Very nice info. Thanks. You know the body is also very good at burning fat? If you fast long enough, your body will no longer have a food source to get energy from. So you will enter ketosis, which is where the body starts to burn fat into energy. If you fast even longer, around the 24 hour mark autophagy will start taking affect. This is an excellent system which recycles old and damaged proteins. Since your skin is protein, it will tighten up loose skin because loose skin consists of old and damaged protein cells. Also it promotes the production of collagen, which is what helps keep your skin stretchy, and able to tighten up. Not to mention autophagy has other benefits like anti-aging, and it also recycles the protein in your brain that causes alzheimer's disease. Your life extends when you fast, because eating food causes your cells to divide. I don't know the exact process that happens, but i can say that food is partly responsible for cell division. So fasting will slow down the division of your cells, which is what causes the anti-aging. Fasting for up to 2 days can make your mind clear, and some people say it's euphoric. It's proven that once you have fasted long enough, your body will be performing at it's peak, because it will be in a hunter's state. This is what hunters experienced when they go out searching for food for days. This helped them keep aware during the hunt, and improve their reflexes. It also improves memory formation, so fasting for a while, when a test is coming up might be a good idea. Once you have fasted for 3 days, your body will have used up most of it's white blood cells. Once you refeed, your body regenerates a stronger immune system. I wouldn't recommend fasting for longer than 4 days, because if you don't eat on day 5, you are at low risk of getting refeeding syndrome. Unlike what many people believe, your body does not burn up muscle when you fast. The most it does is cause some muscle atrophy if you fast longer than 3 days. That muscle can easily be gained back through exercise or eating protein. The most i've done is 4 days, only drinking water. I refeed with a healthy meal of mainly meat and vegetables, with little to no carbs. My routine is no food from tuesday to thursday. Then i eat one healthy meal a day, from friday to monday. I make sure to keep the calorie count low, and my nutrition high, as to prevent refeeding syndrome. Eating one healthy meal is enough to provide me with all the vitamins and minerals i need. I just need to make sure i have everything, in one meal. Hope you learnt something from this, and i wish you a good day :).

I’d love to see a video on what happens to fat cells when you gain weight and when you lose weight. My understanding is your fat cells get larger and multiply when gaining weight, but only get smaller when you lose weight. They don’t go away. Cells want to get to their normal size. Hence the roller coaster and inability to keep it off.

    • @mateabd.Beauties.and.theBeast

Actually, there are two periods in life when your fat cells are multiplaying: in first 9-12 months and in the prepuberty/puberty.
And after that number stays forever.
What do change is amount of fat in particular fat cell. And this can go up and down.

During liposuction part of lipid tissue is 'sucked' out with negative pressure suction system.
      This is operation.
Surgeons use this 'suction system' instead if surgical knife.
In that way they remove big part of fatty tissue. But, without changing life stile (less input, more output of calories) efects are temporary.
Because that cells which remain can store more and more lipids. And in time they get bigger and bigger....

You've mentioned that women gain more weight, one of the reasons being to nurse child(ren), and that it is easier to gain rather than lose weight. How does this apply or change throughout a woman's lifespan - e.g. biologically child bearing ages vs non-child bearing years? And does this apply as a general rule for all female regardless of their child bearing situation, because that's just an evolutionary mechanism?

    • @exosproudmamabear558
      @exosproudmamabear558 2 роки тому +2

Doesnt matter really estrogen(child bearing years) indeed makes it easier to stock fat tissue but as you get older your thyroid hormones and metabolism decrease which means in either way your ability to gain weight do go behind males since their basal metabolism are higher than women even in old age. If you never have estrogen in the first place lets say you have Turner syndrome(XO) which do not have fertility, menstruation ,estrogen etc. but they also do not have testeron and considered female. Their metobalism would be same as women but due to lack of estrogen they wouldnt stock up extra fat tissue

Watching the videos on this channel made me less judgemental of other people. I see them for what they are, animals. Look more into the keto diet and make some permanent changes to what you eat. Me? I don't consume regular sugar anymore......but Instead I get allulose. It's basically the same molecular make up except that your body basically doesn't know know how to use it and you just.....put it out hours later.
Started in the summer at 250lbs. Thanksgiving, I LOST a pound or two while breaking the diet a bit (it's a marathon....not a sprint.) And as of Feb 11th, I'm 209lbs.
....and I sit all day and have to work from home.
I break my diet very seldom.....but I do it to not make my diet a chore.......it will be a cold day in hell before I go back to my diet pre summer.
Do some research to see if keto is right for you.

The reason people say visceral fat is bad is because of its association with cardiovascular disease and diabetes, while subcutaneous doesn't seem to be as bad. I have been to many doctors, they have done tests and I have been told that I am both physically and emotionally healthy but have even been put on anti-depression pills for in case and have received psychological help. It didn't help at all. I have not been diagnosed with any eating disorders, anorexia, etc. I have also been cleared for the possibility of infections that can affect my appetite. I genuinely want to know why I have trouble eating. I never really cared too much about what I look like so it's not like I actually subconsciously avoid gaining weight, in fact I would actually want to have a bit more body fat because it will make me more confident as I am very small currently.
