docs.google.co... Patient warmers are used throughout every hospital because they help reduce hypothermia and hospital related health complications.
Some patients are too small and frail to maintain their own body temperature, some are catatonic or immobilized. It's not just about patient comfort levels, altering or maintaining body temperatures is often therapeutic. Let's take a look inside a forced air blanket patient warmer. Hello there Mr. Better BIomed....I'm a student doing a diploma in biomedical engineering.
This video has really been helpful and informative for this project I am currently working on.
Be blessed and I hope to see more.

Since the temperature is adjustable on the front panel the mechanical cutout is regulating in case the electronics get unresponsive. There's also a thermal fuse in the heating element, a last resort when all else fails.

The heater is running on AC. In that case it's a TRIAC on the heatsink. The transformer is too small for powering that heating element. I guess there's a small TRIAC for the fan and then the big on the heatsink for the heater.

I completly agree on the triac for the heater. The fan looks to be relay controlled straight from Mains. I will get better pictures of the power board along with some part numbers. I had 10 minutes to film and prep for this video before other Biomeds come walking through the warehouse.
