Full of charm! Rachel while all the item are so special I’d rethink the milk glass soap tray in the shower. Washing your hair you could bump & shatter it!😮😢. Take care dear lady. Love your ideas..especially the toile💖
I would say the tile with the sink. Then the milk glass and blue accents are all my favorite. Love the pedestal sink. It looks beautiful and cottage style.
Good morning, friends! This is the day! Today I’m excited to share with you the third and final part in our tiny cottage bathroom remodel series! We will be stocking & styling the bathroom ~ which means we need to go thrifting! Let me know if you have any tips on how to age our wicker laundry hamper, and which DIY project you enjoyed most!
Adding antique items on bathroom is a great idea I'm planning to do the same on my bathroom the blue color or powder blue is relaxing and soothing to the eyes I'm planning to paint my bathroom in baby blue or powder blue color with a mural of flying ducks accross a grass lake in silhouiette of pure white would be a lovely scene in my bathroom thanks for sharing your ideas it help a lot give us fresh ideas and utilize or adaptive reuse of old items
🙋 Love your bathroom remodel!! Love the blue and white & milk glass, also the picture above the commode and I wouldn't of thought to use the hamper for storage other than dirty clothes, what a great idea 💡 Thanks for sharing 🙂 Have a great day 🙂❤️🌹
Good morning, Miss Emilia! Thank you for your kind words, I'm enjoying the serene blue & white color scheme too. The wicker hamper has come in really handy and we actually have more storage than we had before. Thank you for stopping by and have a gorgeous weekend!
Wonderful, Miss Pat! I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit & got some inspiration from your visit today. Thanks for dropping by and have a gorgeous weekend!
Love the paintings behind you. I love the blue and white dishes clock creamer are faves and the pictures are Beautiful! The quilt behind you is soo pretty.
The lovely paper you attached to the inside of your medicine cabinet inside the master bathroom, is exactly what I've been looking for to put into our medicine cabinet as well, God bless your patience & good taste!!
The bathroom is absolutely beautiful!!! Rachael, you need your own show on TV for us "plain folk" that can't afford thousands to redo rooms. From your soothing voice to your amazing finds and style, what a hot show that would be!!
Good morning, Miss Vickie! It's a blessing to hear you are enjoying your "visits" to our home, and find it relatable to where you are in life. Most of us don't have thousands, but still enjoyed making our homes nice. Thank you for your kind words of encouragement and support. Have a lovely day.🌹
Oh my, you and Matt never fail to impress. Everything's come together so beautifully. It's so hard to pick a favourite, as I loved everything. It's always inspiring and a delight to watch your videos.
Bathroom makeover is lovely! As for silver or brass fixtures...silver stays very clean, new looking, while brass gets pitted, dulls or tarnishes more easily due to cleaning products. I think you could do brass plated glass door knobs, which looks very elegant. As for the shower door..there are tall bifold shower doors with thin black framed window panes...which would look so elegant in your bath and take up less floor space when you open shower door.
I LOVED your bathroom curtain. Thought if you wanted... you could add a narrow little toile blue ruffle at bottom of your scalloped curtain, which would make it longer for window...or attach narrow loops or blue ribbon at top, which would also extend curtain. The toile would match your basket liner, keeping with the blue/white toile look. You could even get a long tier ruffled curtain with a shower rod at top of your shower entrance, adding toile material at top so it visually extended to floor...and remove the shower door or hide it behind that flowing curtain. Or have the flowing, flimsy curtain held back with a 3" wide strip of toile and a button-holed tieback. The swoop of curtain at top of shower, would make short door gap disappear.
Hi Rachel, your bathroom makeover is beautiful! You and Matt did a wonderful job. My favorite is the blue and white pieces. I love how you added the blue material to your basket. I also love the mirror. Everything is just so pretty. I know you will enjoy your new bathroom!
Thank you, Miss Janet! We appreciate you stopping by, and I'm already looking forward to sharing more makeovers and DIY projects wit you. Have a lovely evening!
Good morning, Miss Tessa! I'm so happy you enjoyed your visit. The clock, curtains, and painting are on the top of the list for me. Thank you for stopping by to visit!
So many wonderful thrift finds! That blue & white clock! I think the mouthwash decanter and C&E crock are too pretty to put behind a closed cupboard door 😍 But, oh my, how fun to open that tiny medicine cabinet and see those PERFECT milk glass containers corralling necessities!
For pretty and practical, Since you get ready for work in this bath, I think the little clock wins my vote! The wallpaper backing the shelves gets my vote for simple pretty! ❤️
I totally agree, Miss Linda! The clock is gorgeous & the wallpaper is like opening a package every day! Thank you for visiting to day and sharing your thoughts. Have a lovely weekend!
I love all the toile touches. As well as the beautiful color on your walls. And the sweet embroidered linen that you made into your sweet curtain. Thank you so much for the inspiration. Blessings
Good morning, Miss Kelly! I'm so glad you enjoyed you visit today! Reading and responding to my guests comments is one of the highlights of my job! Thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. Have a gorgeous weekend!
Oh Rachel! Everything looks lovely 😍. My favorite is the milk glass pieces. I have a very big milk glass collection and this has given me ideas on how to use them in different ways. I do have a piece of milk glass in every room styled in one way or another. I Have enjoyed watching all of the makeovers and look forward to more!
Good afternoon, Miss Irma! Isn't milk glass wonderful?! I've used it in many places in our home. I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit today! Thanks for dropping by and have a gorgeous weekend!
Wow Rachel! Love that bathroom! You must be a graceful showerer... I'd probably knock that gorgeous soap dish off the shelf and it would shatter into a hundred pieces! But I am a clutz! I always love watching your videos and love your style!
Haha! Well, so far so good, the soap dish is intact! I appreciate your support and am looking forward to our next visit together. Have a glorious weekend!
I have always wanted to do a cottage style blue and white bathroom for our master bath. My husband watched part of your redo and decorating today and said, "I really like the blue and white - let's do it!" Because he is Dutch I have been collecting Delft for 45 years. I also have a milk glass collection already. Currently, my bath and master bedroom is the same mauve? color paint that was here when we moved in. While it is not my favorite, I was able to decorate a pretty bath with my pink depression glass and white shabby furniture - but I am ready for a change. Thank you for the inspiration.
Good evening, Miss Patti! Oh, it's so rewarding to know this visit may have helped and inspired my guests to create the spaces they love! With the lovely Delft and milk glass collections you'll have no trouble creating a unique, exquisite master bath! I SO wish there was a way to see what the two of you come up with! Thank you for dropping by today and sharing your plans ~ feel free to update me on your project, if you wish!
Hello sweet friend both of your hard work shows beautifully love your bathroom it's gorgeous. Thanks for all the inspiration you have given me. I have started making new pillow covers for my couch and instead of just plain square pillows I added a ruffle around them and I love them to me it brings back old school charm in 2 months I will be 60 so I am old school I know it will be 35 years or more before you see 60. Sweet friend I hope you and your family have a blessed day and a wonderful weekend and thanks for all the inspiration you have given this old woman.❤🤗❤
Good afternoon! I'm glad you enjoyed your visit today & found some inspiration - that's exciting! Thank you for stopping by and for your kind words. Have a lovely weekend!
Never disappointed Rachel & Matt! I love to watch the new things you come up with, my favorite here has to be the oil painting, it sets the whole space for calming the senses. As does the milk glass, all so beautiful! I did want to mention, I never would have noticed the height of the shower door, but understand how you may want to one day change this. As far as the fixture colors, I would never notice because I am busy admiring the blue and white, the towels, soaps, etc. Thank you for letting us all hear from you again.🥰
Yay, glad you enjoyed your visit today, Miss Lina! I'm with you, the painting is among my favorites as well and does set the tone for the room. You know, we've been enjoying the bathroom for awhile now and have ceased to notice the height of the shower door, or the fixture colors. It's all a part of the design process - and this was our first bath to remodel! Thanks for stopping by and sharing your kind thoughts, and encouragement. Have a gorgeous weekend!
Your bathroom remodel turned out so nicely. I especially loved the mirror! Your comments re: using mood boards on pinterest for planning specific projects was also a great tip. Thank you for sharing another inspiring video!
Good afternoon, Miss Beth! I'm so glad you found the tips for planning out a design project helpful & inspiring! I really appreciate when my guests let me know what is helpful, this helps me know what to include in future visits. Thank you and have a gorgeous weekend!
Good morning, Miss Vivian! Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed how everything turned out ~ the serene color palette is one of our favorite things about this space. We plan to carry the same feeling/color scheme to our master bedroom as well. Thanks for stopping by & have a lovely weekend!
Rachel and Matt, you did a beautiful job on the bathroom. It may be the prettiest bathroom I have ever seen. I love everything about it. The tile insert in the shower , the use of milk glass , and the picture over the toilet are my favorites. I just recently found your channel and I am obsessed with your videos. I think I have watched them all. You have such a sweet spirit and calming presence. I look forward to all the projects you will share in the future.
Good morning and welcome to the Stone Cottage Home family, Miss Rebecca! We are thrilled to have you along! I'm glad you enjoyed how the bathroom turned out. The painting is one of my favorite features as well. Thank you for your kind comments and support. We do have more DIY projects and remodel/makeovers in the works. Glad you found us & have a gorgeous weekend!
Good morning, Rachel! So happy to see the bathroom 's beautiful & budget friendly finishing touches ! Every single detail is simply perfect. I adore the blue and white clock. Also, I am weak when it comes to toile anything.❤ Well done, as always. Thank you for sharing & inspiring. -Bobbie. xoxo
Good morning, Miss Bobbie! So glad you enjoyed the style ~ I love the toile too! We are happy with how it came out and Matt's really happy it's finally done! Thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. May you have a gorgeous weekend!
Rachel, it turned out truly CHARMING! I think the use of blue and the white from milk glass give it such a calming feel but your touches add the best personality to it! It is SO well done! The pros far outweigh the cons!😊❤️
Good morning, Chick in Charge! I'm glad you enjoyed your visit this morning! I agree with you, the pros far exceed the cons in this bathroom reno & I'm loving the milk glass touches too! Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts!
Well as gorgeous as your bathroom is, the wallpaper inside the medicine cabinet was my favorite take away! I will never think of a medicine cabinet the same way, so beautifully organized and decorated! Great job! XoxoMarjorie ❤️👍
Good morning! I really like the containers you have used. It has inspired me to do this too. Art on the wall also is so lovely. Also the vintage curtains are a great DIY. I have been looking for some for my bathroom. Thank you for sharing your beautiful bathroom with us. Have a blessed day!
Good afternoon, Miss Brigid! I'm thrilled you found your visit today inspiring! I'm hoping my guests can take these ideas and adapt them to their own homes and styles. Thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts!
What a beautiful bathroom makeover! I love the vintage mirror over the sink, so much better than a plain, flat mirror stuck to the wall! I also adore that blue and white clock, I'd love to find one like it for the mantel in our bedroom. Thanks for the inspiration.
Good evening, Miss Bonnie! Thank you! Yes, the vintage wood mirror really does makes a difference doesn't it?! If you're a thrifter, then something similar may turn up. Thanks for stopping by & have a lovely evening.
Good morning, Miss Sarah! Yes, the new clear bottles are pretty & fun to use. Since I usually switch between a couple different shampoo brands I bought more of the clear bottles and transferred the other brand to a pretty clear bottle ready to use when the other one is empty. Thanks for stopping by & have a glorious weekend!
Your bathroom looks lovely! I love the soothing colors and tile! You found some beautiful second hand and new items, and you're very crafty with the sewing! So pretty!
Good evening, Miss Dolores! I'm glad you enjoyed how the bathroom turned out, thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. Have a lovely evening!
What an awesome way to start your day!! I love all of the blue and white airy feel and the transformation of that shower is spectacular!!! I didn't even notice the height of the shower door until you pointed it out...LOL!!!😁❣
Good afternoon, Miss Ilene! Glad you like the blue and white, we are loving the shower too! I think you're right, the shorter door doesn't really stand out that much. Thanks for stopping by to visit!
Oh I just love Tuesday Morning, too, sometimes I find things for a better deal than the thrift store, love all your pretty treasures, you worked your magic 🪄 with your diys, I love your blue outfit, your bathroom turned out so beautifully, I am in love with it all, thanks so much for another wonderful video, can't wait for the next one
Hi, Miss Susan! Yes, Tuesday Morning is great for bath soaps and lovely stationery. I'm glad you enjoyed today's visit, it was a pleasure to have you along. Thanks for dropping by and have a wonderful weekend!
It’s beautiful! I had that sink in two of my previous homes and I love love love it! And the mirror is lovely! The milk glass is a gorgeous touch! You have a lovely special space! Thank you for sharing❤️
Those blue and white ship dishes, so lovely! The gold clock, the floral art work by the clocks, that adorable blue and white clock….all so beautiful! I just love the fabric you found too. So many beautiful finds thrifting, antiquing and gathering from around your home. I “aged” a basket by simply doing a wash of white over it. I used 1 part water to 1 part paint and dry brushed it on. Absolutely love the way your bathroom turned out.
Good morning, Miss Robin! So glad you liked the pieces we found for decorating the bathroom. Thanks for the wicker aging tips! I appreciate you stopping by. Have a lovely weekend!
Your bathroom looks beautiful! I love the blue & white toile. I have lots of milk glass that belonged to my mother, now I think I may incorporate them in my home. I would add a few dots of the sticky wax dots (for candles-available on Amazon) to the feet of the lovely soap dish, sitting on the back of the toilet so it doesn’t get bumped & crash on the tile! I use them for lots of things. Thanks for the inspiration!
Good evening, Miss Vicky! Wonderful tip on the wax dots, thank you! I'm glad to hear you found some ideas for using your Mother's milk glass. What a treasure! I appreciate you stopping by and sharing your kind words of encouragement!
I love the bath re-do, and I love you and thank you: for mentioning the Crabtree and Evelyn name. I have been trying for some time to recall the brandname of a glycerine based lotion that I loved many years ago, to no avail. Until today!!! Deepest thanks from this forgetful senior!
Awww! Miss Rachel, the findings are great! I wish I had those stores here where I live. All the details, the hard work that you and your husband Matt have done, the amount of love and dedication in every project are an inspiration!! Thank you for sharing! Love for you and your husband 💖
Good morning, Miss Lorena! So happy you like how the bathroom turned out. I'm so grateful for Matt's help with all the (sometimes crazy) project ideas! Without him I wouldn't have a channel at all. Thanks for stopping by to visit!
I love the embroidered fabric you used for the curtains. I was thinking you could lower the cafe curtain rod so the curtains touch the windowsill, leaving light to come in from above. You can also add a third panel of blue or plain white fabric between the two embroidered panels. I'm sorry you're not completely satisfied, but I think the chrome is beautiful. I prefer it to the gold tone. I have chrome fixtures throughout my own bathroom and I never tire of it. I love how it gleams, is easy to clean and the finish lasts longer than other types. Only thing I would change is the polished steel fixtures to chrome to match the other fixtures. It's quite possible that you can return the shower door and exchange it for a taller one. That would be perfection! Also, your light fixture is almost identical to mine.
Thank you for the suggestions, Onepartwild! We are happy with the way the bathroom turned out and being that it was the first bathroom I've ever designed we knew there would be things we'd change. But that's part of the learning process, and totally OK! Thanks for dropping by and sharing your thoughts!
@@StoneCottageHome Yes, it is very much a learning process, and the fact that you did it all yourselves is fantastic! I very much enjoyed seeing the finished bathroom! I love how you coordinated everything, from the rug and hamper to all the accessories! I can't decide what I like most! I love that you made use of the cabinet, and the beautiful sink with coordinating chrome and ceramic shelf above it. The shower is just wonderful also! Thank you for sharing!
Newbie here. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 everything looks great….. love, love the shower. And let’s talk about the fixtures holding the glass over the sink …. Love, love them . They remind me of the knobs on a old claw table tub. 💙💙💙
What a beautiful vintage bathroom! I truly enjoyed your video, and your bathroom makeover. I love the pedestal sink. I have one in each of my bathrooms also! You and Matt did a wonderful job with your makeover. Everything is so tastefully done. I agree with you, about opening your medicine cabinet each morning, and enjoying the special feeling you get, like opening a gift! I thrift for vintage items, and enjoy using all my finds throughout my house. Looking forward to your next video! Blessings my dear.
Hello there, Miss Reba! Aren't pedestal sinks beautiful?! And finding/using the thrifted treasures you discover while out hunting?! I'm glad you enjoyed today's visit and look forward to sharing the next one with you. By the way, is there an area of home decor, or design that you'd like to see a video on? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Have a gorgeous weekend!

I love it all. I especially love the milk glass. It all is beautiful. ❤
Full of charm! Rachel while all the item are so special I’d rethink the milk glass soap tray in the shower. Washing your hair you could bump & shatter it!😮😢. Take care dear lady. Love your ideas..especially the toile💖

Soooooo soooo beautiful!!Exactly the atmosphere that I love in a bath.Simple and serene...Congratulations great job!
-Bobbie. xoxo

Y'all did a wonderful job, and I am so pleased for you.
Thank you!
We appreciate you stopping by. Happy Saturday!
Thank you so much, Miss Marjorie!
I'm glad you found some inspiration. Thank you for stopping by!
So gorgeous! Love the tile, river rock and all the blue and white! It’s so fresh and clean!
Thank you, Miss Lisa!

Great job! The bathroom looks absolutely beautiful and very welcoming!
Thank you, Miss Vanessa!
I love the milkglass and the curtain. 🥰
Thank you, Miss Janet!
Rachel, I love the new shampoo/conditioner bottles. So pretty and I bet they are fun to use.👏🏻✨
So pretty, my favorite color blue.
Thank you Miss Helen!
Blue is a lovely, calming color. 😊
I absolutely ADORE what you've done! Just beautiful 😍
Thank you, Hinds' Feet!
So glad you stopped by to visit today!
I love your mirror and all of the milk glass. Very beautiful!

Love it all, being a blue and white person. Your paint color is heavenly!
Glad you like the color, Miss Nancy.

Always so enjoyable watching your "before and after" postings. Great job and a big well done to both of you. xx
Thank you!

The tile shower surround you picked and the backsplash are beautiful
Thank you!
My compliments to both you and Matt on recreating your master bathroom. It's lovely as well as practical. Cheers, Ardith
Good morning Miss Ardith,
I'm glad you enjoyed your visit, it was fun to see how the bathroom turned out. I couldn't have done it without Matt!
Beautiful. I love the milk glass you incorporated for storage. I don't think I've ever seen the canisters.
Good morning, Miss Jenn!
The milk glass canisters do seem scarce, it's fun to find unique pieces! Thanks for stopping by to visit!
Can’t believe you placed glass in the shower 🚿. Love the look👍💐🙏
Thank you, Miss Pat!
I love the bath re-do, and I love you and thank you: for mentioning the Crabtree and Evelyn name. I have been trying for some time to recall the brandname of a glycerine based lotion that I loved many years ago, to no avail. Until today!!! Deepest thanks from this forgetful senior!
Aw, so glad to have helped you find the lotion you've loved! Have a gorgeous weekend and thanks for stopping by! 🌹
So clever with the laundry basket!!! Can’t go wrong with blue and white toile.
Yes, toile... So classic. So timeless.
I Loved video and enjoyed video thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed your visit, thanks for stopping by!
Beautiful bathroom love the clock just gorgeous well done to you both❤️
Thank you, Miss Doris!
We appreciate you stopping by!
Newbie here. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 everything looks great….. love, love the shower. And let’s talk about the fixtures holding the glass over the sink …. Love, love them . They remind me of the knobs on a old claw table tub. 💙💙💙
Welcome to the Stone Cottage Home family, Miss Lisa! We are happy to have you along & glad you enjoyed your visit. Have a lovely evening!
