Anika Finegan thanks so much for watching ☺️
Great video, Jess! I had no idea how to do this. Now I definitely want to try! 😊
Thank you! I went down the DIY rabbit hole of research to figure this one out. It comes in handy when you can’t find the decals you really want. You can just make them yourself.
So cool. Not that I’ll ever make my own. Thanks for sharing. I love your videos.
Thanks so much! But at least now you know you can if you ever decide you want to 😉
@@FragaliciousNailsbyJess that’s so true. Another rabbit hole....😂
@@melissamorales3635 😂

You’re very welcome! So glad it was a help.
This is AWESOME!!! That decal maker is AMAZING!!
Thanks Jess! I usually see one or two in a batch of decals that I like and don’t want to have a bunch I won’t use. This is an awesome option.
Shelly A exactly! I can make what I want, how I want and as many as I want. Let me know if you make any! I am excited to see!
This is so COOL!!!!! Thank you so much for figuring this out and sharing it!!!!
LoveGiblet2009 it’s my pleasure!
@@FragaliciousNailsbyJess Do you know of a free app that does this? the Bazaart app is $47.99/year and offers only a 7-day free trial.
LoveGiblet2009 really? That’s odd. I am definitely not paying anything. You could try Magic Eraser or Background Eraser. Pretty sure both are free. Sorry about that.
Hi hun new subbie here I have just discovered with the stamping method with water decal and love it thanks for sharing 👍
Welcome! Thanks so much for being here. So glad you found it helpful.
Omg thank you so much! Great idea
Thank You very much for your information. It is very helpful. I will try to make my own information. Could you give us a more or less size of the decal for the nails. I am always wearing Stilettos.
Thanks again.❤
Your the bbbbbbbbest i will be making some today
Awesome!! Let me know how they turn out!
VERY Cool !! Thanks for sharing !
WOW! This is so awesome! Thanks so much for sharing!!!!
Oddly I am just now getting notifications for some comment that were made months ago. Thanks so much for watching. So sorry for my delay on responding.
Game Changer !!!! YAY
Michelle Benny-Sonnenreich right!?!? When I learned how simple it was, I was like LET’S GO!! You get decals and you get decals! 😂
I love the purple flowers!!
gsunflower124 haha! I thought you might 😉
Thank you for showing us!!
Staci Mae it’s my pleasure. I love doing this stuff!
is the sticky base coat a must? and can they dry for longer than over night?
This is fantastic! Thank you!!
Thank you soooo much for this Jess!!!
I do not know why I just got this notification, but thank you so much for watching Renee!
@@FragaliciousNailsbyJess always doll! 😘
So helpful! Thankyou 😍
What size are these?! Perfect size!
Thanks so much for your video! I've tried making my own waterslides but the problem I'm having is the image is semi translucent. Any tips how to fix this ?
Hmm, I’m not sure. It could be your printer. Or you did not use enough of the enamel to seal in the image, so when you put them in the water, the ink dissolves a bit. I make sure to do 3-4 coats and turn the paper in all directions while spraying so it had good even coverage.
@@FragaliciousNailsbyJess Thanks for the speedy reply! I put 4 coats, to the point of the decal was too thick to lay nicely 😂 I’ll keep playing around with it, I appreciate your feedback ❤️
@@sweetbri27 hmm… I do 4 too, but spray 2 vertical and 2 horizontal. Not sure if that makes a difference or not. It may be your printer or ink.
Thats great. Thank you Much 💜
FYI, Marla sent me. I've not done the water stamping decals because I've never seen any decals that spoke to me. Well, what to do you know, it's possible to find them and do it myself. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks so much for watching. Now that you know... the world is your decal oyster. Have fun with it!
Jess! So cool! Love that you’re doing your own decals. Thanks for tutorial. Might have to give it a try! When you say “sticky base coat”, what would that be?
Amy Marxer you can get it from Maniology. I forgot to include the link in the description. I will add it when I get home from work.
FragaliciousNails byJess No worries. I have the link. Unless you get credit for the sale. In that case, I’ll wait for your link. Thank you!!!!
Amy Marxer actually I added the link in the description box. It’s just a base coat that dries tacky. It’s great for decals and reverse stamping.
FragaliciousNails byJess 👍🏻❤️❤️
Amy Marxer if you use my code I would it’s fragalicious10 😉
Hey there! Thank you for your video 😊
Can we use a normal printer?
Yes, you can. I used an inkjet printer. You can also use a laser printer, just be sure to buy the correct paper for whichever printer you have.
thanks thats cool
I found hamsa hands on Nashly Nails and they're gorgeous!
Totally Kayla oh yeah? I have never shopped on Nashly. I absolutely adore the ones I made though, so it’s all good 😜
@@FragaliciousNailsbyJess this is definitely awesome! I was just letting you know that Nashly has some beautiful decals and they're so affordable!!!
You are a freaking genius! But I do have one question? What is the purpose of using the acrylic clear paint? Is it an absolute necessary step? I appreciate all you do and love, love, love your videos, keep 'em coming!!!
My guess is it seals in the ink. When it prints on the paper its just sitting on top. If you dont seal it, the water would ruin the ink
Annie Hebdon yes, Holly is correct. It seals in the ink and creates the “slide”. I’m afraid it is an absolutely necessary step or the ink will just disintegrate.
Thank you both! I felt kind of dumb asking after I posted the question, but I appreciate you both for not making me feel like a big dummy, lol! ❤❤❤
Annie Hebdon there are no dumb questions. I understand why you asked. Never be afraid to ask me a question.
Do you know if that krylon spray would be poisonous if i was to apply a full nail decal directly to bare nail, no base coat literally just the decal?
Awesome video
Omneyas WISH thanks so much!
Did you use transparent paper? I'm not sure if i should buy white or transparent to start with
I would definitely stick with transparent. That way you can use the decals over any nail color.
Marla sent me! Lol
Well hello and welcome to my channel! Lol! I hope you find what you’re looking for☺️
do i have to use top coat on my nails when i use the decals
Yes, it’s best to apply a top coat to protect the decal, otherwise it may rub of or be washed away when your hands get wet.
Whats the size you use ? To make the decal
Size? Of the decal itself? I measured my nail bed. The area where I would apply the decals and went from there.
What was the app you saud you used to take the background away??
Nvm i seen you posted it ..lol
@@badazzbish no problem, there are several apps that can do it. If you Google search “background remover”. Or search in the App Store.
I do this but I was doing full nails and they only lasted 3 days before they started lifting/chipping at the tips.
I have not applied full nail decals to my own nails yet. Only to swatch sticks so far. Someday I’ll be brave enough. Longevity is what worry about too. Trying to think of the best way to protect them because simply a gel base and top coat will not suffice. I learned that with transfer foils.
What size you used for purple roses?
I do no remember the exact sizing, but I used a sewing tape measure to measure my nail bed from cuticle to free edge and sidewall to sidewall and then used the ruler on my word processing page to size them appropriately.
The letters and numbers above the little screen on your printer tbat says how much ink you have left etc.. that’s your printer model lol 😉
Did anyone else freak out seeing blank areas of the page? 🙈
can i do it on sticker paper?
I have never tried it on sticker paper. The process to print may be similar, but I am not sure about the rest.
