Really appreciate someone actually explaining how to use, and not just annoying music.

OMG, such an awesome video. I'm making a reversible circle skirt that requires the use of double-sided bias binding around the raw edges and I'm so glad that I can use my adjustable binder foot to sew it on with ease. Since using this foot is new to me, I'm going to do a bit of practice first.

The front of the binding foot is raised to such an extent that my binding isn't feeding properly. I can see it's slightly elevated here as well, yet it doesn't seem to be a problem.

Thank you! Got the foot with tape maker but had no idea how to use it until a UA-camr said it is for feeding the binding so I searched for how to use and found you. Now I can practice.

Brilliant demo Kirsty! I have this foot but never used it as I did not have a clue what to do with it so thanks for demystifying it for me. You have just saved me loads of time. I am making scorecard wallets for a lawn bowls association and I bound the edges by hand what a nightmare, so this is also a very timely demo for me. Thanks so much. Off to play with it now!

Excellent explanation throughout Kirsty thank you so much. I’m self taught and very much a newbie and have a little project someone has asked me to help with. After watching this demo I feel so much better about the process and actually feel confident to give it a go. I just need to buy the foot now. Thanks again I’ve subscribed so will hopefully come accross more of your videos x

Every video I have seen on this foot is with hard, coarse fabrics, so it goes through without a hitch, because soft fabrics don't go through it - they jam or lose shape before they are stitched. I bought one and it is a nightmare for anything else.

Hi Rhonda, Kirsty says that she removes the binding from the foot and finishes using one of the various traditional methods.

I have just ordered the adjustable foot and your video is by far the easiest to follow and not at all stress inducing. I darn well sewed my foot to my fabric last night attempting bias work with a basic j-foot. I can do it but it is so hard to keep that line straight and even while sewing. I will rewatch as soon as my bias adjustable foot comes in!

Thank you so much. I have this Brothers foot & it was a bit fiddley for me. Cutting end & even starching could help. I now know the readings are in cm. We use Imperial (inches) in the States but I have both on my measuring tape. I've always hand stitched backs because the Amish Folded Star trivets are thick but it would work great on other projects.

Thank you for this video! This has been a huuuuge help. I've been hand sewing for over 20 years, and have just gotten my first machine and have been trying to figure out the edging, or as it geuss it's properly called "binding". I make all kinds if tactical and ourdoor type gear with cordura and the binding is absolutely essential on it. Again, thank you soooo much for making this!

Using the standard Brother presser foot holder supplied with the machine and genuine Brother Adjustable Binder Foot you should have no problem with the snap-on fitting. You may need to check with your dealer why it’s not fitting for you.

Rosanna, Janome machines seem to have the same click-on type fitting but we don't have Janome machines to test it being a Brother-only agent. Basically, if you can see from the video that you have the same fitting then it should work.
