the comics are not canon for the most part. Arkham Knight kills Bane in the comics but he's alive in a story in the game proper, having gone clean and returned to Santa Prisca, decapitating all of mob bosses there and lining their heads on a beach as he takes power.
even if they were, i don't consider suicide squad to be canon at all either, especially since nothing to do with it from any sense leads to it being a follow-up to the arkham games, with all the retcons and the tonal dissonance

I’d rather say thrown away by Warner bros. Rocksteady just needed to make what they wanted or else they couldn’t make anything at all is what my headcanon is. They made great games before, the last with pretty bad boss fights but that’s excusable to a point. IMO I think Warner bros just wanted some live service slip and fast. I think WB is stupid enough that they would trust them again for another stupid game like that. It was just payday for them. Just a slop comment.

I swear the writers of Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League are just determined to stop any chance of the Arkham universe’s timeline continuing beyond this point. Why would they want to kill off the characters they could potentially bring back in future stories?

You would hope it would be to use other lesser utilized villains…but so far with SSKTJL they’re just make shitty alternate universe characters so…
Still hoping we get some kind of “Beyond Arkham” with some of Terry McGinnis rogues gallery, or his gallery with (Damien Wayne as the main character), which would make sense to remove some of the older villains from the playing field but who knows if will ever get some like that

And clayface too is pretty much immortal if even the tiniest piece was spared hes fine so i can see the pit not fully putting him down hes lowkey horryifying and in arkham city he even used multiple bodies at once in the boss fight so clayface could have easily survived and maybe found more of the formula that made him to regain his mass
I thought that after city, clayface was sorta petrified, he lies in a jar in gcpd unable to control his body but still alive, a fate worse than death!

Wait a minute! I thought Arkham Knight revealed in a story that Clayface had been permanently affected by the Lazarus pit and couldn’t shape shift anymore leaving him as a pile of clay.
I know the Arkham comics have never been consistent with game canon, but still they could’ve tried doing some research.
(Then again I’ve always hated that outcome for Clayface so whatever.)

This comic shows so little of an understanding for Clayface’s abilities in the Arkham verse and just basic understanding of an immortal creature that can reform from any damage it takes. Why should we be okay with characters who dying in ways that make no sense that has no importance for being here? Should we be okay with Sandman dying to Batroc the Leaper by having his head being hit really hard?
With all the retcons and plot holes it’s 100% non canon to every sane person. Wb should just give up and make Origins 2 with wb Montreal at the helm since they respect the lore and characters

How did King Shark kill Clayface by biting him? Batman in Arkham City was chopping him up into bits of clay and he was still able to get up and fight, but when he gets bitten by King Shark he acts like his entire body is not made of clay.

The whole point of the SS was to be sent on very dangerous missions; they're expendible and could die at any moment. I hate how they kept giving the Suicide Squad plot armor in the game.

I always would’ve figured Clayface falling into a Lazarus Pit would somehow augment his abilities and make him more dangerous. Not weaken him. This is just very confusing to me. Clayface could have been presumed dead or alive after the events of City and no one would care either way since while the pit could do some unique weird stuff to him, it could just straight up compromise him to a permanent end. But to specifically choose to bring him back, confirming his survival, but THEN to kill him off in the comic? if it's to get publicity then it isn't working since I hear no one talking about these comics, let alone considering them canon after Suicide Squad, so I'm just genuinely baffled.
Clayface dying from being beheaded? That is another level of stupidity since Clayface survived being blown to pieces multiple times. But whatever, these authors will do everything to overrate suicide squad as much as possible no matter how absurd it will be.
I still feel like if Amanda Waller was smart she would’ve just unleashed all the super villains she could find to take on the justice league.
I understand quality over quantity, but how I see it is she would eventually get the best of the best from the prison anyway, so might as well throw a few meat shields in there as well. (Besides when the best you choose are three guys with guns and maybe you should reconsider what you consider to be the best?)
If she aimed for quality in the game she wouldn't have used the 4 she did.
Especially as she literally had all the psychic characters kill eachother, those would surely be the most useful

For some context in a prequel comic for Arkham knight, Arkham knight kills a ton of criminals and one of them was Bane but in the game it’s confirmed that he is alive

He was stabbed in the chest in his joker form, frozen, blown up blown up 4 times, stabbed in the head, sliced into ribbons then blown up *again* for the 5th time frozen from the inside 3 times, then sliced apart from the inside. This was all before he was dumped into the Lazarus pit and blown up again all in one fight that spanned mere minutes.

@@kendi5391 killer frost, Manchester black and cheeta would have made the team feel more balanced and to keep the only four players thing, they could have added a part where you choose you’re character and ones every player has a character selected there’s a cutscene we’re some Argus agents take the chosen members and the rest are taken back to their cells but for gameplay pourposes they show up in the cell that’s on the hall of justice so you can switch to them

Wow bro and I was wondering what happened to Clayface after the events of Arkham City but never appeared in Arkham Knight and this is what happens to him? Man he was such an iconic villain ever since I first heard of him In Lego Batman The Video Game from my childhood but seeing him getting killed off like that in the Arkhamverse was a huge disappointment cause buddy was like sandman almost not having any specific weaknesses other than getting his head bit off.

Hello it’s me again so I look this question up recently and it just bothers me but I finally got a answer
Clay face technically is immortal since he has literally no bones so you can crush him or break him since he literally a liquid mass so he’d reform himself even if split up one of the form will have a personality
He has no brain so telepathic assault is out of the question
And secondly he has no organs so suffocating him isn’t even possible no lungs or even a heart so shark biting his head off shouldn’t even kill him
And in some comic or Gotham knight yeah I know it not canon to Arkham but clay face has built up a resistance to cold temperatures which would normally be a game over for him but now it just either slows him down or just annoys him
And it seem that heating him up is the only solution similar to sandman though water will work but I don’t think it gonna do anything but add mass to him
And In animated series episode or so shocking him apprently can happen even though he’s a solid mass but he’s liquid which is a good conductor of electricity

I don’t think Clayface is dead, his whole thing is he can separate and recollect, just like when Batman cut him in half with a sword in Arkham city
If he wasn’t dead, he should be killing king shark by flooding his lungs with clay and wouldn’t have let Waller go. All shark did was bite some clay and the Sword slicing is way more effective because it came after hitting him with the freeze blast multiple times.
