Your videos are so helpful, especially for a beginner like me. They give me more confidence while sewing. It took me forever to figure out the satin stitch, but I never knew I needed a specific foot. Thanks so much!!
Then you can definitely use it for applique. Have you seen our Edge Stitching/Stitch in the Ditch foot? That's my favorite foot to use when doing applique because the guide is so accurate. You can use a satin stitch with the edge stitching foot too.
I'm so happy I found your channel!
Every time I try to do a satin stitch it either bunches or chews up my fabric. Idk why. Any advice?
Need a stabilizer.
Maybe your tension is tooo tight .. get a scrap of material and practice combinations of length, width and tension.. hope this helps! 🐨
I have just started a quilt top and I have a Brother XL 3750.
Best videos... clear expectations...❤️
Your videos are so helpful👍🏼👌👌
It depends. Is the quilt already made (batting and backing)? Or are you just adding an applique onto the quilt top?
Thank you so much
can you use it on chiffon, too?
Love your videos. Excellent.
Does the bobbin thread have to be the same as the spool thread when sewing with specialty threads like the embroidery or metallic thread you demoed with?
It doesn't "have" to be, but you'll often see better results with thread that is the same weight
I just ordered a satin foot for my machine
When I was sewing my satin yesterday to make a single layer mask... but the thread kept just tangling on the back side.... did u change any of the tensions or anything?
I do this sewing often, but can never find anyone who explains the right needles, threads and settings! Mine comes put ok, but im so missing something to get that clean stitch and I'm still figuring it out.
Hi SarAh, I want to know, how Satin stitch differ in looks, when sewn with brother ‘A’ foot and when sewn with Satin stitch foot. Can you explain with illustrating video. Please.😊
A satin stitch foot has a channel underneath the foot to allow dense stitches to pass through easily. An "A" foot does not. The satin stitch foot is perfect when doing applique or decorative stitches. I hope that this helps.
What weight thread and what size needle for different fans.
It doestn't work well in my machine.. It makes pucker in my fabric.
Is it possible to sew satin stitch with lowering feetdog ?
What is that material that the satin is lined with?
Is this foot available for the Brother SE400? If so, what is the part number please? I have not been able to find it on the web site. If not, which foot is a substitute? Thank you.

I love to watch all your videos. I just buy a sewing machines 4 days ago. I haven't use yet. I have a question, the zigzag foot that can also be use on straight stitch, what else or what stitch can use the zigzag foot? ( sorry for my english) anybody know, pls.
Your manual should show the different stitches you can do with the zig-zag foot. It varies by the machine. If you have questions, please email us your make and model and we will be happy to help you. Our email is info@sewingpartsonline.com.

Ωραίο το βίντεο αλλά θα ήταν ακόμη καλύτερο αν δεν ήταν τα γράμματα μπροστά.
Could this foot be used for applique on quilts?
Im losing hope in sewing with these troubleshooting, errors and necessary changing tools and tensions, threades manually repeatedly, etc etc
