Awesome job with this video. No offense to Kyle, but this guy is a no-nonsense water cannon of high quality and to-the-point information. Don't change your approach! 👌👍
They have figured it out. We’re on Gen2.2 now. You can tell by the seals on the doors I think. They re-engineered the entire car. They changed quite a bit underneath but it is ultimately a good thing. When you change the entire architecture of a car, you tend to run into early quality issues. That’s why Toyota never changes their vehicles 🤷♂️ Rivian’s got the agility to crack down on early issues like this. The R2 should really help the company let’s hope they learn their mistakes early. Their Ai models for “self service” are droppin soon in .47 🔥
Picking up my tri motor next Saturday. As a new customer I've actually never been panel gap worrisome now rattles oh man on an ev those are unbearable... ie. Leaving tesla because of it
Congrats on your new truck. My fear with Rivian is that they may not be here in 1-2 years based on their huge cash bleed. Also, no NACS yet. Almost pulled the trigger on one 2 years ago. Good luck on your new purchase.
@ don’t know about that I’m leasing 2… Picking up an R1T on 11/09/24 and picking up an R1S on 11/23/24… both are 2025 MY trimotor Worried about brand longevity? Stellantis about to go belly up
I agree !!! 100k 😮 ridiculous, it's not a full-size truck, so space inside isn't going to be great !!! To me, the gmc denali is amazing for space. But all these trucks are overpriced.
Prices are still really high and quality is just meh. I love the idea of the brand but not the execution. Service is also very spotty. And they cannot even make money at these prices. This brand is not going to make it. Sad to say, but they will fail. Bummer.
$97k is ludicrous!!! The scary part is that you were reviewing a very scrutinized press car and yet it still suffered from passenger door panel/fender panel interference and a door striker issue. This poor quality control is simply unacceptable on a $100k vehicle. I recently sold my 2022 R1T before it suffered from further depreciation. The panel fit on my October 2022 build was horrific. Every body panel on the passenger side looked like it was installed by Stevie Wonder. The front end clunked every time it went over a speed bump and the service center told me it was normal(?) The tipping point was the 3 month wait for a service appointment in my area. It was completely unacceptable for a premium priced vehicle.

Great work Coleton.
The R2 will have a clam shell hood. I wonder if that design will alleviate the hood alignment. Can't wait to get my R2.

Stellantis about to go belly up
@@wymy1412 I got mine a week ago and receive my NACS adapter today
The RFID signal is also present on other vehicles with wireless chargers (Mazda CX-90 PHEV)
So true re: the 2nd row seating being small in both R1T and R1S, Coleton! We've found the same!
Beautiful truck!
These wheels are slick.
This was great coalton👍🏻
I’m so glad my OCD doesn’t include worrying about panel gaps…
Ty Colton.
I want the R3 but only if they build a service center near FT Worth. No way I'm driving 2hr round trip into Dallas
Having owned an old Land Rover I always have to laugh at these videos 😂. But yes, for $100k it should be basically perfect
My 2025 R1T rattles like a 2 year old put it together. Can't even listen to my music loud because everything rattles louder.
Cool

What about the actual paint quality / paint thickness ? Maybe beacause it's clean and black, but looks like a lot of orange peel.
100k is easy a ford Raptor or dam TRX not sure if this stacks up
Those high efficiency wheels - blah.

Ct will kill this brand
And it hasn't happened
Can't buy a Rivian vehicle or its stock. Rivian is losing around $1.5 bill/qtr. Rivian headed for certain bankruptcy
$1.5B loss per quarter? That’s not right. The R2 is coming out, which should help akin to what the Model 3 did for Tesla’s profitability.
