    I’m definitely heading down this way with my 2024 raptor r se. I’ve been following and watching and learning from your vids bro. Salute and gratitude. Your guidance on building my bike has been phenomenal! I just got my big 3 set up, full Empire dual exhaust, Dyno jet power commander 6 and a fuel air intake. The next step of course is doing a few things to add Hp but I come from a history of riding a banshee with 5 mil stroker, cpi exhaust, 36mm carbs etc, and port and polishing. The Hp and torque from that I’ve always been in love with. I feel going this direction later down the line with my raptor will be perfect to substitute without going way further into money and upgrading the engine

    Been watchin quite a bit of your technical/ in depth videos… glad to see there’s still people like you out there innovating versus these “speed shops” bolting together kits with no true knowledge. I understand why fix something that isn’t broken but the extensive experiments, trial and error is what sets you apart for sure.

    But lol those few guys in the raptor group SWEAR they have a 95-100hp bike with ZERO internals. 😂 and they dyno it but forgot to take a video of it

    So how much would something like this cost?

      Around 4k for engine package, but that isn't including TB, air filter, exhaust, larger fuel injector depending on fuel used, longer sprocket gearing/swingarm, lockout/slingshot clutch, power commander,ECT..and that is for a shop to do the machining work and sell you the upgraded piston/rod/crank..if you don't have prior experience with a custom race tuned engine and how they are assembled your going to have to pay to have them bolt it together as well because it is not as straight forward as a stock motor and believe me you will fuck it up. There are several extra steps and modifications/ measurements that need to be accounted for. Stroker pistons also come with an extra ring and the rings usually need to be filed to spec...your better off letting a pro build it start to finish in which case to get to the point of a 100hp raptor your easily looking at 10-15k in parts and labor

    I know dual sports arnt your main deal but I’d love to see you build a DRZ400sm since they are a close comparison to the ltz400. I have a drz470 BB 5m stroker with cams and a cvk40 carb. Haven’t dynoed yet but I think it’s touching 50hp at the wheel. Do you think I’m close?

    • @codybertram6122
      @codybertram6122 Рік тому +1

      I wouldn’t doubt your very close if not past it. Drz with a similar build can reach over 60 with head work and a keihin fcr.

      @brakefaded Рік тому

      @@codybertram6122 I like the smoothness of the CV carbs and the 40 really opened it up in the top end. I’m sure I’m leaving some power compared to a fcr but for 1/4 off the price I got no complaints

    • @MrCuervoRacing
      @MrCuervoRacing  Рік тому

      Yeah, gotta ditch the cv to make power

    • @codybertram6122
      @codybertram6122 Рік тому

      You can definitely make a worked over cv carb fun for daily use and light off roading. Sure if you have the money the fcr is the way to go but don’t sleep on a properly tuned cv can be lots of fun and mpg for the average user. Also have to remember that with more power comes more stress on the drivetrain. My brother bought a 434 used that had old stg2 hot cams and stock 36cv. It took me three jetting tries but it would do 5th gear back tire all day long but would eat sprockets and chains for breakfast.
