My grocery store has these for ALMOST retail and they just keep sitting there. I’ve tried to spread the love and let people buy some but they are there day after day. So now I own three. It’s a buying problem, not a drinking problem dammit. Tasty stuff.
Excellent review Jason. I reviewed this one a couple weeks ago on my channel and got some similar notes. It’s fantastic it will definitely be in the running for my top 10 of 2022
Saw this in a local liquor store in Woodstock, GA this afternoon. Bought the batch 21-8 Maker’s Mark Cask Strength for $39.99. They had the Woodford Reserve 118.4. I wasn’t familiar but liked the proof. Their price was $449; too much for me. Glad you had this video. 😂
Saw this on all the top 2022 end of the year bourbon lists. Happened to be at a store checking out some bottles and saw this in the back of the cashier while I was paying. Literally screamed wait and grabbed this bottle. Just tried it. I agree with the review. Double oaked is my favorite but this is going down really really well. Looking forward to it opening up in the upcoming weeks.
This one is definitely in my top 10 of the year! I was shocked how much I like it. I’m going to do a side by side with the latest Birthday Bourbon in my review. Great review as always!

I was pleasantly shocked to see a few bottles of this behind the locked glass cabinet of a local liquor store this morning. I gladly paid $150 to grab one, and I just tried it. Woodford Reserve Double-Oaked is my favorite bourbon, so I knew I wouldn't hate this one. I like it very much - especially with some water added, to proof it down to around 100. I can't really justify paying $150 for a second bottle, but for $100, I probably would.

Blackberry is one of my favorite tasting notes. In my experience, quite rare.
My wife and I were just at the distillery 6/20. I was able to purchase a pour of Batch Proof 119.8. I thought it was fantastic
After letting that one sit for a good 6 months it got so, so good.
"Yeah , I just don't like this one, very much !" Kidding. Lol
I really enjoyed last years batch! Definitely gonna try and grab this one as well if I get lucky enough to find it at retail. Great review as always!! Cheers

The notes are right up my alley, hopefully I’ll be seeing this in socal soonish, so we can do a review on the channel. I enjoyed the nose on the calumet 16, I’m just hoping another week opens it up a little bit more for me on the palate. Cheers 🥃
Thank you for the review. I was offered a chance to purchase last year's release twice in 2021 and passed both times as the offer price was over $225. I hope to find a 2022 release at under $150.

Curious? Are you near any Costco warehouses? Asking because every year we get the batch proofs from woodford reserve. I bought a bottle this week for $104.99. And two weeks ago I bought Old forester Birthday bourbon for $109.99. Costco is secretly cheap when it comes to bourbon. Thought I would share since sometimes these retail and secondary prices can get crazy! Thanks again for your great videos

Picked up one of those today. It’s usually way marked up but this was specs so retail. Also got a calumet small batch in a new bottle that says it’s a blend or 15 and 8 yo bourbons.
Almost grabbed today...will go back...grabbed a bookers Bardstown batch from last year for msrp....hope its good....new i shoulda went with batchproof

Just picked this up through a bourbon raffle so I was able to buy it at retail. Great whiskey
Never been a Woodford fan (other than the caramel icing Double Double), but I did score two of these bottles...LOVE it! I get a cola syrup note, similar to Old Carter Bourbon Batch 9, though I thought Woodford was really a better ride.
I've also had Calumet 16...meh. This is a WAY better bottle. I'll def be including this in my future bourbon scours...

I found the 2019 last summer and really enjoy it, but haven't seen any batch since. I'm hoping to find this during our summer travels, but since we're in vacation spots I'm betting it'll be marked up well above what's reasonable to pay.

Usually kinda available in my local stores for about $180. I’ll pick one up next time I see one.
Plus that 115 to 120 proof range seems to be the sweet spot for me personally. I’ll let you proof hounds chase the hazmat stuff.
I really enjoy this whiskey. Always glad to get another opinion. I just wish the bottle had more whiskey in it.

Quick question for you, I’m searching for a special bottle to give my future son-in-law, while he enjoys both bourbon and straight ryes, a favorite choice of his is Pikesville. That said, would greatly appreciate any recommendations that would be an upgrade from Pikesville, but somewhat readily available. I’d like to stay within a $200-$300 range. Thanks, and cheers!

I grabbed one of these today and totally disagree on the Calulmet 16 (though I otherwise agree on the Woodford- loved it), for me the C16 is cherry medicine and not great.
Def pick this up if I see it!

I just don't understand how or why they price this bourbon so damn high. If you can buy ECBP for seventy dollars there's no reason for this bourbon to carry such a heavy price tag.
That is the reason I have zero interest in this bottle. KC SiB and Rare Breed at $50ish. ECBP at $70. I'm taking the standard version of those three over standard Woodford every time. Not sure how/why the Woodford scales up so much compared to the other big boys.

@@leeknowlton7303 nice there’s much more better options for much lesser money in my opinion. There’s no age statement as well. Though I do respect there craftsmanship. I’ll settle for rare bread or Elijah Craig barrel proof for half the cost of this 👍🏼
