If u remember a dialogue from Warcraft 3 where Kel thuzad says , "The lich King foresaw this as well, that you will lead the scourge", something like that. Lich King or Nerzhul ( formerly shaman) has far sight and did predict many things. The last line by Kel thuzad, "You have a big role to play on this grand design", After archimonde was summoned.
Wrath of the lich king has always and will be my favourite expansion. Nothing tops it. The lore is just awesome. The only expansion that made you upset when it finished and made you regret killing the villain.

After he needed to kill an entire city he wanted revenge and got corrupted on the way. Today we have dragons that tell you they got their powers back because they are now a big family again... Many also don't understand that the current game is just more soft. Yeah we had the maw but I mean the combination of what is shown in the world and the story behind it. Back in the days we had Thaddius. A flesh diant that was build from women and children. You can still hear the screams of them in Naxxramas until he dies. The couple that got tortured in Scholomance but with magic where kept alive just to torture them longer. I hope that now with Chris Metzen back that we will get better storys again.

Dreadklan Arthas died in Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne. In WOTLK we set him free from the torture ner'zhul put him through over 10 years. He had one of the best character arches in all of video game history and the effects of his actions still ring in modern WoW and maybe even in Warcraft 4 whenever they decide to make that.

Wow movies should be based on Arthas. Because then writers wouldn't have to juggle between the horde and alliance players, to give them both their parts. Everyone loves Arthas story. And it is THE story in Warcraft.
