Hey all Few days ago I bought this Amazon Lite First minus thing was that there no volume +/- button,buuuuut I found it. Circle button up/Down/left/right just hold littlebit longer up or Down and volume control will show 😉
It doesn’t matter what brand is TV. So when you Are in app just hold up or down (Circle button) and you will get volume fuction Also in app Like MX player or other

I just bought it yesterday on a black Friday sale in Germany for 19,48 € for my TV down in my home Gym its a great device I have an older one on my main TV from 2017 I can't tell the deference they both work great.

You failed to mention the added benefit of attaching an external usb drive on the Firestick TV lite which is an awesome benefit. That in and of itself is worth the $30. Same processor speed as the 3rd generation firestick TV.

I think the benchmark is higher because of Android 9 on the new Fire Sticks and Android 7 for the 4K Fire Stick. Also the tv control remote will pair up with the Fire Stick Lite version and added note out the box the new Fire Sticks you can adapt the storage and the 4k Fire Stick you can't.
I bought my 2 firesticks 4k last october for $24.99 and i only have 1080p but i'm future ready lol and the price was early black friday savings i bought 2 sticks and hacked them at a fraction of the price of the nvidia shield which didn't have a black friday sale happy with my purchase great companion for my roku devices

You will need your remote tv control to select whether to watch firestick instead of regular tv or DVD player etc, so regular has little advantage over lite.
Great video. I've read that the new firestick and fs lite are adaptable storage compatible with an OTG cable out of the box since it is android 9. Basically the only advantage over the fire stick 4k.
Pretty sure the CEC functionality means you can use your TV remote to navigate the firestick just like ps3 ps4 series x etc. Can't say for sure til I get my firestick lite in a couple of weeks but bretty sure that's the point of it.
I had currently bought two of the Firestick lites no complaints. I have the 4 k one I just got so I enjoy the Firestick set up it is one of my favourites

I'm curious of least expensive enjoyable option that streams AV1. That might be a factor, along with issues between your device and their location, in what resolution the streaming service chooses to send. I've notice a lot of low resolution videos playing on high def TVs streamed from wherever. People wanting to stream OTA should target h265 support, soon h266. Those are the best patent encumbered formats but OTA networks agreed to use them. If you want the best over the internet experience, VP9 is good, AV1 is best for at least the next few years. Those are the best open and free to use formats that are either widely used or soon to be. AV1 use is growing fast. If you want access to internet streams, support it. Don't be one any network needs to maintain older standards support for. They'd all probably like to drop everything but AV1, but can't until they're encode capability can encode to it fast enough. Let's try to get ahead by supporting receiving AV1 ASAP.

I can think of a reason to get lite over the other ones. I have an older TV and the power and volume controls did not work on it with my 4K stick.. Amazon had the lite on sale for $17. How can you go wrong when the controls won't work anyway purchasing lite.
I don't see any difference on the lite than on the firesticks I bought 2 years ago, other than upgraded technology which is good considering I paid almost $20 more for mine & neither of the 2 I have got a volume button nor a power button either. But with certain 3rd party apks I can use the up & down to access volume control. So to me, for $17.00 now it's worth it. Especially for Christmas gifts. I've bought 3 of them for 3 of my aunts. I bet they won't complain about a volume button.
My fire tv lite is stuck in on the first screen where it ask you to press play/pause nothing works, tried new batterys and several way to pair still nothing any help please
In my opinion you should skip all three of them and buy a Chromecast with Google TV, it has Android 10 with a much better looking and faster interface and because it is a Google device I wouldn’t be surprised if it is updated more, it has a USB-C port which helps greatly with the speed of the devices you connect via OTG, you can set external storage as internal, and the hardware itself and controller look better IMO.

Given that the hardware is almost identical, I gotta think that Amazon will deploy this Fire os based on Android 9 in the near future. That would make adding storage really easy, which currently is a hassle having to do ADB commands. I would also take your comment a step further, and say why would you get the 39 version, when you can get the 4K for 10 bucks more? I realize some people are on tight budget, but it's only 10 bucks! lol

For some stupid reason the 4k version is not available here in Australia only the lite version for $59 which I find stupid to buy if you got a 4k tv, so I guess amazon didn't think about this properly, google chromecast with google TV is about to go on sale here next week so is Google for me. @@vibez5484 you can just use your tv remote to control your on/off tv power and your tv volume. The fire stick tv lite doesn't have that capability.
Same at Best Buy. Sweet deal. Honestly, I ain't a HUGE fan of universal remotes in general anyway.

The lite strictly relies on audio passthrough for Dolby and such the others fo not . So the lite requires extra hardware for Dolby
I use a projector not a TV so the lite is perfect because I wouldn’t be able to use the power and volume controls anyway :)
