It didn't taste like sesame to me but who knows..maybe I'll just have to go back! It's too bad, they had a branch in Tokyo open up a few years ago but it closed down recently.
Hi Frank, big fan of your channel. I just recently came across a Gyukotsu Ramen in Osaka. If you are around please give it a try. I was blown away by its taste. Gyukotsu Ramen Bukkoshi in Osaka.
Good to see an update Frank! Btw did you change your camera? The quality was a lot lower than your previous videos.. thankfully the ramen shots were still good!
It was actually the same - I think it just struggled in the dark, in terms of video quality and the clarity (was pretty blurry) at the beginning with my intro. We're back to normal for the first one!
The Pollution & Yankii "asides" have piqued my interest; have you considered a "side" series with more of a historical element, but still with food as part of the story?
😆 ramen and water for me too... never been to kitakyushu will add this to the list!
Water for the purists, to taste that soup as much as possible 😋
More Kita Kyushu to come in the next video!
Yum. Sweet ramen dreams tonight.
Dream of noodles 😀
I love the green asterisks to denote the ingredients. That’s a great trick!
Thanks! Want to highlight them properly 👍
Now, I really want to go to Japan and eat all the ramen I could. 😊
I'm sure one day you will!
ramen issou has been on the rise in popularity with Filipino travelers! so many travelers make it their ramen of their first night
That's awesome! Happy to hear it.
Frank, thanks for the side notes and history of Kitakyushu! Oh, and the review of the ramen, of course!
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed this one too!
I see a video from Frank I click....
It's a ritual
Thank you for doing so 😊
"Ram en Roll!" well done sir.
I knew you would appreciate that one 😀
Your a beast, 5 bowls? Just got back from Tokyo, it was two bowls a day and yakatori or Omakase in the evening
i know right 5 bowls is nutsss
That's still plenty! Yakitori or Omakase in the evening is prob the equivalent of 2 extra bowls 😊
All aboard the Ramen Express! 🚂 🍥
Thanks for coming aboard!
I need to do exactly what Frank san has done. Ah can’t wait.
Love it 😀
Thanks for another good video. Surprised they close that early in kita kyushu!
I was surprised too! Thanks for watching 😄
Doro Ramen the pork bone and peanut butter, you may have their secret ingredient
Haha, maybe. Or maybe I just missed the mark. Either way, a nutty tonkotsu bowl it was!

Could the ‘peanutty’ flavour come from sesame oil? Sometimes I get them confused.

Haha, yes!!

I don't know if I know enough for a whole separate series but will try to throw out random info like in this one more often 😊
Wait … only ONE bowl?! Blasphemy!
Surprised I wasn't hit by lightning from the heavens after that 😊
First comment!!!
😀😀
