- Anthony Bourdain goes back to Lebanon four years after being trapped in the Israeli crossfire of Beirut. Bourdain is on a mission to finish what he had already started. Part 1 of 3.
I'd like to add some context to this being born and bred Lebanese.
We fucking LOVE Anthony. He was one of the few that understood us.
We consider him one of us, and we don't give that distinction to many people.
I’ve spent almost every summer in Lebanon since I was born and he could not be more right when he said everyone has a story
I don't know you but reading this I hope you are okay..
This is even sadder to watch now...
Dude same I always come in the summer to Lebanon
My neighbor was doing some construction work on his house and had rubble piled up in his yard and I said "Wow, it looks like Beirut around here". The carpenter said"actually I've been to Beirut and it is beautiful, except for the few areas that the media films." That surprised me and it's just something I remember. Looks like he was right.
beirut seems like the coolest city on earth.
It's not...Trust me
It is! Definitely is.
It's a blast!!
Wish the Beirut people the best after the explosion
I remember the last show and I am so glad that they could get back and finish what they started.
RIP Anthony!

Thank you for the upload, sorry that the other parts got flagged!
Looks like wonderful food and wonderful people. Should have gone when I had the chance. Oh well next time.
Miss Anthony
4:00 So without that TV Special, Anthony wouldn't have thought having becoming a Father, having a child with Ottavia.
There's no aphrodisiac like escaping from a warzone.
Crazy explosion the other day. RIP to everyone
Let's enjoy life and forget about what we are
Looks like a lovely place and the food looks really yummy!!
stop all the fighting hate will take no1 no where god bless lebanon my home
I miss Beirut
I am convinced Anthony was murdered
Where is the love.....Hate is heavy let it go.....
Will there be part two and three?
Is is just me, or does Anthony's opening line @1:31: "After two amazing days of shooting" feel kinda inappropriate?
This hasn't aged well.
Right. Why don't the two governments like eachother? And how long has it been going on? Thanks for the info btw :)
i missed the name of that white colored drink he was drinking. anyone know what its called?
Arak
His daughter had to have one of those WTF moments upon hearing that. lol
Where are the other two parts?
it's on max, S6 E16 of no reservations
Lebanese Food kicks ass!!!
All Mid East food kicks ass
Too bad the sides can't get together and enjoy a gr8 plate of humus, kufte, baklavah, and some kick ass caffe with hal.
@terajasoos then what do you call your inappropriate comment? sounded like sarcasm to me
Who knows the name of the song that goes off at 7:10 ?
The guy he's with....the playwright...looks like he aged so quickly...poor guy.... : (
Anyone know the name of the song that plays at 6:38?
HEY GUYS, let's debate middle eastern politics! It will be FUN FUN FUN!
Damn, Joe has aged really fast.
Like I already said. Have an Almaza on me friend.
lebanese pastries are yum, the best in the world
I'm a total layman when it comes to Beirut... what, in a nutshell, is the cause of the conflict in the area?
Israel
Nazah no.
Arak?!
The slaughter of 9 and the kidnapping of 3 Israeli soldiers, 2 who were returned dead, 1 missing as of 1902 days now began this tragic event.
Anthony era único
Anthony Bourdain, a Jew in Lebanon...intresting
Shame on all you posting your hate towards a Political view on this Mans Show!
I miss Almaza :(
@terajasoos there was no need to be sarcastic
If by "fighting back," you mean punishing thousands of civilians for the actions of a few militants. This is what happens when you start a country based on a religion that has such a heavy emphasis on collective punishment.
sho sho shoananas, sho sho shoananas......
Niggas are wildin
the guy looks so distressed..
@devilhunterred
LOLz I like the comparison so true !
alot of pro israel on here..thats fine im a proud american and i stand beind israel...but remember, lebanon is not like other countries in the middle east, first off being that its 40 percent christian, and that its food is the most talked about and originated in all the middle east...that includes the israelies that claim they invented hummus...watch this whole episode and watch the wonder of food and culture that can only come out of beirut...not israel
I don't get what that Lebonese GUys theory was, can't somebody please help me understand it!
and secondly, there are always bad comments in the media about lebanon...anthony is trying to show what beirut is, and what it wants to be...its sad that hezbollah is there..and the christians in the country cannot overthrow them...but there is alot of good in lebanon...if you watch this whole episode, you will see that anthony is trying to show the good of lebanon....not why did he not go to israel....because he knows the good food is in lebanon....lol
@Yitzchak2492 hehehe. Next time you'll come to Lebanon you'll leave in a coffin.
when i poop on the ceiling my mom feels good
@manutdr8 lol!!!
Im from chile.. I know that the middle east is like a different world to.me.. But i love israel.. Netanya. Tel aviv. Haifa. Eilat... Jerusalem.. The west bank. Jordan. And i also like beirut and tyre.. Tripoli.. And i wish for peace.. Territores for the states are fr more important than the people that live in those territores.. And thats fucked up.. So i want peace and understanding..
If you want peace, you can't love a war criminal then 😅 what kind of oxymoron is that? You're super brainwashed.
Those "few militants" had more (and still do) military capabilities than the entire Lebanese army. When the Lebanese govt took no action against Hezbollah, what was Israel to do - sit back and let them kidnap our soldiers and then bomb our towns? And did you know that the Israeli air force dropped flyers warning which neighborhoods would be bombed well before they actually bombed them? What other army in the world does that? Please name just one...
Well I guess you don't want to hear it because you know it is true and it's easier for you to blame Israel than to actually face the fact that Hezbollah caused the war. The Israeli army goes to great lengths to teach it's soldiers about the moral aspect of being a soldier. And like I said - name me ONE other army in the world that gives warning before bombing during a war...
I cant believe how you justified these horrendous actions by Israeli army with your comment! Dont even get started on the "humane" side of your army, because you know you are going to lose on that front, just dont even get started on this!
You know you're using the same logic as the abusive spouse who screams "look what you made me do!" while he's beating his wife.
What I love about Lebanese Men is the very tasty Rockets in their Pockets!
Yum!
lol syrian agents,,,,,
I'm starting to think Anthony sympathizes with Muslims....don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with visiting Beirut, Kuwait, etc., but I can't believe he hasn't visited Israel.
