It's 3am in my time zone. I have a cat asleep on my chest and our dog snoring noisily about 6ft away, and here I am, fascinated by alternately watching an Aussie pull out root slugs and Jacob give snacks to his lobsters, before notching the females and telling them to "go make somebabies." Who knew that peoples' everyday job could be so fascinating?

So do I! The situation has been no rain so many people are not looking into storm water. Hoping for some solid rain and the storm water content will follow.
From a poolside floor drain I pulled a root 21ft continuous pull in 1 piece. I laid in on the ground next to the pool and uploaded the video. I thought that was a good one. Then I see your catch. Amazing.

A few years ago, I was clearing a drain with a general wire cable auger. 3/4 hp 100 ft 3/4" cable. I spent about 2 hours trying to retrieve my cable from the pipe. Once i was finally able to remove it, there was 15 ft of cable that had juniper roots wrapped around it the diameter of the 4 inch pipe. It scared me to think that i would have to dig up the pipe to retrieve my cable. Fortunately, it finally broke loose and came out. Both myself and the customer were amazed at how much root mass there was. It was very satisfying when the job was completed and draining properly. I enjoy watching your videos. I wish i had a jetter many many times.

First video I have seen on your channel. This is so cool. I'm thinking how does one decide this is what I want to do for a living? No one thinks of this (until they need their pipes cleaned). But this is amazing. So satisfying when you fix the problem and get a significant reward. I will be bing watching past videos for sure.
And people are weird about people parking in front of their place. You responded well.

Stormwater Drain block. You work from the Street, Drain with a great Roots block, from about one Metre. The next Drain the self Problem block with Roots. Clear with Presswater and Nozzle. Picture to see Drain clear from Roots, very good work. 💪👌👍

Gavin, I've noticed something different from here in the states ans Aus. Why don't the contractors use pipe cement on the drains? It seems like that would greatly reduce a lot of roots from separating and growing in the pipes.
My Mrs. has finally started binging your videos and has started asking if we ever become rich enough if we can contract you to maintain our plumbing? Just think a bit of a bus man's holiday in Louisiana.
The pvc is paper thin too. Some places the building code doesn't allow that.
