In your "out the door went" list you forgot one very important name... when an Alain Prost, personified patience in Formula 1, is taking flight, then you know, things are well past redemption. And let's not forget Cyril, who saw it all coming when Laurent Rossi was put in charge ... the notion of making Alpine the "French Ferrari" is just sooo absurd.

I'm pretty sure Alpine started deviating from their 100-race plan more than 20 races ago. That's part of their problem: they make a long-term plan, and then when they're barely halfway through it they scrap it and start all over again. They come up with a long-term plan but don't even stick with it long enough to really give it a chance to work, despite wasting all that time and money. The team with a rich history of success in Formula 1 has completely forgotten how the sport works at the most basic level. They have managed to make themselves look like the most inept outfit on the grid.

Renault needs to sell the team to Andretti. This is absolutely the worst managed team in F1. From the Team Principal and up, it’s chaos! It will only get worse for Alpine before it gets better. They are a works team who just cannot engineer a productive and competitive PU! As Cam would say, ‘oh the humanity’

I was never much of a fan of Otmar, but at least he understood that success in F1 takes time. I suspect that a number of decisions were being made over his head and they expected him to bear the brunt of the consequences (such as the Piastri fiasco). I feel like they replaced him with Famin mostly because Famin is French and would likely follow orders better than Otmar.

C'mon Cameron, you know that Max doesn't want any competition on his own team right? Checo fits as a #2 so I am sure Marko and Max were okay with tacking on another year for him. IMHO

    • @SanchezS1998
      @SanchezS1998 6 місяців тому +1

Checo’s strongest years were as Max’s wingman, so I’m wondering if they’re hoping his performance will improve if he willingly takes on that role again especially as the competition heats up.

@@SanchezS1998 I think that 2025 represents the last year of the RB20 so it would be simpler just to let Checo see it through to the end, and then re-invent Max's new partner in for the 2026 change going forward (provided Max stays that is). So I view the extension the easier path for Red Bull at this point for 2025

I like Ocon and his story to F1 but his is a classic example of taking it too far. It eventually bit him in the ass and ruined his reputation. The tale of the tape is all over you tube.

Hey Cameron i always feel Renault will bring some heroes into formula one and when they left the entire team falls.
In 80's they had GOAT prost in their team and when he left the renault fall down'
In 90's they rebranded as bennetton and brought Schumacher into the team and when he left entire team falls down
In 2000s Flavio found a goat Fernando and when both went away at 2009 team falled.
I think Renault must be better their game at scouting program

For now the George Russell PowerPoint pres is a skill that I don't have, at least not without some serious speech disfluency. For that extra 5pc of having the stuff on screen I think I'd lose 20pc in engagement. I did put up screen shots a couple months back. Took them off the next video and no one seemed to notice 😞

Ah that's interesting, it makes me think It it could be bc your set is so dark, which is really nice btw, but say you were to put screenshots of a bright white website for example, it would be jarring and distracting for viewers, even to the extent it hurts their eyes
I mainly watch your videos in the evenings and at night, so now I think, if you did flash a white screen shot, I'd hate it..
the only way it would work is if you only showed the content in dark mode I guess lol
On a side note it makes me wonder if your viewing figures are mostly in the day or night 🤔 If you can see that in analytics it would confirm or squash what I'm saying
Also I think timing is a huge thing, e.g. how long it stays on screen for, I think under 6 seconds is the sweet spot before it becomes distracting, it's just as long as it's not abrasive or intrusive, it comes in gently, the light doesn't blind the audience, it just needs to communicate context and that it's a real thing being said, it's also important for a historical context, when people watch later down the line

The French have always been one tone extra chauvinistic people… They thought putting Esteban Ocoff and Pierre Gasly on paper would make them extra strong and unified as an all French squad, well….
They couldn’t possibly be further apart from the truth.
And them being absolutely wrong sacking Otmar Szafnauer who himself made the mistake of leaving Aston Martin behind for a role as Team Captain for the French powerhouse of cards (that was never within reach of success even if they had been given a team of counselors and mental coaches there would have been internal/eternal struggles.)

Ocon's not a" patsy". I belive him when he says in his statment that he wanted to go, we can also see that from how he's been blatantly signaling for other team seats for a while now!
Yes theres probaly more going on behind the sceens, cos it was'nt the worst thing Ocon has ever done ! I feel Bruno Famin simply lost his temper publicly to the French press, in an unprofessional way - how much more unprofessional has he been behind the sceens!

Is everyone daft. Why is no one criticizing the FIA for taking twelve seconds and six corners to bring out the Red Flag. This is incompetence on a grand scale. Let’s all back off of Ocon, a little. Come to Indy, Esteban; we will welcome you with open arms into the most exciting racing series on the planet. There’s more action in the first three laps of ANY Indy race than in an entire F1 race. This is beyond argument.

Alpine needs to be sold out to Andretti, I thought Gene should be there run of form lately and his withdrawal from NASCAR maybe he will invest more into the F1 project and see that hes held a golden ticket that he really hasn't deserved for quite awhile so maybe it's time to take it seriously. Alpine though that 100 race plan we've been hearing needs to be binned there's no way unless they reset it😂 just sell to Andretti and let him turn things around with GM and Cadillac onboard. Now I can't stand the fact Checo is able to hold a seat hostage just because mexico buy this clowns merch, Redbull need to say oh well buy his old merch just because he's from Mexico they're supporting this man who isn't worthy, get off it mexico..I'm American and I'll tell you right now im not out buying Logan merch and supporting him no quite the opposite I don't think he deserves the drive either. Yuki and Carlos should absolutely be considered for that second seat at Redbull.

Just took a ride this morning in my friend’s new Cadillac CTS-V and man let me tell you, if they can build a production engine like this that is reliable enough to sell with a 100% bumper to bumper warranty to the general public, I am convinced they (GM) are able to make a very very capable F1 engine. That may be why some of these other factories are worried about allowing Andretti into the party with the General Motors engine support. Until today I haven’t ever driven a production vehicle with more than 640 HP off the showroom floor. I had a 1970 Dodge Charger RT with a 440ci big block under the hood, but loads of modifications to get it to deliver more than 700HP, but that car didn’t roll off the production line with barely half of that. I have no idea why F1 doesn’t welcome some new blood into the gene pool as it will increase their viewer base and provide some renewed competition between the different established players that have delivered some not so exciting racing over the last three years very consistently. Yawn. The last couple races have been better, but the endless domination makes for a fairly uninteresting race format. Outside of driver drama there isn’t much to really talk about lately. F1 needs to let Andretti/Cadilac into the party and shake things up a little bit to keep me interested, because until the last couple races have been kinda yawn inducing. And if they get an engine like the car I drive this morning, omg, it will indeed be something to behold.

I’m saying this as a fan of what you do for a living mate, but if you ever bring up , like you did at 22:30 , an f1 game and the suspension viability in design of a modern car, anyone with a sliver of f1 knowledge will lose respect for you mate. This isn’t an exaggeration either , that was the most ridiculously uneducated thing you have ever said.
As someone who has been lucky enough to get a couple of bucks fro driving race cars albeit gt cars not formula , I understand the concepts and designs of a race car and do know a tiny bit about the subject and driving cars faster than the average human.
So that hurt my ears to listen too.
You have said only about 3 stupid things in the years of doing this so like I said I respect what you do for a living putting out this content and I do really like your takes and passion about this incredible sport.
But saying George “will undoubtedly be a world champion” is laughable when there are 7 better drivers on the grid currently and Kimi, Theo, OB coming through which are better drivers on every level at there age, they just are. All things equal the younger driver club Charles, Oscar, Lando and Max are also too better, in every single aspect. George has zero chance of becoming this world champion your continuing to parrot to your audience.
Much love and respect but an apology to all our ears will be greatly appreciated for that dribble ❤
