I have always found Nomad lifepath as the most rewarding overall. Intro isn't pessimistic, side quest doesn't end as failure, you can get nice rewards in Act 2 (upgraded bike and additional gift from Militech), blends well with Aldecaldos and Panam questlines.
I believe his prior nomad clan gets completely destroyed when the game starts 😅 but I agree it’s a cool path. I also like the idea of a corpo V that becomes a nomad. Yet no matter the path, in any playthrough, Adam Smasher gets dildo to his head
Completely valid, to me Streetkid lifepath makes the most sense to me. I just think it fits the best with the story overall, a streetkid wanting to become a legend but now is gonna die soon after getting screwed by a shit fixer. Plus I feel like the kinda dynamic V and Panam has, V knows more about Night City while Panam knows a bunch from traveling all over
The Nomad path is underrated, it may have the least amount od story relevance but I like the dynamic of a country bumpkin navigating through a dystopian Metropolis.
The final chat between Meredith and V here _really_ suggested that he'd work with her in future. It would have made a lot of sense if there was a unique fixer in each lifepath, and Meredith could have been it in the Nomad path. Oh well, at least we got that final freaky encounter. The Nomad Lifepath was my first playthrough of the game, and it's still my favourite.
'Oh well' describes it pretty good... I did expect a side quest line there and was kinda underwhelmed after the No Tell motel. Was a bit wasted potential imo
@@stahlschorsch In fairness it was probably cut in the end if there was anything planned, I don't think the devs really expected people to be that invested into Meredith but if it means potentially meeting her or finding a reference about her in Orion, I'd be down for that.

The Nomad life path is the perfect choice for new players who have never played the game. You start as an outsider who has never been to the city and you're introduced to every character as though it was for the first time. The Streetkid is good for those who want to dive deep into Night City lore for both the good and the bad. It feels like the most neutral of the choices. The Corpo path is all about the dark side of Night City where corpos commit mass murder, jealous business suits plot assassinations on each other and hire their underlings to do the dirty work. If you want a path that compliments an evil play through, this one fits the bill. However, I did find playing as a pacifist/goodie two-shoes in a corpo run to be quite satisfying as well, especially if you play as a female V who romances Judy and gets the Star ending.
I picked Nomad my first playthrough for very much that reason. I also liked how it gave you an open area in which you can try out and practice the game's driving mechanics. The other routes, you don't get a car until you're inside the city where you have to worry about bouncing off other cars, running over people and getting the cops called on you. All in all, Nomad is a great choice for beginners.
@ militech gear, its militech crate so u get stuff like militech cosmetic items and (probably) weapons, i think its a randomly spawned reward each time
@@jairesemccoy9779 Corpo is honestly my favorite for the fact that everything comes full circle. You work in the Corporation only to get kicked out, become a Street Kid through mercenary work, and then a Nomad depending on the ending you choose.
I loved playing the nomad lifepath. Being a badass that left your family and went solo on your own is more fitting to character like V. Also finding a new family and lover like Panam makes it worth it choom

Nomad V can also bring it up to anthony gilchrist if you go against militech and you will still get the crate, however you get different dialogue with gilchrist
I still wish there was a playthrough pathline that could have opened up through militech. Maybe with gilchrest or stout depending on who lives aiming to help you if you keep giving them arasaka intel since you're obviously highly involved to the point that you are. After the hanako meet you could contact militech who'd op for you to go with her just to perform sabotage and steal the data for themselves or perform a black ops mission with a post retired blackhand who they blackmail to come out of hiding to help you since there's some cues in game indicating he's still around in the news. Dunno, just wanted something more corpo involved and seeing as the corpo ending takes forever for you to establish corpo connections with arasaka, maybe having early ties and alternative connection to militech instead would've been a nice alternative.

I've always said this: If you're playing 2077 for the VERY FIRST TIME Nomad V, is always best. For me... Nomad>Corpo>>Street Kid Corpo V is damn good, not far off from Nomad. Just feel like Nomad always has a bit extra going on as far as content. Only reason it doesn't fully win out over Corpo for me is I really like the Apparition you get from Jenkins, and the whole Corpo V, rags-to-ritches, back-to rags story of an Arasaka corporate rat finding freedom in a nomad clan(if you go that route). Or even as a full on, revenge, just storming Arasaka story. It's Compelling. Also, Corpo is my personal favorite even though I think nomad is better, because you get so much corporate insight, and it's useful. Both feel more useful, and more fleshed out than street kid, but Nomad just feels like more considering how much time you spend with nomads, or doing shit out in the boonies, and since technical ability is so good and ran by everyone these days, it lines up well with that background. Most unique start, tuned arch, fantastic car(galena), more in common with Panama and her family, this... Anyway, the only thing I love about Street Kid is starting in Heywood for the car ride with Padré. That being said,
nomad path seemed to make the most sense...I knew nothing of night city on my first playthrough so Corpo and street kid seemed like it was for someone already more familiar with Night City...Then I met Panam and I've been Nomad every time just for all the special dialogue you get with her and her crew

I have some playthroughs and i ALWAYS choose Male NOMAD. ITS LIKE MANDATORY 😂
I chose male corpo
Is the reward the special "weapon" V obtained? 😄
rewarding indeed... later on
The gave us a street kid romance and a nomad romance they shoulda let us romance Meredith
Nah, ironically enough Corpo is definitely the best path
For me...
Nomad>Corpo>>Street Kid
Corpo V is damn good, not far off from Nomad. That being said,
My V pounded the shit out of stout, male and female play throughs. One of my favorite points in the game to save. hehe
nomad path seemed to make the most sense...I knew nothing of night city on my first playthrough so Corpo and street kid seemed like it was for someone already more familiar with Night City...Then I met Panam and I've been Nomad every time just for all the special dialogue you get with her and her crew
Nomad is closest to who am i am irl so its my default
Nah, this is just a better way storywise to let you eventually bang Meridith 😆Overall, both Nomad and Streetkid path makes more sense, but the Corpo path is still superior IMO
😎😎😎
Does this interaction mean she doesnt die?
I like nomad because it appeals to me. I've always been a wildlands rat
Put 300 hours into this game already and I didn't even know about this...
