The point I made in this video is that you need to suit different talents and glyphs to different situations e.g arena/RBG and different classes. I don't use that strangulate glyph because I mostly use asphyxiate now so I don't have strangulate. What I use now is glyph of dark simulacrum, icy touch and shifting presences. However I wont use Dark simulacrum if I know I'm not going to be focusing on spell caster the majority of the game, thus I use glyph of death and decay to slow down melee
I will be makinga whole series of arena games with commentary and I should mention topics like that in coming videos
Blood boil refreshes your blood rune as a death rune which leads to necrotic strikes, which is the biggest pressure for an unholy dk, pestilence does not. Pestilence is at melee range whereas blood boil is 10 yards and thus can be cast on enemies in all directions so overall is spreads diseases more efficiently. As for conversion it costs too much runic power for it to compete with second wind, however next patch i think It will show some potential. Death's advance compliments UH presence.
Its much more based on preference I find that when death's advance passive buff of 10% stacks with the unholy presence extra 15% is gives a considerable speed increase especially when death's advance is popped. Also I find the slow linked to to frost fever is useless because I can increase the duration of chains of ice with festering strike. I also find death pact more useful because it quicker and doesn't affect your pressure, however I haven't tried conversion a lot this patch.
Use keybinds with a shift modifier, in the keybinding panel holde shift and press another key. Then the key will be binded to shift+E. You also use alt to bind keys. I use a Razer Naga which has over 15 remappable buttons on the side of the mouse its a good piece of kit and well worth the money. I would also recommend if you can, to rebind your middle mouse button (the scroll button when pushed in) to shift rather than using shift on the keyboard.:)
I don't buff the gargoyle with unholy frenzy I just like to time all my cds at once for maximum pressure. With unholy frenzy popped your gargoyle benefits from the haste increase so it attacks faster thus increases damage output. I've tested the Gargoyle's dps with an without unholy frenzy (including strength trinket) and the dps is a lot better. So I conclude that the gargoyle's stats are based on the death knight's stats.
Bartender is moves around your hotbars the micro bar the bag bar etc. Essential addon for any wow player trust me
The point I make in this video is that you should to change your talents suiting the comp your are against in arena. I don't use gorefiend's grasp in arena lmao I use it in RBGs. Desecrated ground and remorseless winter are better suited for arena. Death's advance goes better in UH spec because it stacks with uh presence, which is why it is better for kiting. With patch 5.2 asphyxiate has a 30 second cool down so it would be good for using against non casting teams as silence=useless for warr
I would consider Glyph of icy touch against priest mages and druids (Lifebloom). Also festering strike uses a 1 blood and 1 frost rune and turns them both into death runes, so you shouldn't rely too much on icy touch to get necrotics but more on your high blood tap stack

Moveanything to customise the size of blizzard frames.
The blue stuff at the bottom is called 'sunart' I downloaded every art pack on curseclient.
Also use debuff filter those big buff and debuff buttons on-screen.
I moved the rune bar with moveanything also its a must have addon so you dont have download consuming ui addons liike xpeal and nui etc
Remeber to keep your Ui clean and down fill it too much :)
I use asphyxiate a lot more often now because of the low CD and my focus macro. However I find chilblains less useful as festering strike increases the duration of the chains of ice slow and I also use glyph of death and decay for a slow. I find death's advance far more useful to catch up to mages and hunters as you can't be slowed below 70% passive 100% active with increase of 30%+10%15% stacked with body and soul you truly are unkiteable.
Yeah I know but its best to time unholy frenzy with gargoyle as they both have same cooldown and the gargoyle will attack faster. trinketing at the same time now isn't so important So i just bind that somewhere else and use it every 1 min and time it with my proc trinket and gargoyle to max out pressure. The trinket is in the macro in case i forget to to use it separately
I move then with an addon called moveanything its on curse and its really helpful re-sizing player frames it really can re-size and move anything.
To move the runes with the addon you go to the game menu select 'moveanything' button and load the config. Then you select the the class specific option and then click 'dk rune bar' and move them the addon its really simple to use but dont go crazy with it :)
Maybe I'll make a video Maybe I'll just write it. All I can tell you is that it takes a while messing around with the addon to understand how it works. You need to filter it so it only shows the buffs you want it to show, you can enter them manually. I also have a debuff bar that only appears when my diseases have less than 10 seconds left so it reminds me to repply them, same bar also displaces short ccs like strangulate

I used bartender, but don't become a clicker your movement is restricted and its a lot slower to hover to your abilities. Using binds is much quicker. The add-on is on curse client :)
and hunter. However without death's advance it would fairly difficult to catch up to a mage or hunter so you have to be the one to make the judgment bearing in mind your team and the enemies team :)
Tested and your right but you can't have all of them in one macro you must bind your trinket to a different key-bind and use it before Gargoyle. Also it has a minute CD so you should use it during your necrotic burst as strength also increases the health absorb you apply
you don't bind WASD you bind keys like e q f caps lock r c and mouse buttons you can also use shift keys so you have things like shift+e etc. I would strongly recommend getting a mouse compatible with drivers that reconfigurate the mouse buttons and set middle mouse button as shift instead of using it on the key board. To strafe left and right you press in the right mouse botton and steer your movement using that
Frost is very straight forward I feel like a machine while playing it lmao
Use addons like bartender and moveanything. You can unlock player and target frames without any mods just right click the frame and select unlock frame. TO make them bigger however, which you may need to on a big monitor, you can use the addon moveanything to resize everything.
FS increases the duration of chains of ice, I use blood tap in a macro with necrotic strike not death coil, Ams glyph reduces magic damage taken by 100% up from 75%

that rarely happens because I sit on my runes a bit, so I can time them all together in big bursts. if you find you're running out of runes too quickly, then you need to be more conscious about how you are using them, rather than just spamming random shit. If your runes are all depleted, then pop horn of winter, take a deep breathe and figure out what you're gona do next when you get your runes back, and focus on ccs and line of sight. In a nutshell stay calm and play defensive.
Did you you choose asphyxiate as a talent? because it replaces strangulate

The AMS glyph is imba against casters obviously not against melee. I use asphyxiate more often now its great to chain CC with your pet stun. Conversion ruins everything especially your necrotic pressure as it burns your runic power away and the healing is too slow to survive bursts. It may be a useful talent when against slow dpsers, but i feel its useless when I have a healer in my team.
Retype the macro, check your out of combat, reload ui. Still no luck just use death pact without macro, or use /cast death pact /cast huddle
Make sure the spaces are in the correct place :)
I think death's advance is also better for catching up to people, because you ant be slowed below 100% while its active.
I love it! The only problem I have is using glyph of AMS. With or without the glyph you still absorb the same amount of damage. It's just a matter of how the damage mitigation gets spread out.
Use focus macros with shift modifiers. I will be making a video soon focused completely on macros. Mouse-overs are still useful for healing pet, RBGs and slows.
in 5.1 frost was better suited for RBGs because of the insane burst damage, I do in fact play frost when i do them. However this next patch i think we will see more UH dks as it's being buffed damage wise. (Especially in arena.)
Nice vidya, especially liked the Blood Tap macro, really helps and saves time. Altho' I disagree on talents, it's really everyone for themselves to decide. All I'll say is that Blood Presence along with Conversion goes really well, and it shouldn't be ignored. It's far more superior to the Sacrifice even if you have a healer. You just need to know how to use it correctly.
With glyph it abosorbs 100% of damage up to 50% of health so it blocks all damage
Without it think it only absorbs 75% of the incoming damage so still lets damage through
Pestilence 10 yards blood boil 10 yards
Glyph of pestilence 15 yards blood boil 15 yards (extra 5 yards only pestilence effect not the damage of blood boil) tested many times
you don't really need to use backpedaling at all you just turn with the mouse the in to the direction you want to go then go forwards its must faster, (providing your mouse has high sensitivity).

I was a nightelf once but I switched to human for the extra proc trinket for extra damage. I do kinda miss shadowmeld it was good for defending bases in rbgs, however I find it more helpful for stealth classes rather than DK. If you look at my latest video I'm in one of my favourite dk tmogs :)

I would consider conversion against slow dps like UDK and affliction lock but most classes are burst nuts these days
well update it, download it from website or in the addons tab in the characters selection screen, Select load out of date addons and that should work

I used that macro before. Didn't like it so I focused more on making shift modifier to focus macros with strangulate and mind freeze
undead aren't actually tagged as undead they are still humanoid so just use lichborne and learn how to use the self heal macro its the most beneficial heal compared to the other talents in that tier
Roiling blood does the same thing as pestilence with the added difference that Blood Boil deals damage while Pestilence does not.
More bang for your rune buck so to speak.
Not to mention the fact that Plague leech is bollocks and Unholy Blight sits on a pretty hefty cool down, while that does the same thing Outbreak does.
Death pact has no equal. the other choices are subpar.
Its not a rune addon I just moved it from the player frame with the addon called 'moveanything' its on curse :)
Its not in pack that blue overlay on the bottom and the sides is an addon called sun art there are many different art packs i just downloaded them all :)
before my comment, i would like to say, that i don't PvP. however, the gargoyle don't take a snapshot anymore, and hasn't done since the deathwing patch, but the gargoyles stats change when your stats change

Frost better for RBGs Unholy better for arena I personaly play both as frost is better suited for RBGs due to its single target nuking which is the best play style to win rbgs.

Just got a quick question.I've been playing wow for ages and I've always been a clicker.. my mate wants me to try to use keybindings and I've never done it before. (Yes I know I sound like a noob) How would I move if I keybind the WASD keys? Cause moving with the mouse is horrible lol. (I'm left handed btw)

its situational, to be sure, but i find since you can poop out runic power, and it has no cd- its great for prolonged arenas. If Gargoyle still had its cost, Conversion would certainly be useless :3

I find conversion quite useless it doesn't heal quick enough however it may be good for duels and soloing raid bosses lmao.

it will work the same, but without actually targeting yourself. shorter and quite smart.

You either spread disease with Pestilence or Blood Boil.
Blood boil? Roiling blood and pick a different Glyph.
Pestilence? Glyph it and pick a different talent.
Having both is counterproductive since you effectivly steal diversity from your toolset that way.
Roiling Blood > Glyph of Pestilence imo.
This frees up a glyph slot for (f.e.) Shifting Presences to make stance dancing more viable, and you will HAVE to go into Blood Presence when you get trained anyway.

alright, in my opinion converison is way better then death pact survivability wise, yes it slows down your damage incredibly but way better survivability wise roiling blood is just terrible i dont know why people would use it, it does the SAME thing as pestilence. the grasp could work, i use desecrated ground just for more mobility.. plus chilblains is really good for peels in 2s/3s if your healer needs peels from a meleebut deaths advance could work i guess. but yeah converison is way better

you should go Conversion/ Asphixiate in 5.2 definatley for Arena maybe Death pact for RBGs, and don't use AMS glyph especially in RBGs don't use it.

chillbanes is a root not a stun and Deaths advance is useless really as if u presure them enough they run not you, plus death pact is good for blood and frost not unholy u want to use conversion heal each second for 6.5k (bad gear) - 12k (full conquest gear)
