    I once commented that good content is worth waiting for. Excellent work as usual, and I'm sure the company of Cody is welcome, and an opportunity to relax a little on big builds.
    And it's good to see you laughing brother!

    Wow, dude. Great execution. I love watching your professionalism while you execute your commissions. The fact that you make your drawer boxes out of solid material is a great indicator, and from experience I know just how much better the drawers turn out (structurally AND aesthetically). I always have to keep telling myself during your videos, "It's the customer's requirement, ignore the finish." Makes my eye twitch a bit to bury nice maple under paint, but... customer, right?
    Question: I've looked around at my local big box places and some specialty stores, but they don't seem to carry Codys... did you have to source your Cody online?

    • @FortressFineWoodworks
      @FortressFineWoodworks  Рік тому +2

      Haha thanks man. The drawers really do come out nice with solid maple. I totally get what you mean about the finish. Us woodworkers have a different appreciation for the wood itself. Although, as time progresses, I'm beginning to realize that it's all art and art is art. If the customer is happy then we are in business.
      P.S. Cody is actually AI. Just ask chat gpt and you can get one.....Thanks for Watching!!

    Infinity makes an 8” by 1/4” flat bottom grind blade ! I rarely use a dado stack or as I say “ DD” dangerous Dado Stack! I make my drawers and all dados up to 3/4 “ ( more than that the DD goes on and a cup) ?

    • @FortressFineWoodworks

      That's good to know. I don't see how that would be any safer than a dado stack. But it would be nice to have

    So it looks like you dado the face frame 1/4” deep by 3/4” wide to fit onto the face frame?

    • @FortressFineWoodworks
      @FortressFineWoodworks  Рік тому

      I dado 3/16 deep so that the pockethole screws have more to bite into. And the widths range from 1/2 to 3/4 depending on which panel is being connected

    • @danielrybin2006

      @@FortressFineWoodworks do you adjust the dado stack each time to accommodate for micro-variations in plywood thickness ?

    • @FortressFineWoodworks
      @FortressFineWoodworks  Рік тому

      If I have 75% 1/2" then I will just leave the dado stack at 1/2 and double cut for any of the 3/4 cuts. If it's 50% of each, I will switch the stack

    • @danielrybin2006
      @danielrybin2006 Рік тому +1

      @@FortressFineWoodworks no what I mean is we all know that 1/2” ply is not actually 0.5000” and that even between different manufacturers the widths will vary a bit. So how precise do you make your dado? Do you adjust the stack to be a tight fit to the plywood in hand each time (assuming slight variations)?

    • @FortressFineWoodworks
      @FortressFineWoodworks  Рік тому +1

      That makes sense. I make it loose by about 1/32 or 1 mm . So it usually works to make the dado exactly 1/2 since the ply is slightly under

    Sorry but this is a bad job. What is this ridiculous frame and that weird hinges for? It is ugly and not practical at all. 2nd, silicone? Really? On wood???. 3. And you never center the handles for the lower drawers. In your case only the top drawer handle is centered. The middle and bottom drawer the handle has to be up. The same distance to the top edge like your top drawer....

    • @FortressFineWoodworks
