My humble opinion from someone who has been 'overlanding' AKA camping with the wife and five kids for over 50 years (family and friends) is to go 'light and spritely' whenever you can. We started in a 1974 Mercury Bobcat (Ford offered a Pinto) with five kids and the roof rack piled 3-ft high with stuff. We made it; we enjoyed it; the kids caught fish and we ate an occasional celebretory fish, roasted hotdogs and marshmallows. They still remember those experiences. Now, as a grandfather and great-grandfather we STILL go camping and fishing . . .aka Overlanding! Still doing the tent camping thing to preserve the outdoor experience while cell phones and other electronic devices are surrendered to Grandpa's safekeeping for the evening campfire. We have a fleet of five Jeeps now as an extended family and NO ONE dares bring a camper or roof-top tent (although many own them). TRADITIONS and Family Forever. ❤
Fascinating vehicles for sure! Thanks Brad and Jordan, you guys really know how to spot the unique rigs at SEMA. Good to see Marco and his 392, man that thing has really come along. Now we need to see you two out on the trails again!
The On-X build vehicles were fun to watch being built . Robby Layton's Bread Van has so much y'all did see . Like the front bumper is hand made aluminum along with the back gate plus the inside for overlanding
Boy, does that bring back memories. When my dad was stationed in Fairbanks we PCS'd back to the states by driving a 1963 GMC carryall just like that from Fairbanks to Ft. Eustis, VA in one week...including down the ALCAN...in DECEMBER!!! Oh, and with 6 kids (one that was 2 months old in a bassinette). My dad built a huge topper out of plywood to carry all of our stuff.
I tow an Airstream Basecamp with my Jeep & my biggest gripe is that the outdoor light is only white; there’s no amber. If that Mopar light bar has an amber option, that could be a game changer for a lot of people.
man within the first 4 minutes my eyes were watering with how cool these trucks are just passing before my eyes, one after the other it reminded me of my last motorcycle show, back when I rode daily. the absolute feast for the eyes. and, like, that subtle funny tickling sensation - "damn, I thought I was REALLY REALLY into my hobby... there are people who are WAY. WAY WAY WAY far deeper in" XD
Brad, you are showing the best stuff in one video… great job! As a stock wheeling enthusiast, some of this stuff even made me interested. Thanks for the two door coverage… fuel will be your biggest issue if you build a 2 door.
The Expo One Bumpers looked nice. I think you are the first person I've seen visit their booth. I really liked their bumper on my FJ Cruiser, and while I've never owned one of their rear bumpers, the way they design the latches is fantastic. I've seen them in person and used them. Great products.
27:06 thanks for sharing my gladiator! Love the channel and have been a long time follower! Unfortunately my axles never showed up and it was supposed to have had 40’s on it on Fittipaldi 8 lug beadlocks. So it wasn’t as good as it was supposed to have been. But such is life haha! Look forward to your next video!
Normally, jeep people are almost impossible to conversate with because their interests don't bleed into other brands. Toyota people maybe a little bit the same way but not as bad. It is super annoying running into those individuals. Really nice seeing you seek out way cool stuff no matter what it was on, and then gave it kudos 👏. Well done man. Good show. Jolly good show! Thank you much.
32:41 Thanks for a great video. Regarding the large tires, remember, that larger the tire the better it is off road. However, the larger the tire the slower the top speed in tarmac. Large tires might look cool for guys with small privates, but far better are double diff lockers and a winch.
Thanks for the tour! Have a 2001 Pathfinder with 5-speed manual I just couldn't let go when I bought a Ridgeline. Would appreciate your suggestion on who offers 01-04' Pathfinder mods. Oh man! Loved Okinawa so much I extended an extra year. Could surf-check the island with a buddy in my Hi-Ace van, (4 speed on the column) for about $7.
Love the idea of that hammock arm, but it needs two adjustable bars in the middle perpindicular to the arm angled down a bit so you can attach a rain fly on top so you can actually camp in the hammock when its rainy. Which I have seen many off road trips rained on on YT, specially week long ones.
You always do a great Sema video!! Mopa, flat fenders, FINALLY!!! Would love to have the part number for those, not able to find on any Mopar parts site yet...... HELP!!!!
Number 1) you should buy your sons JK and build it up. Number 2) Love those flat fender flares jeep will now produce. Been looking for a set of flat ones to give more tire clearance that look OEM and these check that box. Hope inner flares come with them.
The 'Grasshopper' caught my attention! This is an exhibit by a Japanese company. The company name being written on the side of the canopy (共立工業株式会社=Kyoritsu Kogyo Kabushigaisha). The roundel design has the Japanese name for grasshopper, which is batta (飛蝗) . Apparently, this company according to their website has been exhibiting at SEMA for more than 50 years. They should really sell this canopy/camper unit for the kei truck here in Japan, although I suspect that it is heavier than 350kg which is the maximum permissible load for a kei truck (or kei trailer) here in Japan. A very nice and cool design!!
While front bars with no hoops look good, they offer no protection to the lights and front grill etc in the case of animal strike. I, too, love the classics. So awesome to see beautiful old vehicles lovingly restored.
Easy to imagine the commentary or a cartoon of a couple of bears 🐻 getting into that black plastic side mounted refrigerator..." These humans just make everything so convenient, munch 😋 crunch slurp, gulp, try not to wake them up."
That Carbon TJ looks like it has a LH diff version of a Nissan or Toyota axle. Landcruiser 250 bumpers- The ARB is definitely my favorite. After hitting a deer last year, no way would I go through the hassle and expense to install a front bumper that doesn't offer complete animal strike protection.
I voted for the gas can/traction board because of the dual use rule for hikers, campers, etc, plus the boards many don't really like, but hey; if it takes up no extra space? Genius!
Arb will be the best bumper choice you can make. They are airbag certified which is almost unheard of. I have owned three and currently have one on my 17 4Runner build. As far as the show getting smaller it’s because the the overland craze is on the decline, thank God. I have seen so many people on the trails with no experience and no effort to learn anything before going. I believe if this growth trend continues we won’t have any public trails left due to littering and general abuse.
No soft Tops on two door Jeeps, 68 - 70 did MP Patrol in two door Jeeps and all they had were leaky Canvas Soft Tops, No Roll Bar independent front suspension of which we rolled an average of one a Month doing Pursuits, flimsy steel canvas supports saved many lives, but not Collar Bones ! Ft. Riley, KS
27:48 As you, more or less, don’t have any kangaroo, moose, deer, or reindeer, why buy a bull bar that is made for them? In my opinion this is a favorite of what you’ve showed so far.
Heaven for 4×4s so beautiful. 65 chevy man leaves me speechless. Besides saying you guys did a great job on this video , Thank you !

Thanks for showing my truck! (Orange Toyota Tundra TRD Pro with an OVRLND Camper)
Fascinating vehicles for sure! Thanks Brad and Jordan, you guys really know how to spot the unique rigs at SEMA. Good to see Marco and his 392, man that thing has really come along. Now we need to see you two out on the trails again!
Thanks for the SEMA coverage Jordan and Brad!
It was fun to get to tag along with you at SEMA! Thank you Brad!
Great tour. I hope you and your son have a wonderful Veteran's Day! Thank you!
The On-X build vehicles were fun to watch being built . Robby Layton's Bread Van has so much y'all did see . Like the front bumper is hand made aluminum along with the back gate plus the inside for overlanding
Very nice video, thank you for sharing your experience at SEMA.
Love all the builds. I'm more impressed with how clean EVERY tire is. I could NEVER get the mud stains off my tires.
Most are brand new tires! My gladiator in this at 27 minutes (bug out overland build ) strict rules no usage of tires before SEMA.
Thanks for showing us all the cool vehicles. Great video as always. The new flat fenders are looking really good. Can't wait to get them.
When are they going to hit the market?
Boy, does that bring back memories. When my dad was stationed in Fairbanks we PCS'd back to the states by driving a 1963 GMC carryall just like that from Fairbanks to Ft. Great to see Marco!
Hope his daughter is doing well since her cancer diagnosis.
I look forward to your Sema coverage every year. Thanks for making great content.
All of us also miss the power wagon. I don't feel like its story arc was ever properly completed.
Best SEMA video of 2024
Most bull bars in South Africa are airbag compatible.
Great video Brad and Jordan. Hated that I missed you guys. I was there Friday, but still had the pleasure to meet Marco.
Went to SEMA pre-Covid & it was amazing! Thanks for the tour without the sore feet after. 😉
Next time do skates! 😂
Man OVS is killing it!!! Excited to see a lot of this show up as in stock soon
"other UA-camrs missed"🎯
Great video,tnx ❤
Thanks guys! Awesome video with some really cool vehicles!!
27:20 That 6x6 is Mike Patey's Jeep. I am surprised it ended up at SEMA with "bluetooth driveshaft's."
Thank U so much for sharing this amazing show ❤❤❤❤
The mopar booth, wow. The light bar is a great idea & I love those fenders... already trying to find them for purchase. :D
I thought the lightbar was pretty innovative and it was really great to see Jeep back as SEMA.
I tow an Airstream Basecamp with my Jeep & my biggest gripe is that the outdoor light is only white; there’s no amber. If that Mopar light bar has an amber option, that could be a game changer for a lot of people.
YES THANK YOU JEEP THE FLAT FENDERS 😃😃 i was literally fist pumping when you said they were official!!!
Omg thank you for specifically pointing this announcement out and for advocating for this to come to market. Seriously this is so awesome
I really like those fender flares. I’ve been looking for a nice set of flat fenders that look OEM and these check that box.
man within the first 4 minutes my eyes were watering with how cool these trucks are just passing before my eyes, one after the other

XD
Love the classics. I like what companies are doing with the Land Cruiser and I think you made the right choice picking it over a Grenadier.
The Commander's interior (4:00) looks like a tribute to the 69-70 Mopar Mod Top option. It'd been REALLY cool if they did the soft top as well.
Brad, you are showing the best stuff in one video… great job! As a stock wheeling enthusiast, some of this stuff even made me interested. Thanks for the two door coverage… fuel will be your biggest issue if you build a 2 door.
Thank you! Lots of ideas in my head about a 2 door, but that will be something down the road... still a lot on my current to do list.
Thanks for the look around Sema. Would love to see more on the OVS system you showed, also a long term review of your OVS topper.
Well done guys!!!
Wow. Love the clarity of your picture. My eyes are getting dim and I probably need a new prescription for my glasses but this just popped 😂❤
The Expo One Bumpers looked nice. I think you are the first person I've seen visit their booth. I really liked their bumper on my FJ Cruiser, and while I've never owned one of their rear bumpers, the way they design the latches is fantastic. I've seen them in person and used them. Great products.
Thank you for bringing this to the world.
You are welcome and thanks for watching.
27:06 thanks for sharing my gladiator! Love the channel and have been a long time follower! Always enjoy your SEMA walk arounds!
The OVS dual drawer fridge/freezer is super cool, as is the rack/side mounted fridge.
I'd love to know who makes side pod fridge
that desert offroad bumper is the best!! that thing is sleek and tight.
The video is crazy crisp... looks great. Do a video on the camera gear you use!
32:41
Thanks for a great video.

Large tires might look cool for guys with small privates, but far better are double diff lockers and a winch.
Brad and Jordan, surely I like the content. Good stuff.
Enjoyed the different take on SEMA builds. Side note- Hearing my name repeated so much made this feel like a very personal tour 😂
Thanks for the tour! Have a 2001 Pathfinder with 5-speed manual I just couldn't let go when I bought a Ridgeline. Would appreciate your suggestion on who offers 01-04' Pathfinder mods. Oh man! You always do a great Sema video!! Mopa, flat fenders, FINALLY!!! Would love to have the part number for those, not able to find on any Mopar parts site yet...... HELP!!!!
Thanks for the ride!
How do we find out about those JL fenders ?
Love the coverage guys. That new Patriot camper looks insane!
At $125K, it should be.
Those side fridges are awesome!
ARB really nailed the LandCruiser bar Brad, that what I would going too.
Enjoy my friend, hope to someday visit SEMA also. Have fun
10:49
Drawer fridges are smart thinking! ❤️
Brad, I was stationed in Okinawa for 2 years in the early 70s. I was at Torii Station, just a few clicks northwest of Kadena AB.
Right on, thanks for your service. I was at the Hospital my first tour and Camp Hansen my second.
Number 1) you should buy your sons JK and build it up.
Number 2) Love those flat fender flares jeep will now produce. Been looking for a set of flat ones to give more tire clearance that look OEM and these check that box. Hope inner flares come with them.
When are the Mopar performance flat fenders going to hit the market??!! I am very interested!!
I didn't get a date, but they said it coming
@@TrailRecon thank you for your reply, I appreciate it!
Would like an update video on the two yellow 2 doors! I just picked up a 2 dr jk myself and looking for inspiration

Came for the Daihatsu K-truck. Left for the lack of Daihatsu K-truck...
While front bars with no hoops look good, they offer no protection to the lights and front grill etc in the case of animal strike. I, too, love the classics. So awesome to see beautiful old vehicles lovingly restored.
Loved the fire truck!
Easy to imagine the commentary or a cartoon of a couple of bears 🐻 getting into that black plastic side mounted refrigerator..." These humans just make everything so convenient, munch 😋 crunch slurp, gulp, try not to wake them up."
I liked the ARB front bumper for the Land Cruiser with the with the fender protection 😊
Thanks for the content … hope to make it to SEMA some day. 👍🏻
nice cover of the Sema Show! very different from everything covered by other YTers
...durable... and innovation
Check out Dissent Off Road for Land Cruiser bumpers. Their stuff is super high quality and they trail test it before releasing to the public.
Who makes the cargo case refrigerator?? 11:50
I voted for the gas can/traction board because of the dual use rule for hikers, campers, etc, plus the boards many don't really like, but hey; if it takes up no extra space? Genius!
Who makes the refrigerator pods on at 11:13? Neat idea
The ARB bumper seems to wrap/integrate a little better.
Hi Guys,
you pointed out some wide metal Jeep fenders at 25:23. I couldn't make out the info board. Who is the manufacturer please.
Thanx.
Karl
I knew you were going to say the GMC . It was up there on my list too . I just would like it better in Blue and white . That's the color we had .
Welcome back Brad it's been a while!! Lol...
Arb will be the best bumper choice you can make. They are airbag certified which is almost unheard of. I have owned three and currently have one on my 17 4Runner build. First comment! Love the Quartermaster! 👍🏼
The bumper from Dissent would be my choice 👍
Hey Brad, yep pls go and do a two door build... Love em.
I hope Toyota builds the TRD Surf! The 80s 4Runner was my dream truck to own. I would definitely buy one if they build it! 🤙🏼🏄♂️
I think the ARB bumper looks the best
Who makes the swiveling light bar that's on the Jeep?
22:55 land cruiser and the Bronko @ 14:36 take some beating for style, practicality and every day drivers,
Wow, the tow truck car yeah, that is sweet👍👍
Great video
Dissent front bumper was cleanest looking with winch. The others looked good but heavy looking.
I really like the look of theirs the best.
Anyone know who makes that pivoting light bar?
what is the car in the back at 28:47?
Was hoping to get your opinion on the Ram RHO.
I can’t find any info for those Winbo products. Does anyone know how I can find them?
Great video!
Thank you!
Don’t need the waves but this Land Cruiser is the coolest thing imo. 24:20
It’s good that there are no European off-road RV ❤ you would get shamed of quality and performance 😮
Ft. Riley, KS
I'm into Land Cruisers. And, I too like stuff that's clean..🤫
Who is making those flat fenders?
And then there are the ones outside that go out every weekend and get used😎
27:48
As you, more or less, don’t have any kangaroo, moose, deer, or reindeer, why buy a bull bar that is made for them?
In my opinion this is a favorite of what you’ve showed so far.
Where can I get that mountable fridge?
I don't think it's for sale yet.... they didn't even have a name for it LOL!
Nice
