You only clean the brushes with antibacterial soap? There's no 2nd step of cleaning them with the barbicide right?
Will that do anything if you put the brushes in there?...That may sound like a dumb question.

Karine's Kitchen this is the proper way how to clean. When I had first started I only knew about cleaning with barbicide & that’s how I did it for a while until I started doing more research. To be safe & clean I would do your best to purchase the sterilizer. 💖

Thanks for the video! I was just wondering if you have to replace the barbicide solution after every set of tweezers. I only have enough tweezers for one client, so if I have to clean them between multiple clients throughout the day do I have to keep replacing the barbicide? Or how long would you say it’ll stay good in the box? Thank you so much!

You’re welcome! Sorry for the late reply. Technically you are supposed to switch it out after each use but I know a lot of people who switch it out every couple of days or no more than a week. If I’m constantly busy I’ll switch every few days especially right now.

I hate to butt in but I took the barbicide certification during COVID and according to their guidelines “How often should I change the BARBICIDE® solution in the jar? BARBICIDE® must be changed daily in all containers used to submerge combs, brushes, shears, implements-that is all tubs, glass or plastic jars. It should also be changed whenever contaminated or diluted incorrectly.” So only once per 24 hours. Just be sure to scrub the implements clean before putting them in the solution to disinfect!! Hate to see anyone waste lol

I got certified with Fixe Beauty, and I was taught not to use brushes (lash shampooing brush) like the ones you demonstrated in your video because there's no actual way of properly disinfecting them. There's bristles within the ferrule of the brush that you wouldn't be able to reach unless, you took the brush apart.

I no longer use the brushes I use the lip applicators now 😊 Being in school they also used brushes especially for facials we would re use our facial brushes and clean them exactly how demonstrated in this video. Using the lip applicators seems to be more clean and much more easier to use as well. So I no longer use the brushes. 🤎

I recently used that heat sterilizer, left my lash tweezers in there longer than I should have, now I can’t use them. The heat has loosen up, expanded my tweezers, if that makes sense. Now it doesn’t grip the lashes 😫😩😭😭
