Thank you! Exactly what I am trying to understand. I was so confused. I see individual licenses depending on how, where, and when I fly it

Thanks for this. Can you help clarify the situation where a neighbour or relative might ask to borrow the drone. Does the person borrowing the drone need an operator ID or alternative ID of their own? If not, who is legally liable if anything goes wrong when the drone in borrowed if the operator ID holder is not present? Would we have a situation in which even if a sub 250g drone is borrowed that the person who owns the drone who is the operator ID holder might still be liable even if he is not present if someone else borrows his mini drone?

Good question. Only the owner and person responsible for the drone has the operator ID and should be on the drone. The person flying the drone is the remote pilot and is responsible for the flight. That includes pre launch check for air worthiness and flying legally during the flight and adhere to Article 241. Hope that helps

Assuming you mean transfer pictures or videos from camcorder to a computer, use a usb cable to connect the two then the Sony will appear as an external drive & you can view and copy the files by right-clicking then 'copy to' or by dragging & dropping them to wherever you like.

I have a DJI air 3. Im in the uk with an Operators ID and flyer ID, I’m traveling to Spain next month and would like to fly there. I have just done the online training for a EASA flyer ID. My question is. DO I need to have another Operaters ID for Spain? Thanks in advance.

Have you done your A2cofc? If not you need to be 150m from people and places and the same applies in Europe. You can do the EU equivalent cheaply. On a side note if you join a club like FPVUK you can fly under Article 16 in parks.

Get the min 4. Otherwise you need A2cofc in UK and equivalent in other countries. So you go from 150m away from people to 50m. But mini 4 is small for travel and fly near people with no exams. But i love the Air 3, this is why I have both.

Technically yes, it does tell you online. I use a cheap dynamo I got on Amazon. FPVUK drone club do the correct size and are transparent background

Hello buddy, no, the operator ID is for you as the owner of drones. So attach your operator ID to all your drones. Even if other people fly them. Hope that explains it OK. Let me know if you need anything.

Hi, you don't need to. You need to attach the ID to the outside of the drone so it's visible.

Hi thanks for clearing that up, so it's my 8 year olds drone (dji mini 2 se), I understand that the adult That owns the drone who is supervising the child needs an operator ID - so do both me and my wife need a separate one as I won't always be there; I am out of the country for 4 months at a time?
Does the drone need to display both operator ID's?
Even though we don't need them, we all have Flyer ID's too

Hi, Just put the owners Operators ID on the drone. Just note my advice is my opinion and for information of any legal standing please contact the CAA. Thanks

I've just got the syma x31 - less than 250g - has a camera - can be operated by under 14yo's - its a toy.
I believe I don't need an operator or flyer ID, is this correct?

    • @SlipstreamCreativeAgency

I think because you have a camera then you do. It's cheap and easy anyway.
