really get the point of the Valkyrie other than just to show off ones wealth. Too much race car for the weekend drives, but not really enough for the race track (IMO there are far better and cheaper options to have fun with on a race track, especially if you have the kind of money to afford one of these.) Also to me the engine didn't sound that great in this video. May just be how it was miked, but all the T.50 test drives I watched sound soooo much better inside the car, despite both using a Cosworth NA V12.
@@jackclay3208I understand the Valkyrie as a track car. They shouldn't have built them as street legal. The GMA T.50 purpose was to be a very useable supercar... Even the smaller displacement engine (not electric assisted) and manual box suits street better.

I know Doug and Ron's teams were frustrated with the audio and vibration of the camera.... Just my opinion, I think it tremendously enhances this video. It enables us to better imagine and feel what is going on in the cabin.

@@DougDeMuro Oh I agree with not owning one and driving someone else's (given the opportunity), especially this one considering even just getting in is a gymnastic workout and basic car functions are a chore. But I also imagine that cars with this level of visceral driving experience that you can forgive that, even if its not a car for going shopping.
