Hey, is it possible to get a look of the correct way to install the bracket/ cable end on the bail bar? 😂 Mine doesn't seem quite right. I'm usually pretty handy, just replaced the transmission in my Mazda but can't work this out 😅
I have a Snapper that was made around 2010. It works great and they fixed those problems. But it is disgraceful that B&S did this crap! Tecumseh wouldn’t have done this. But they were run out of business.
Snapper Imagineer mounts engine on prototype...Look boss we have a problem, the starter rope will pull on an almost 90 degree angle.. Boss says... AH no one will notice. :)
@@breakerbroke23 I like the term! These “engineers” many times are morons. My dad graduated from Licking High School back in the 40’s. No college at all. He was a maintenance carpenter for Hussmann Refrigeration for decades. One day he got blueprints from an “engineer” for a blockhouse inside the factory in St. Louis. He gave them back and told them he couldn’t build it that way. The engineer said “I’m the expert! Who are YOU to question my blueprints!” My dad said “Because you should know that a 2X4 isn’t 2” by 4”!”
I did the same starter rope replacement on my 2005 Law Boy mower with the venerable Honda GCV160 engine and a blade brake clutch. That OEM rope lasted 17 seasons...but it didn't have to make all the twists and turns as this Snapper did. Sheesh. Was that a flathead B&S engine?
Flathead all the way. Like I said in the livestream, I can't believe Snapper would order and install engines knowing this would be an issue. Ah yes.... Imagineers

Try to find a Snapper exploded diagram. I sent this mower back to its owner so I cant be much help..
