- There have been a couple of requests for Scotland, and maps keep turning up in my postbox. So, let's have a look at this beautiful place up North, from the Shetland and Orkney Islands, to the Hebrides, to the Central Belt with the cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh... Sleep well 💕

After six attempts I have finally seen the end of this video. Not because I didn’t fall asleep, but because I woke up and restarted it! Really love this one. And now I really want to visit those distant islands of Orkney and Shetland. Something truly wonderful about foggy chilly islands of the north.
This just goes to show that you can live in a place your whole life and still learn something about it from a Melange video.
I see being a German speaker means you have zero problems with the word 'loch.' 😎

i mean she only started 2 1/2 years ago and is at 52k. pretty good id say.
particularly when you consider the really top ones gibi/frivvi/glow are 1-in front of the camera and b-'hot' in front of the camera/on the thumbnails and are now c-the 'established' creators in the space.

I love maps, geography and languages. Scotland is a beautiful country to cover, I have visited the Inner Hebrides many times, the Isle of Skye being the main place I have visited as well the Isle of Raasay. Scottish Gaelic is a very beautiful language which I hope never dies out. Scotland as a whole is beautiful though.
I got so excited when I saw you did a video of Scotland! I definitely don’t wanna fall asleep. Visited there for the first time last summer and I can’t wait to go back!

I lived in Shetland for a good few years. Moved from fife. Love and miss that place. Also a fun fact
Shetland is 12 miles closer to Norway (Bergen) than it is to the mainland of Scotland
The moment at the end where you brushed the castle postcard with a wide brush was so nice 🥺🥺❤️❤️ it was like a visual trigger, loved it!!

As a side note, the Scots came from Ireland when they settled in what is now Argyll so I'm guessing that's how the Roman name came over. I'm also guessing that's where our Gaelic came from.

I played as Scotland in my last Europa Universalis campaign :) I don't know if you've tried the game, but a track called 'Alba' is my favourite piece of its soundtrack. I can definitely recommend googling and listening to it :)
