Yep. Not going to happen. Junior Stroll is set for life as long as Daddy Stroll is still in control of the team. Why is it you never see Lance own up to his his mistakes? Because he knows he doesn't have too. He knows that there's no threat to lose his seat.

@@TheSlowoldman I mean they're from the same hometown how many people get to say they were born and raised in the same city and met the person before they were famous who would go on to become statistically one of the best athletes ever in the sport they cover? It's okay to be proud of people you grew up with who represent your city. If you grew up with Lionel Messi it would be understandable if you were more inclined to like Lionel Messi than Christiano Ronaldo...everyone would understand that.
I hope Ocon, K Mag, and Sargent get the boot. I don't like how F2 winners aren't getting in. It's time for some new blood. Look at Oscar. He's got a chance to be a race winner this year.

We must have been watching different Grand Prix, because Monaco with it's four overtakes and 70+ processional laps can't be called a race.

The field was always going to converge but didn’t see it turning out the way it has. Red bull are looking a bit rattled and are clearly having to work a lot harder this year than last. There advantage was so huge last year they were winning at a canter and not having to stretch the car. I still think max will do the WDC again this year but the constructors is definitely up for grabs.

@@wexfordrob Anything but that. Please. In fact, I'm already tired of Max winning. I'd like to see close racing and many drivers winning races. I've been watching since the 80s and in the last 20 yrs the technology has allowed drivers to dominate for way too long. Schumacher, Vettel, Hamilton and now Max. Yes they are great drivers but their cars were much faster than everybody else most of the time. Especially Mercedes.

Ocon has never been a Team player. I think he has a chip on his shoulder because of his background and the sacrifices his family made. And now he's blown it and he has nobody to blame but himself.
Ive gotta say, watching the Monaco crash from Gasly's onboard, Ocon was ahead, and Gasly knew he was there. Gasly should have backed out because Ocon was ahead.....Im no Ocon fan (at all), but I believe he got a raw deal aftetrwards.
@@RichardMcLaren Maybe so, but it's a very unforgiving sport. I think Alpine saw disloyalty from him earlier this year when he was clearly trying to get a Merc seat. Those things should be done away from the media and despite their poor performance, Gasly has remained loyal. And to a struggling team loyalty is key. Ocon has blown it and other teams will probably look at that, and his history, as a red flag. 👊
Too much middlin' talent on the grid that has to go (Riccardo, Stroll, Hulkenberg, Magnusson, Sargeant) with great talent that should be replacing them (Lawson, Doohan, Drugovich, Porchaire, Vesti, etc.) AND Yuki deserves a better seat.

I agree with all of this with the exception of Hulkenberg. He has been having very solid performances at Haas and he definitely deserves a few more years in the sport. But overall yes, a lot of talent is being wasted waiting on the sidelines!
Ricciardo is not middlin talent he's one of the most successful drivers on the current grid. He's just not at his best currently he needs more from the car towards his needs.

Bottas should leave and give some young talent a chance. He had his chances in the best car on the grid and flushed them. He’ll become the new Kimi, a personality on grid but bringing nothing to the table in terms of driving and motivation, and sadly I think he’d be happy to do it.

Carlos is a better driver than Lewis right now
Sainz will be with Audi. Due to the following reasons:
1. Its a Works Team
2. It's a dominant force in Motorsport
3. No one is more determined than an Audi Engineer
4. Andrea Siedl
5. Carlos Sainz Sr. connection to Audi
6. From Start Audi will be a more powerful brand than Williams (in its current form)
7. Helmut Marko admitted that Redbull wanted to sign Sainz but admitted he couldn't manage to match the Audi offer.
8. Audi has more resource and more talent than the likes of Williams, Haas, Alpine and Racing Bulls.
9. Sainz can draw encouragement from the Aston Martin Story.
Irrelevant to British Day Dreaming Sainz is enroute to Audi for the aforesaid reasons.

Sainz not getting an Mercedes or RB seat would be such a shame which both teams hopefully pay in loosing contructor positions. I kinda get Mercedes with Antonelli IF he has an impressive F2 season but RB with checo… I like checo but other than politics or money based keeping him doesn’t make sense at all.

Tsunoda to Aston Martin as a Honda driver and Alonso to Alpine makes perfect sense...
Alonso can stay and partner with tsunoda. Yuki far more deserving of a seat in f1 than lance. He is an embarrassment and but for his dad he would have been dumped out of f1 years ago. F1 has lost many more deserving drivers than him over the years.

Alonso has already announced a new contract with Aston Martin. Alpine are falling apart......They'll be up for sale by the end of the year and Andretti will buy.
The Riccardo details are always missed. Said there was a chassis issue, they replace it and he was fast again. He was taken out by Albon in a race. It’s more complicated than “he’s slow”

Watched the video with Ocon's teammate clashes and genuinely out of the 8-10 incidents, 2 are his fault outright, the rest are either 50/50 or not his fault. I think it's a harsh tag he's been given, but one which will be difficult to shake.

These teams need loads of cash to operate and they rely on both drivers to work together in order to accomplish this.

I thought Alpine already had all these celebrity investors? What happened to them? Also doesn’t investors not matter so much when there is a cost cap. Fair enough if they are under the cost cap and can’t reach it and need the investors to get there. But I doubt that. Also do you mean investors for other things that are not in the cost cap. I am assuming things like development into the factory etc is not in the cost cap rules?

money will always be a problem at Williams and so does their infrastructure back home and the way they are able to develop a car and get replacement parts.

this is all hopeium until you see a 3 way battle on a race no suited to for the redbull. baring in mind there are only about 6 tracks not suited for the redbull and all the close races thus far have been on those tracks.

Zhou Guanyu takes Ocon's seat. 2) Red Bull sells VCARB to the GM/Andretti group. 3) Toyota becomes the works partner for Haas - who gets additional support from Tony Stewart (Stewart-Haas Racing ... NASCAR >> F1). Yuki and Bottas are the driver line-up.

What is the difference between the above two and the following:

Aston Martin
Mercedes
The difference is:
Any and all updates that Mclaren, Ferrari and Alpine brings on their cars are instantly successful, while the updates Rebdull, Aston Martin and Mercedes are at sea with their updates.
Hence, isn't it plausible that Mclaren, Ferrari and Alpine have beaten the Budget Cap through their respective involvements in Indy and WEC?

The Renault engine is the death of any modern F1 car.

If Ocon drops out of F1, I quit watching what is no longer a sport of risk and bold choices but a show a la professional wrestling. I'm not interested in a comedy where results are almost pre-defined. There is a huge hypochrisy in that if it was supposed to be a team sport all the way, as many say nowadays, then why on eath do you need a drivers championship? Just do a constructors championship and that'll solve all problems, right? Drivers championship is completely worthless if you remove the capability of teammates battles and attacks, because it is defined by car performance 99% of the time. There is a lot more margin of performance between two cars that between the best and worst driver on the grid.
Anyway, not that anybody would care, but I've been folliowing F1 since the early 90s and Ocon is probably the last of these guys I have some empathy for. I'm not fond of the rich daddy's boys fashion.

We always see and judge a driver on championship points, not as a whole team.
I get the driver championship, but maybe there is too much emphasis on that.
95% of F1 drivers actually deserve that seat because of their abilities, experience, and consistency, yet they get yeeted to the bin faster than mum throws slipper.
Stroll is a classic example of the should first to be booted from an F1 seat, but alas that will never happen.

He is a good driver, but in this business you have to work as team player, something Ocon doesn't understand at all. His only option is Haas or do something else.
