E.W. Barker, A statesman, sportsman, scholar | On The Shoulders Of Giants

Mr E.W. Barker was one of our founding leaders. He drafted the founding documents of modern Singapore & helmed five different ministries, including as our first and longest serving Law Minister.
A natural sportsman, he excelled in every sport he played. He is best loved for his contributions to developing Singapore’s sports scene - building our National Stadium and as President of the Singapore National Olympic Council.
His larger than life character was not defined by the public offices he held. He "never referred to himself as an Eurasian Minister" - he was a Singaporean first.

omg is 10 days ago while reading about singapore history and the independance and E.W barker is all rounded man and i believe strongly should be a co-founder of our singapore country, sadly we do not have anyone who can succeed or challenge today politician like E.W barker or if they do have one, it is probably maliciously done out of their power to isolate he/her from challenging, as today politician, i strongly feel we need someone like E.W barker who he shared to remind all parliament or politician in singapore "they must speak their minds, they must let their conscience guide them"
