I hardly comment at all but I feel I owe you one. I like your work and was just there in Grand Junction for the Wine Festival. Shout out from West Loveland.
👍 That's what I'm talkin" bout', simple solutions. Now hinge the camper mount plates/brackets to where it all lays flat and your golden. What are the scenarios where those legs would be used on a trip anyway besides maybe stabilizing? Pet elks, waaay cool.
If Bryan or you know someone with a "Helmet Class" 3D Printer you, Bryan or they could design a fairing that can be snapped and anchored into place to further deflect wind currents around those mounting points on the Kimbo. My one concern with leaving those supports behind, knowing that they also weigh ~100 lbs combined, is if towing is ever needed for the vehicle that hight and weight of the Kimbo could complicate issues. I'm still annoyed with GMC for not allowing insert campers in my Canyon due to warranty and subsequent insurance issues, the Kimbo would have been perfect!
Hello, I'm new to your channel. Wind resistance & weight from the jacks, yes for sure. But most of your wind resistance is coming from the high "flat" front cab of your camper. Not a good design... Are those hydraulic jacks or mechanical jacks? I love that plate adapter! Great invention design. I'm going to get me these when I buy those jacks. I appreciate you sharing this video. Happy camping!
I also put a pair of these on my Kimbo with extender jack plates and they are awesome!! Chainline was amazing to work with!
That’s so great to hear!! Agreed!
How Beautiful was that Moose . Looked he just finished mowing the lawn. and coming up the house for a cool Drink Ha Ha Ha
Haha- he did hang around for awhile.
👋, very cool design and easy to use. Love the scenery and wildlife ❤
Thanks so much 😊

And without the jacks we’re even narrower for more off roading options.

Interesting ideas. Good point on the camper weight and potential towing scenario.
Will you have time to close the dome in before big snow? Beautiful fallscape and wildlife.
That’s the goal! So far the weather is waaaaay above normal, so hopefully we’ll get another bonus month or 2 of work.
Leave the pin clips with the legs so they don't dissappear.
Good idea!

Thanks so much! These jacks are mechanical; hand crank or much speedier using a drill & bit. Agree- a great invention!
Went to check out the link for the jack plates.....Norton blocked it said it was a fake site that hackers use?
That’s the website I got direct from the company. It works for me without any warning.
I tried again same warning. Hmmmmm
