Very knowledgeable and the personality shines! Love the content I’m also in the fish hobby, you should get a bigger tank and try something out of the box. I had nano tanks and now I have a 175 gallon
Hello! Thank you for this video! I'm in the UK and I love watching your videos I have recently got into keeping fish and i never would have imagined how addicting this hobby actually is. So far i have 4 guppies and 6 neon tetras in quite a big tank and I have been looking at what I can fill this tank up with and I am so taken by Angelfish. I'm looking at picking a couple up this Saturday and i would like to double check with you if they will be okay with my current Tank Mates before I buy them.
Buyer be ware: Angel Fish are adorable when they are little. Great community fish at that time. Once they get big, they will devour all of the smaller fish. Your Ember, Cardinal, and Neon Tetras will be gone. Angel fish are not angels when they are big. Territorial Fish that will chase other fish away in your aquarium. Please be aware that some fish are adorable when they are young. Angel fish are beautiful fish, but will eat your nano fish. Don’t believe me, then go ahead and buy some! Angel fish are only community fish when they are small. Once they get big, they become territorial and will eat your smaller fish. You’ve been warned!
I just got a 55 gallon I had my 1 angelfish in a 20 gallon and it was so shy im wanting to do a fish in cycle maby I just set it up and its like 1 am so mabh tomorow but how do inmake my koi angel not so shy and im wanting to get more for my 55 how many should I get
Would it be ok if i get two angelfish for a 100 Liter or in a 150 liter fish tank? Would it be possible to put one bristelnose pleco and 10 black tetras In one of the tanks?
I have 2 angelfish and the problem is that they keep on going after my pearl gourami. They constantly keep nipping there tails, fins and face. They chase of my neon's but that minor. They are just really aggressive and I have tried putting cucumber in but it doesn't help reduce the aggression. They are the most dominant in the community tank but they are super territorial even though there are two of them and other types of fish. The tank is 260 gallons and I can't understand why they are doing this supposing they are community fish. When I first got them, they were passive. Please respond.
Okay what I think is happening, is that they might be starting to breed. They get very aggressive during breeding and will do a lot of what you’re describing. Maybe seperate the angels into a seperate tank?
@@drakefan1132 not only does it sound like some breeding maybe about to occur but you also have to remember. Angel's are apart of the cichlids family. And sometimes they can be A hole's just for the hell of it 🤷♂️
KeepingFishSimple thank you! I’ve been out of the hobby for 13 years. I figured they’d be fine. However, I haven’t kept Angel Fish before. I’m looking to get back into the hobby. Previously I mostly kept guppies and other live bearers as well. You totally sold me on Angel Fish!
I’ve heard that a full grown angel fish will swallow a neon whole 😬 I want angels but as long as my neons and pygmy corys are still kicking I haven’t wanted to risk it
Hey, I'm sorry to hear you suffer from color blindness. Have you been able to try those new color enhancing glasses? I hear they do provide some improved color discrimination for the two most common forms of color blindness.
Honestly, I've had angelfish and the last pair I had, the male just ended up killing the female. He was an ok community fish but they're relatively good community fish but you don't get the extremely aggressive ones that will eat any fish that fits in their mouth.

Didnt think I'd hear "It is absolutely amazing" and "making babies" in the same sentance on an aquarium channel.
Haha!
I really enjoyed your video on Angel Fish!
Would smaller tetras such as neons and cardinals or black neons work well with Angel Fish?
They should be fine :)
