The part of him that remained trapped inside the lich king was probably the only thing that kept the scourge from destroying the world and they just made a mess of him in Shadowlands

The song used in this is perfect. It has the lyrics that shows us his regrets and also what could've been had Jaina stood by his side and helped him through what was to come. Maybe, just maybe, things could've been different. Great tribute, just wish Shadowlands didn't end the way it did, what a huge disrespect to such a great character. I think they shouldn't have even brought Arthas into the story if they were gonna just butcher him the way they did.

The fact they gave that redemption to fucking sylvanas (someone who was not forced during the worst of it) in shadowlands instead of arthas is sooo much worse, made me hate Activision Blizzard. I swore to myself I will never watch/play WOW anymore. Unless they bring back Arthas (hopefully at least in death they don't ridicule him further 😢)

This is incredible. Started playing WoW in Wrath and to me was hands down the best expansion. The lore, raids, challenge without ruining dungeons with keys and just so much more. 2nd guild on my server to down LK 25 man. Don’t even remember how much /played I had but it was all worth it. Thanks for making this.
The one true Lich King
This was the story arc Blizzard should have made into a movie. Not the dungeons and dragons spin off we got.
I love his story , went down the dark path to try and save everyone ended up corrupted and as he sitting in the frozen so powerful yet looks so lonely and in death hated and forgotten
....being someone who read the book....,wanted to protect everyone,to make everyone be proud of him as himself and future king,seeing everything he saw and being unable to do anything,when tried,everyone abandoned him.....,even,the one that promised him SHE WELL NEVER ABANDON HIM NO MATTER WHAT!.......having blood on his hands.....,i love this story,like someone said:The way to HELL is paved with GOOD INTENTIONS,and....shadowlands just........,destroyed it,for everyone who said about him....,like all of us loosing someone precious and being alone and lost,you go any road that give u a purpose....he went the dark path,but forever well be the greatest and the most remebered villan

The "modern" writers decided to retcon Arthas. Before these low value, trashy new writers came in. Arthas was fighting to hold the undead at bay from destroying the rest of the world. Jana talking about how he kept an amulet that was sentimental to them verified that a part of him was still there. There was a struggle within Arthas. It's amazing how bad they fumbled his storyline later on. A redemption arc in Shadowlands would have brought people back screaming for joy. Instead they made it boring and lame. Then had Arthas just fade out? That to me was the official death of Blizzard. It's been dead for years. That was the moment it's death was in the obituary.
