if Lon was awarded one dollar for every good idea he shared with eager consumers, he'd be a thousandaire by now.
My issue with this app is that reviewers directly benefit from their reviews so all the reviewers are biased
How are they biased ? The free items do not come from the manufacturer, they come from flip. Many of the reviews I’ve seen are critical of the product being evaluated:
@@LonSeidman simple psychology that is pretty well understood. When you can benefit from the arrangement then there is going to be some bias. It’s not necessarily as much bias as straight up pay for play, but we are all subject to bias. We don’t have to be aware of it to happen.
The best reviews come from people who have no financial arrangement with the supplier of the product.
Still an interesting model though so appreciate you sharing the details.
@2:20 Lon is the best! Just as soon as I thought he veered off from the norm he came right back to the normal intriguing verbiage!
Interesting. Will check this out. I appreciate new platforms that are trying to disrupt online shopping in innovative ways. Whatnot represents that as well with its very kinetic experience. This one perhaps is taking a different spin on the product influencer.
Hi Lon, you do such awesome videos. I think you should modernize the background a bit.
The Logitech X56 makes me remember the days of when I use to play all the flight simulators and use the Microsoft flight stick.
I remember those amazing Thrustmaster kits that cost a small fortune but were modeled after F-16 flight controls.
3:46 Still some prices might be higher or lower even with the "discount"-
Went to the web site, it said it's better with the app, so I downloaded the app. I live in Canada, don't know if that makes a different or not but it asked me to create an educator or student account, I am neither and then it asked me what kind, so I clicked on adult and then I clicked and answered question after question and just gave up after5 to 10 minutes and uninstalled the app
Only 60w for the mini dock pass through, laptops I work with are almost always 65w
There is a really interesting (to me at least) podcast from Waveform with an interview of the Retrospekt founders. They also restore Walkmans and other electronics. I think I am too old to see the appeal of old Polaroid cameras but my gen z kids love them.
My kids (8 and 11) love instant cameras too. My sister-in-law got them these little Fuji instant film cameras that they're having fun with. I'll have to tune into that podcast - Retrospekt has an interesting business model.
Can you set up 2 accounts - one private and one public?
USA only app, not available in the UK
I didn't think that R2D2 would be able to use a laptop. He doesn't have arms.
he has those little metal arms that pop out :)
At the very least they should have a gift option that hides a purchase for a specific time frame or an option to hide a purchase from certain people.
thats a cool mouse
Is it really a review if the goal of the video is to make as many sales as possible?
The app is interesting but when trying it on my pixel 4xl the app is super laggy
Definitely an IOS focused app that was poorly ported to Android
If it werent for that I would be using this app
