Mav, what an awesome opportunity! I’ve seen a few of these on the internet, and it was cool to see a person just use one normally, not hype it up and try to kiss up to the company. That being said, I cannot understand how this is 1.1 million dollars haha, like there is literally no way it is worth that much. Anyone that buys one of these must be disgustingly rich and or have no clue what things are actually worth. 1.1 million is crazy
It was a different brand but the UA-cam channel donut did an off road test with one of these types of trucks and the camper actually snapped and broke off the truck I would imagine this one is about the same durability look at how it wobbles when he drives. It’s def not even close to $1M

He was never planning on living in trucks forever. But now, that’s what his channel has become, so he has to keep doing it to make his living. I would imagine that he’s kind of moved on past that phase of truck camping and wants to do different things with his life, but is restricted because of the content expectations of viewers of his channel. That may be why he doesn’t seem to enjoy it as much, or get as excited as he used to, because there is not much risk involved. He has figured out a system, he knows what to do, and he knows as long as he uploads this content he will make money and be comfortable. It has gotten easy, and gotten boring.
Man, what a beautiful rig I am totally a Chevy man and this thing is just a work of art I would buy this if I was able. I'm a fan of the Destination Adventure channel, where Dustin Porter has laboriously built his own truck camper from an old Dodge truck and a used camper, with various custom modifications, for probably less than 1/10th budget of this...thing. I like Dustin--he has a great sense of humor, and when his rig breaks he gets out the tools and fixes it himself. And he goes to really remote places, like a town that is on the Arctic ocean, about as far north as you can go via road. What I wonder about this million-dollar truck is, what happens when it breaks? Does the owner know how to fix it? As another commenter observed, it's a camper for people who don't like camping. Driving a rig like this into really remote, rough areas could be a crap shoot--it has so much electronic stuff on it that could easily go sideways when exposed to the elements. No, I think this truck is something you show off in an RV park--"golly gee, look at that!"--as you settle into bed with a movie on the TeeVee. A camper for the iPhone-tablet crowd. I'll lay off of our host Mav--he's just making a living doing a channel. Brought to you by....
Oh, it's perfectly logical! Why settle for a mere lakeside mansion when you can have the thrill of a million-dollar house that moves at 10 miles per gallon? After all, who doesn't dream of parking their fortune in a campground next to someone grilling hot dogs?
Nice, but the shower 🚿 is so small, even you could barely turn around inside ( 24"x27" ) I think? Anyone over 200 lbs, can only admire it from the outside. Cheap tru induction cooktop, cheap cassette toilet, and their 80%,+ company profit, about $600,000 too much, otherwise not bad, like all your videos Mav, fellow Minnesotan.

Even if you're not a Chevy guy the Duramax/Allison is just about the best platform you could start off with for a truck build like this. Great video, Mav!! I enjoy watching road trip, camp, fish, and cook. The wide variety of campers, trucks, and automobiles makes it even more fun!! Sweet rv!
Sponsored by Intel when they’re about to lay off 15,000 people it’s crazy
So they’re supposed to just stop marketing? Still gotta sell product. Sucks that they are are laying people off but it’s not like they are going to stop promoting their products.
Closing hawthorn farms location too, tons of ppl I know are out of a job now
Are you dumb?
Would you prefer they lay off 30,000 people because they're not selling enough product?

You're a natural when it comes to describing that Earthroamer !you'd make a great salesman ! 🤑
That's what this is, silly☺️
He said this has "hydraulic brakes"😅
Love what you do Mav. Most of us would never be able to afford a truck like this and just taking one out for a weekend seems like a dream. This desperately makes me want to go camping again, even with my budget camping gear. Looking forward to your next adventure

The beauty about the earth roamer is that your driving the campsite can camp anywhere you want to park
I can do that with my 20k camper
Imagine this company rented this truck for $1k per night, at their price point it would take a whopping 1,100 nights of renting to make up their $1.1m price tag.

You would think for a million dollar rig they'd have a nicer griddle than a Walmart Blackstone.
They could of gave it a big green egg beside the griddle, it already cost 1.1mill whats another 2000 or 3000 to add that in
Mav, and this Rig's company are both scam artists
@@ericsmith3996 Just because he got to test drive a nice camper? Is it overpriced? Sure. I've seen an Earthroamer roll on it's side.....A little too back and top heavy for me.....plus you can only overland to places that this monster will actually get to without rolling over....😅
Yeah basically fire roads. I’ve rolled my jeep. It’s easier than you think. Still think these trucks are bad ass but really can’t do too much off roading with them.
Mav dont put olive oil in fridge it will go bad or even rancid, keep in dark dry area like cupboards, also cook with something better high temp like coconut oil for stuff like steak or pork chops ect !

As someone thats born and raised in Denver, CO. This is an AWESOME video! I really enjoyed 🎉
He don’t sound excited I reckon lol
I loved this ❤ yes these are expensive but its always a joy to watch one of them in action and also I've seen these inspire others to get a truck and put a box trailer on it and make it look just like this for a cheaper price tag and I think that's awesome that this camper has inspired others.👌🏻
But, at the same time, there are many hypercars worth way more than this, and I think I’d rather have this than one of those. Still, not worth it haha
It was a different brand but the UA-cam channel donut did an off road test with one of these types of trucks and the camper actually snapped and broke off the truck I would imagine this one is about the same durability look at how it wobbles when he drives. It’s def not even close to $1M
@@HarryANuis-gi9hzLol the camper didn't fall off, the drive shaft failed. As you said, it wasn't produced by EarthRoamer, and while I am not a fan of EarthRoamer, their vehicles are clearly designed better than the camper in the Donut vid.
everything is custom built, if you ask any shop to build something exactly like that its gonna be about the same price

"Life stops being interesting once you accomplish all your goals/when you don't have any life problems "

Thank you for the channel suggestionn, sounds like a much better channel.

Oh, it's perfectly logical! Why settle for a mere lakeside mansion when you can have the thrill of a million-dollar house that moves at 10 miles per gallon? After all, who doesn't dream of parking their fortune in a campground next to someone grilling hot dogs?
*10 gallons per mile.
