Just wanted to say a huge thank you. I've been dealing with an eye infection ( not serious just incredibly annoying and uncomfortable); your VODs have gotten me through a 48 hour period where I basically couldn't use my eyes. Thank you, kind sir, for helping me keep my sanity.
What if instead of unfounded cynicism we supported our fellow AA lover This sounds absolutely terrible, glad to hear it's not serious and finished I hope!
@@CosyMatt I had a clogged pore in my left eyelid. This kind of thing usually comes from dry eyes + allergy season. It can cause the sudden sensation of stabbing pain, usually while you sleep. This time was bad I had throbbing pain whenever I blinked my eyes for 2 days after. I had to keep my eyes shut for about 48 hours, except for short, peek a boo looks, where I would brace myself to, say, load a VOD on my phone. Also, had to keep both eyes still, as the movement would irritate the lid ( you move both eyes in tandem ). Long boring explanation ended.
My dad used to sow clover in between winter and summer crops. I think it has to do with ground fertility & crop rotation. Also used as food for our rabbits :)
Clover is a nitrogen fixer (symbiotic bacteria in the roots do the work) and it releases this nutrient into the soil throughout its life. You don't have to kill it to release it, and doing so will stop further nitrogen fixation as the symbiotic bacteria will die. @@ratecyan
Clover is a flower! It's also naturally sweet, so grazing animals love it - to the point where they can get tooth decay from eating too much. Bees love it too, so if this game has beekeeping it might boost that!
I love how at the start of these types of videos you give us a view of what a few hours in looks like and then start a brand new map after your intro. Also I hope someday the stars align and I can catch your streaming some time!
AA is my favorite gaming channel. You're so chill, but fun and educational. You could literally turn this into a podcast format and I'd still listen. Like literally just listen to you game. I just love your channel that much man.
Earlier today I was thinking about how awesome it would be if you did some Farthest Frontier. It's brutal, unforgiving, and you can't help but laugh at some of the ways your town inevitably dies. Definitely hyped to see more!

1:10:38 Here we witness the antithesis to Torsolo, Torsono. Also earlier that first animal attack the guy involved almost dies and goes inside to chop wood lmao
Really? Sir, your lighthearted approach to videos and the lighthearted theme of Tropico seem like they were made for each other. It seems like content that writes itself. In my head right now, I swear I can hear your lets-play of Tropico.
It was really hard to look at all that months worth of fish spoiling while the fish population was destroyed by overfishing. (No hate by the way. Besides that it was very relaxing to watch ;)
Daddest Frontier. That's why we don't use "Dadder" anymore, it's archaic, like in Tolkien, so we just use further for both a figurative as well as literal distance as a comparative or superlative.
1:19:22 You could have learned it from watching Fight Club, assuming you watched it which I believe you mentioned in another video. They talk about it when they are getting all of the fat to start the soap company.
I never new you could move the berry bushes, I am floored having learned this lol. Also if you ever get the chance to try out the Dungeon Keeper series I would love to see a play through of those! I think you might enjoy it if you’ve never played them before.
Just judging from other games like this, but you might want to watch how far apart you build things, and you peeps can spend a lot of time running back and forth from work to storage (like your hunter). That would be the main benefit, I'd think, to moving berries, and making the trees in your orchard close together. Seems like you might have needed another well out at the end of the main street for those houses. And, yes, it's apiary like ape. What I don't get is that your wood seems to have two sub-resources, planks and firewood. Is there a way to balance what is turned into what? Is that just based on the number of people allocated? It would be nice to be able to say, split this 40% firewood and 60% planks.
The nice thing is that you can reposition everything except the town hall, farms, and (I think) walls - and it's free-of-charge! So placement is definitely vital, but at least you can adjust things somewhat to maximize efficiency or other metrics you want. Recently moved my entire industrial center to better segregate it from what I wanted to be residential (gotta pump that desirability!)
@@Izithel Oh snap, thanks! The terrain that helped protect me in early-town worked against me as my town grew - forcing it to extend far to the east, and leaving my hall close to what's now the western walls. So I've been very sad at my early decision. ...provided I can survive the 98-man army that insists on arriving this summer and trying to ransom my safety (12k gold to not attack?! Ahh the pain of success), I'll definitely move my town hall!
Perhaps check out Songs of Syx? Not even necessarily for a video, just for yourself. Kind of a diet dwarf fortress with some bannerlord-style army mechanics, but overall very early access and only being made by one guy I believe
It is! Which also means you've got some wonderful devs behind this game. Over on their forums, they're already asking people how they use different resources, so they can make more interesting, useful, and relevant Tier 5 buildings.
@らてちゃん Great game! Recently began a new playthrough with some buddies. Warden/Purifier/Saboteur run. Trying to avoid class overlap so the loot can flow more freely.
okay Ambiguous, seems like farming in this is pretty close to rl farming. maybe as an easy set up on a field you could go (clover - root veg - beans/peas) and play around from there because rl farmers use cover/legumes to put nitrogen back in the soil for the root veg but yeah hope this helps?
If you want to get back into Battle for middle earth you should look up the Age of the Ring mod, super cool with updated graphics and many many other changes :D
As someone who's got 90 hours into the public alpha, I'll say the vast majority of bugs are inconsequential. They've been quick to stomp on the biggest bugs. The devs are a small indie studio that's genuinely responsive and caring for their community (their last game got 4 years of free content updates with only a few paid things) so are worth supporting. But... if you don't want bugs, it's always better to wait until after early access.
Hey wait, this is odd, what the... AA playing FF, is this? It's like... having a cask of amontillado with a side of what the AF... but without the deep dark and damp cellars built with the bones of remnants past. It''s something fresh and new and I think I like it
