RIP to the best storyteller ever. Bourdain introduced cultures, religions, and people by sitting down at a table for some food. I will truly miss this remarkable man.
RIP. As a young kid Anthony’s shows introduced me to a whole another world of food and culture and helped me get out of my comfort zone and explore all the world has to offer.
He wasn't just one of us... he was our spokesperson, and mascot. And I couldn't be more proud to have him as our culinary ambassador to the multiple cultures he explored. RIP Tony.
Bourdain was a seasoned junky at many levels and , like all pros , he was forever chasing that high until he just bummed out. At that topped off point no amount of money, dope, food or fame can trip those receptors again and he knew it was time to leave the party. And he showed himself out. Selfish ? Sure, but also courageous.
I miss him. I keep catching myself watching old re-runs and occasionally forgetting reality. His spirit will live on, through food and laughter and community. Thank you for bringing so many people together during their hardships, I'll never forget you.
I come back to this video, years after his passing, and all I've ever loved about the man shines in every video, every episode, and every other chef that he ever shared a meal with. The great Marco Pierre White, Masa Takeyama, Eric Ripier. All of them honor him as a great influence to budding and young chefs. An icon for not only being humble, but for being genuine and authentic. And most importantly, being an enthusiastic and loving friend, who wanted nothing but peace, understanding, and equality between all cultures and all people. Someone who could always make you love and laugh around others, regardless of background or origin. Someone who thrived and existed to bring everyone together and remind them to take in the smallest things and live in the moment to fall in love with the little moments with others. I miss you, Anthony. I can never express how much of an influence you always were to me, in the kitchen and out. And to so, so many others. Words can't express how many people, young and old, you taught humility, understanding, passion, and love to. Across countless generations, peoples, cultures, beliefs, and nationalities. I hope you find solace and embrace in your afterlife, and I hope you know how loved you always were. I'm sorry if you felt alone in the end. Rest in the sweetest peace, Anthony Bourdain. Your legacy will never be able to be matched, and your personality will always be missed across the globe. Much love ❤️
Thank you for saying exactly how I feel about his impact ! 🙏🏼🍴🔪 He was the first person I truly felt that made me feel like the life I chose was pretty freakin badass and to , as you said , keep the humility alive . RIP Chef 😞
Life is definitely missing some color without him. When I was in school, I used to watch his shows and think about when I graduate, all the places I was going to go to.
How the fck can you miss someone you've never meet in your life? Yet, I do miss Mr. Bourdain. While working as host at a popular downtown Chicago restaurant, I read Kitchen Confidential and it inspired me to attend culinary college. Some of the work values highlighted in that book I unknowingly adopted as my own, having read it five times. Watching him travel the world, exploring not only the food of foreign people but their culture and their hearts helped me see him as a humanitarian. Humanitarian? Fck yes! He introduce us to soooooo many different countries and their everyday people, while high lighting how food is the common thread that connects us all together. Dam I miss that dude!!!!!
I know what you mean. I would come home from my work-a-day job make a drink and sit on the couch and watch No Reservations. He was more than a chef or cook. He was a writer and a poet. It came through in the NoRez finales. I've read two of his books and they are more than fantastic. I will be reading the rest of them soon.

Discovered him way too late. As a tribute and toast to Tony I did a "BOURDAIN DAY 2021 Tribute Tour" in London this year, full 40 minute episode on my channel. Less a "where he went/what he did" in London, more exploring and trying NEW things. Paying my respects and hoping to honour his memory by entertaining not only myself, but other fans. Fellow travellers, this is what you need.
I went to Les Halles on my first dinner date with my wife when we started dating because of Anthony. It’s because of Tony that I enjoy the NYC food that I now couldn’t live without.

Rip Anthony, one of the greats his legacy will live on
what does vice use for a microphone, an old potato in a sock that has been frozen?
Pop-filters weren't included in the budget, so they just recorded it from behind a big plywood wall.
Hands down best travel and food show on tv, his personal touch was so unique and genuine
It's comforting knowing that he had 100 lifetimes worth of incredible meals with awesome people, across the world. I can see how life seems like a fantasy in a bitter sweet way when you enter a long, continued state of indulgence.
I love Parts Unknown; it's like half VICE half cooking, eating and of course DRINKING!
This man was amazing! Real to the core!! 😪 I hope you are at peace AB
eating and drinking like a king every now and then is VERY WISE!!
Until I die, i will do my best to emulate his philosophy on culture, the world, food and people. Happy laps around the sun.
Anthony Bourdain is the best friend I never had. I wish I could have a night with him ike this. These people are really to have known him like this.
RIP Anthony. I miss you man ❤
Loved his shows: No reservations, Parts unknown and the layover. So sorry he was so unhappy. He made me want to travel more. He will be missed.
