    Your videos are so helpful, especially for a beginner like me. They give me more confidence while sewing. It took me forever to figure out the satin stitch, but I never knew I needed a specific foot. Thanks so much!!

    Then you can definitely use it for applique. Have you seen our Edge Stitching/Stitch in the Ditch foot? That's my favorite foot to use when doing applique because the guide is so accurate. You can use a satin stitch with the edge stitching foot too.

    Every time I try to do a satin stitch it either bunches or chews up my fabric. Idk why. Any advice?

    It depends. Is the quilt already made (batting and backing)? Or are you just adding an applique onto the quilt top?

    Does the bobbin thread have to be the same as the spool thread when sewing with specialty threads like the embroidery or metallic thread you demoed with?

    • @SewingPartsOnline
      @SewingPartsOnline  7 років тому +2

      It doesn't "have" to be, but you'll often see better results with thread that is the same weight

    Hi SarAh, I want to know, how Satin stitch differ in looks, when sewn with brother ‘A’ foot and when sewn with Satin stitch foot. Can you explain with illustrating video. Please.😊

    • @SewingPartsOnline
      @SewingPartsOnline  Рік тому

      A satin stitch foot has a channel underneath the foot to allow dense stitches to pass through easily. An "A" foot does not. The satin stitch foot is perfect when doing applique or decorative stitches. I hope that this helps.

      Your manual should show the different stitches you can do with the zig-zag foot. It varies by the machine. If you have questions, please email us your make and model and we will be happy to help you. Our email is info@sewingpartsonline.com.

    Im losing hope in sewing with these troubleshooting, errors and necessary changing tools and tensions, threades manually repeatedly, etc etc
