I actually think your diy swag is better than the inspiration picture. The addition of the quail feathers put it over the top. Great job!
Me too! I think, Yours looks so much more gorgeous Rachel!
I agree, over the top!
Aww, thank you Tiedyedsouthernfried! I went back and forth on the feathers for a bit, but really ended up loving them!
Thank you Miss Sherry!
True. Yours look more chic I love it
No doubt about it! Your versions of the decorations far outdo the original . I think it's because they are made with Love.
Oh yes and I love your idea to put white doilies under your village to create a snowscape.
Thank you!
It just seemed "right". The delicate texture was better than the flat quilt batting. Thank you for visiting today and have a Merry Christmas!
Rub and Buff is the greatest invention of all time 😀
Haha! I must agree Miss Jennifer!
Oh, I love it all! If I must choose a favorite, it would probably be the sleigh bell swag. It is GORGEOUS!
Aww, thank you Miss Tessa!
Merry Christmas!🎄
All of your projects are beautiful love the the wreath and the door swag. They are just beautiful. The horse is adorable. Thank you for sharing!🌲⛄️🎄🦌
Thank you Miss Sylvia!

Mrs Rachel, I loved the swag. Beautiful!!! I thrift an English cottage villiage this year. I also fould the people to go with it..A lovely addition to our decor. The background that you have behind yours is wonderful. I have found some lovely decor this year at the thrift store.I found some items I remember from my grandparents homes. Thank you much for sharing your dyi.. they are so helpful and inspiring.
Good morning Romantic Style!
Your English cottage village sound positively magical! Aren't thrift shops a blessing?! Thanks for visiting today and have a blessed Christmas! 🎄
I love the door swag and it looks SOOO much better than the 168.00 one!!! I also love the tapestry behind the beautiful village and the horse is very cute!
Thank you, Miss Ilene!
I'm glad you enjoyed the projects and your visit. Thanks for stopping by & Merry Christmas!
Rachel, your wreath and your bell swag were, by far, BETTER than the inspiration pics! Truly lovely ideas on all of them!
Thank you for your kind encouragement! Both projects ended up being favorites and even got me to thinking about a sugared fruit garland for next year. Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed Christmas!🎄
Loved all these dupes and your wreath so much prettier. Am just starting to decorate and this was so inspiring, have a blessed day.
Thank you Miss Marlene, I'm happy you picked up some useful inspiration. Have a lovely day decorating and have a blessed Christmas!🎄
You knocked it out of the park in this one .. our tree is still decorated from last year. ( Something my dad used to do). Just have to put it on a rolling cart and bring it into the living room It is covered with a light tan sheet with clips to hold it on in the front bedroom...NOT doing any projects...having full knee replacement on this coming Monday the 28th of November.. .. We are ages 81 and myself, 79...so would appreciate prayers please. Thank you ❤️
Glad you enjoyed your visit!
Prayed your knee replacement would go well. Have a Merry Christmas!
Pretty decor, Rachel. All the ideas are so simple and elegant.
Thank you Miss Polly!
And thanks for visiting today!
Love the swag! I do like the feathers, though I like it without too. I really really love the horse! I think I would paint mine with a whitewash, but the raw wood is fab too!
Good morning Miss Kim!
Glad you like the swag. Yes, I'd considered a whitewash on the horse as well... who knows he may get another "new" look one of these days. Thanks for visiting today and Merry Christmas!
Of course all your makeovers are gorgeous, but they always are. And Matt did a good job stripping all the shellac off. Everything is looking gorgeous ❤️
Thank you Miss Sharen,
Matt is a blessing! We're glad you enjoyed your visit. Have a Merry Christmas!
Just wanted to pop in for days now to let you know that your videos just have brought me smiles, peace, and your gentle spirit has settled mine down to love of my home, and what I'm going to be able to do again. I've been horribly ill for several weeks and couldn't write from my sick bed.
But, today I'm a little improved, sitting up in my chair, bundled in my quilt, with my lovely lemon/ginger tea.. thank you for all you both do, and need I say....just lovely, perfect projects!!! I so respect all the prep and everything you do to make them perfect for us as well....your home is stunning!
Good morning Miss Joann!
I've saved your comment until I had time for a proper response. I'm so glad to hear you are feeling better, and loving your home more! There is nothing quite like being in your own cozy home snuggled under a quilt with a cup of hot tea. It is encouraging to hear how much you enjoy your visits to our little cottage. Our goal is to inspire, make interior design affordable, and "do-able". Without Matt's help there wouldn't even be a channel! He is amazing when it comes to figuring out the "technical difficulties", and strategizing to make the most of our filming, editing, and topic selection. We are excited about next year and very glad to have you along for the ride! Have a blessed Christmas! 🎄😊

You have achieved your goals ❣
I really love the doorhanger. Beautiful. The addition of the pheasant feathers certainly gives it a Victorian flair. Well done!!
Glad you enjoyed your visit, thanks for stopping by!
So pretty, I think you nailed the high end dupes! I love them all. I especially love that tapestry background for the village and the crochet "snow", it's perfect! Thanks for the ideas.
Good morning Miss Bonnie!
I'm glad you enjoyed your visit! The Alpine tapestry was an unexpected discovery that makes all the difference in the village. Crochetted snow just seemedl ike the best choice! We're glad you stopped by & Merry Christmas! 🌲
The door wreath is beautiful. The tapestry behind your village is amazing.
Good morning Miss Linda!
I'm glad you enjoyed the projects, thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day!

Hi Rachel. Another wonderful and inspiring video! I agree with many of the others' comments. I like your swag better. Prettier ribbon and those adorable feathers! ❤️
Thank you Miss Patricia!
We appreciate you dropping by to visit today!
Hello Miss Rachel
These are all so beautiful. I think I like the jingle bells best.
I'm glad you enjoyed the projects! Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed Christmas! 🎄
Glorious Day to hear from you Rachel! I loved the sleigh bells, the spray paint and then the rub n buff...they look perfectly aged! (Your version looks better). The pheasant feathers, the ribbon, and how I laughed when you watched a "bow" tutorial! I just did this last night!
I enjoyed the village, I have also used lace and crochet pieces to allow a time period affect for the snow. It is so pretty. You have done a beautiful job. So much, I wish I could live there.
As your Idaho friend, Matt did an amazing job on the horse, you also did an amazing job adorning her, I say her...if you any any of the blue velvet ribbon left, I would carry this from the "mouth" bit, up and over her head, just between her eyes and the rocking handles...what do you think?
I always enjoy hearing from you, your tastes, efforts in everything you do, and the love you put in to everything you create. Please keep them coming, my heart jumps when knowing I can watch a video from you all! Much love and tender memories for the Christmas Season...
Lina🥰
Good evening Miss Lina!
Happy to hear you enjoyed your visit and the projects today. I did play around with more ribbon for the horse's halter, but decided simple was best. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and visit. May you and your family have a blessed Christmas! 🎄
Wonderful and beautiful, they look better than the inspiration pieces. Many blessings for the holiday season.
Thank you Miss Patricia!
Thanks for visiting today and have a blessed Christmas! 🎄

Thank you Mrs. Ben.

Oh your's is much better!!! I'm never disappointed in you sweet lady!!
Rachel, you just keep inspiring! Nice high end projects. I love the ribbon for the bell swag, and you did a great job on the bow! I think Christmas villages are so good for the imagination. You have collected some interesting pieces. The backdrop really does add interest. Great job, my friend!
Yay, I'm glad you were inspired!
The bow was a challenge, but worth the persistence. The village is one of my favorite projects ~ it's even more magical when the houses are lit! Thanks for stopping by today and have a blessed Christmas! 🌲
Hi Rachel and Family! Hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving , I so much look forward to your videos!! Bless you

The diy swag , look much better the inspiration home , I love the horse diy came beautiful
Thank you Miss Elizabeth!
I'm glad you enjoyed the projects. Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day!
Your DIYs are inspiring. I agree that sometimes you need to consider thrifted over new to create a balanced look. Sure, the thrifted greens might have been fine but your final swag was way more than fine, it was exceptional. I agree with another who said your swag was nicer than the original. Tfs.
Good morning Miss Jenn!
I'm glad you found the DIY projects inspiring. Thanks for stopping by!
Awww!! Miss Rachel!! The jingle bells swag is just perfect!! My favorite one!
Thank you for sharing your diy projects!
Merry Christmas for you and your family!
Love from The Upper Peninsula in Michigan 💝

Great idea about the tapestry back drop for your alpine village.

The pheasant feathers( easier to type, than say😃) are the perfect touch and I love the way you used the Crochet pieces. I know I will copy that next year! Really love everything here! Also, Thanks so much, for the Command hook tip. I'll be shopping for that one. Joyous Christmas to you two.
Yay! It's such fun to know other you picked up some useful inspiration Miss Judy. Merry Christmas to you and yours too!
I like your door hanging best because of the pheasant feathers, they really made it for me. Having that tapestry behind the village pieces is genius! I do something similar with an embroidery picture of a doe and fawn. I have it on the floor with plants arranged around it, like they're in a forest. You have such a good eye for decorating.
I'm glad you enjoyed your visit!
Aren't thrift store finds the best?! Your forest vignette sounds lovely, thanks for stopping by today. Merry Christmas!
Rachel, you did a fantastic job on each of the doups. I loved them all.
Yay, glad you enjoyed your visit, Miss Sandy!
Love the swag and the village, so beautiful. All your projects are just so Pretty. Thank you...
Thank you so much!
I'm loving red and white transferware and am on the hunt. I found two Spode Christmas plated in Guthrie today. It felt like a hug from heaven.
I love your display.
Yay for finding thrifted transferware! Thanks for stopping by Miss Bonnie!
I love the swag with bells that you did, and it is my favorite of the higher/lower comparisons, since you can create it with your own choice of ribbon and embellishments. I also love the sugared fruit wreath, especially the price at about 1/10 the cost of the dupe.
Good evening Miss Dolores!
I'm glad you found some useful inspiration from your visit today! The swag project turned out to be one of my favorites as well. Thanks for visiting us today!
Rachel, you've done a FANTASTIC JOB on your DIY projects! 🙌. Loving that Sugar Coated Wreath and that Swag!! They look SO BEAUTIFUL!!! 😍😍😍😍 Well done my Friend!! 🎄😘🎄
Aww, thanks for your kind words of encouragement, Miss Trudy! We appreciate you stopping by to visit. Have a blessed Christmas!

Everything turned out so pretty! The fruit wreath turned out amazing! And the wooden horse is adorable! Great DIYs for a cottage Christmas! God bless you my friend! ❤
Hello Stephanie!
I'm glad you liked the sugared fruit wreath and vintage rocking horse. Its always such fun to share DIY projects with this group that enjoys making things. God bless you and your family! Merry Christmas!🎄
I loved your DIY’s 🎉. My favorites were the wreaths and the bell wreath I need to watch the videos on how to make ribbon bows. The little rocking horse is so cute. You really have a way with putting these decorations together. I usually put up what I’ve bought Year after year. I do have a few boxes of things I put out every so often. Thank you for all the wonderful ideas Janet 😘
Thank you for your kind words, Miss Janet! There is a bow making tutorial linked for you below my video if that helps. I hope you found some useful inspiration for your decorating this year. Thanks for stopping by to visit and have a blessed Christmas!🎄
Excellent dupes! It's amazing what you can with some thrifted pieces and creativity. My favorite was the swag. Yours was better than the picture 😁💕👍
Glad you enjoyed your visit!
Thanks for stopping by!
Thank you Rachel. Will get my wreath revamped as you have done. Brilliant. Cheers
Yay!
Glad you found some useful inspiration!
I love your DIY better than the original 🌲
Thank you!
Hi Rachel! I have to say the jingle bell project was my favorite. Your previous video helped me determined what my cottage style was (last year I purchased the Woodland Spode - one each month - for Thanksgiving). Can't wait to see your decor this year. The furniture piece that I envy is the drum side table, but now, since you got yours for free, I can't justify spending a lot on one and haven't come across any at resale stores.
Oh, how fun to have discovered your cottage style! You will enjoy the Woodland Spode dishes for year to come. It is a delight to unpack and use them every year! Thanks for stopping by to visit today and have a blessed Christmas!🎄
Thank you for the inspiration! I love when I want to craft something for our home.
Glad you found some useful inspiration Miss Cathy!
Thank you for your inspiration and much more…I always enjoy your content and scout out everything in the background of your house to get more ideas…😉 Your DIY projects are easy but impactful to the decor in the room.
Absolutely Miss Nilsa!
I'm glad you enjoy scoping out the background, hopefully you find then inspiring. Thanks for visiting and have a blessed Christmas!🎄
I look forward to seeing how you use your assembled pieces. Merry Christmas
We will be decorating together soon, Miss Sally! Have a Merry Christmas!
Great DIY loved the swag and the village houses stunning merry Christmas ❤️
Yay! Glad you picked up some Christmas decor inspiration!
Thanks for stopping by & have a blessed Christmas, Miss Doris.
Love the sleigh bell swag great job
Thank you!
Glad you found some useful inspiration!
Good morning, Ms. Rachel! So excited for this installment! I'm finishing up my Christmas decorating at the moment. Thank you in advance for sharing and inspiring. 🎄🎄🎄🎄 Bobbie. xoxo
Yay for perfect timing, Miss Bobbie! Have a lovely day decorating!
As always inspiring video. Wishing you and your a blessed and joy filled holiday season.
Thank you!
May you and yours have a blessed Christmas season as well!
Thank you for sharing these precious Christmas decor ideas. You inspire me! Happy Christmas, as the English say!
Absolutely!
So glad you were inspired and Happy Christmas to you too!🎄
Love this, and YOU!
Your style is lovely and so are you ☺️! I think the wreath could use a little more fruit to emphasize the “fruit factor” just a tad more.
Good morning Miss Fran!
I'm glad you enjoyed your visit! Thank you for the feedback, I did consider adding more, but ended up thinking simple was best. Have a lovely day!
Wonderful dupes! Great job!🎄
Thank you!
I think the sugared fruit wreath you made is prettier than the one from Balsam Hill.
Thank you Miss Christine!
We appreciate you stopping by and wish you a Merry Christmas!
Loved the swag but I would not use the feathers it just took the Christmas feel down some but just my opinion!
Love the feathers! I use them everywhere in my home, year round
Thanks for sharing and for stopping by!
Lovely!
Beautiful ideas!
Glad you enjoyed!
Thank you for stopping by!
I have enjoyed your videos for some time now. I live in a small cottage home and enjoy your ideas. Your jingle bell swag is nicer than the original. The rocking horse is sweet. Question, why not add ribbon under the horse's chin and up around it's head along with what you have? Either way it's very nice.
Hello there Miss Sharon!
I'm happy to know you've been enjoying our visits for a while now, that's delightful! I had considered adding more to the horse's bridle, but decided simple was best. Who knows, he may get another look next year. Thank you for your encouraging support of our channel; we appreciate you!
I think your $30 .00 swag is so much better, and I can't see that the other one or any for that matter would cost $169.00.
Glad you enjoyed how the swag turned out! It always feels great when you can get the look for less! Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day.
Everything you did was charming, thanks for sharing, I bought me a down feather decorative pillow, you said you just throw them in the washer and then the dryer? Thanks
Thank you Miss Susan!
Yes, I wash and dry the down pillows like regular laundry. Have a lovely evening.
@@StoneCottageHome thanks so much, you too
Rocking horse bridle needs to be re-worked.
Thanks for the feedback.
Have Merry Christmas!
