    Ok so few months prior i decided to change my skin care routine, I used the hydrating cleaner cerave for about 4 months. It’s broke me out so bad, I would feel itching and I would get pimples times to time. After I’ve had enough I decided to switch to the hydrating cleaner, btw I have dry skin/ semi sensitive. It’s been about two monthes since I started using la Roch de posay, and OML I see a difference, I didn’t break out it helped with my texture and my flaky skin and some acne. I use micellar water to remove my makeup And sometimes a cleansing balm for extreme makeup. But overall I love it so I totally agree with you !

      Sarah Beghdadi yes! The la roche posay is literally so good! One of the best on the market imo!

      Yess the cerave cleanser is breaking me out so bad and made my skin feel itchy. I thought it was just purging but it has been over a month and it’s giving me so many more pimples then I have ever had before I started using it. I’m thinking of switching to the hydrating Roche Posay cleanser but it might be too early. Any tips or thoughts?

      I’ve never used LRP, even when I had 10 free trial sized bottles I gave them away! Just bc I hate Cerave cleaners so much. Now I wanna try it

    I can 120% agree with you when it comes to the Cerave cleanser! My skin feels very uncomfortable for some reason after I wash my face with it so I was wondering if there's a big difference between them since both products are suposed to be hydrating. I finished my cerave cleanser and I will never buy again.. Not for combination skin I guess.. Maybe it works well for very dry and old-ish skin though. I'd have liked to see the texture difference between the two, but it's a good review anyway~ Thanks a lot!

    Agree!! Cerave leaves the residue and I feel so confused when UA-camrs rave about how good it is when it doesnt even do what it is supposed to do - cleanse! And then my precious skincare serums cant penetrate my skin well,the cleanser is supposed to clean ,not moisturize persay. I am glad you said that LRP doesnt leave the residue, I will try that! Thanks for the informative video:)

    I L O V E CeraVe, their daily SPF 30 moisturizer is my favorite. I’m definitely going to try the face wash next 🙌🏽

      I like Cereve moisturizer with spf 30. But you can’t rely on negative reviews or comments because I almost didn’t buy it. It does have a cast but it blends away even with my medium brown complexion.And they said it rolls of the skin., I’ve had no issues.

    I also noticed the sticky film that the cerave cleanser left. I've been looking for a gentle cleanser that doesnt leave a film so im glad to hear the LRP doesnt

    I don't know why La Roche Posay is more expensive in Amerca, because they are both owned by L'oreal, I think it is the French Pharmacy cache!

      @@marileorube24 i opened it and the first couple washes was oke i did not feel anything on my skin but it is fraganced, people say it doesnt but it does have this certain cosmetic fragnance. But remembered i was using this korean cleanser that was not emptied yet so i finished that one first. After 3months finishing it. I tried the rosposay and wooow the smell becomes heavy i did not want to use it but i had no choice, my backup cleanser (did not arrived yet) so i used for couple days. My skin become so SENSITIVE, IRRITATED and DRYER than before. My other products that normally used become. After stop using it, my other products became normal again.

    My skin is normal to oily combination but very sensitive and reactive. When I used the CeraVe cleanser my skin was both crusty and dry at the same time(yes I did use an exfoliant), I've used other cream cleansers so I know that my skin shouldn't feel this way.
    Today I bought the LRP cleanser and used it, a nice and light gentle cleanse, the texture is much nicer than the CeraVe one and doesn't have the weird smell. I'll have to use it for about a month to see my true opinions but so far- it's good.
    Btw, not really important but I really hate the CeraVe packaging, La-Roche Posay shows that the design can be minimalistic&medical but nice to look at. Also here the cleansers from both brands are around the same price, LRP has been sold in the pharmacies for years

      @brooklynsbaby4367 3 роки тому +2

      @@mspaez I keep using it, it's nothing "wow" but it doesn't fuck up my skin which is more than enough. On my very sensitive days, it can sting a bit if I don't wash it off quickly, though overall it doesn't trigger my skin's reactivity and doesn't leave a weird film like the CeraVe cleanser. I am currently looking for a "fattier" cleanser that foams up and leaves the skin smooth, like the Fenty Beauty cleanser or the Nuxe honey face wash(which's formulation I absolutely adore but I'm afraid to use it often since it's so fragranced)

    At Walmart the CeraVe value size is $14 and it comes with a 3 oz travel size. I ordered the la roache posay one last week because after 4 months the CeraVe one has been good to me and I love it but I've started to break out but I use a few other products as well. Mine smells like nothing and there's no residue. I think you got a fake one since you ordered off Amazon or it was old.
    I can't wait to try the lrp one!

    Good review, thanks! I've been using the CeraVe Hydrating clesnser for quite awhile now, but I recently began using the Laroche-Posay foaming cleanser in the evening. Since I'm almost out of the CeraVe I've been thinking of trying the LRP Hydrating cleaner. The biggest downfall of switching for me is the difference in ceramides. Still undecided, but definitely curious and will likely give the LRP a go.

    • @GiovannaWiseley
      @GiovannaWiseley  3 роки тому +1

      The Cera Ve definitely has the upper hand with the blend of ceramides, aminos and hyaluronic acid but LRPS is definitely worth the try! :)

    • @sobakakustovsky3909
      @sobakakustovsky3909 Рік тому

      I think think that the skin can't absorb ceramides from a cleanser. 99% is washed off. The most important part is the choice of surfactants.

    But that feeling of product still remaining on your skin is probably done on purpose and necessary so that the ingredients like ceramides can remain on your skin and do their thing. And one should follow up with a moisturizer anyway which mean you will still have something on your face. 😂

    • @jayeshaw5705
      @jayeshaw5705 Рік тому

      i disagree because there other ingredients in Cerave's formulation that shouldn't remain on the skin. If is left behind it could cause irritation.
