I like it when there’s less cgi and just more stunts and live action. I don’t care for bombastic scenery but more for story telling, emotions and mise en scene artistry with lights and props to tell a story with more dimensions
Same, I think. Granted, the CG stuff with devil fruits in this show are pretty good, but I have to say I *really* like good stunts or wire-work. Even when I can tell “ok, that guy was pulled back on wires”, it’s a lot of fun to see.
I love how Sham and Buchi are able to tag out with each other like it's a fighting game, and you can visibly see that it forces Zoro to change his tactics spontaneously.
Honestly, doesnt have the same pace. That might be on the other actors who cant keep up with mackenyu The overall choreography also doesnt really hold up upon close scrutiny either honestly. Doesnt hold a candle to Mackenyu's Enishi scenes
@@qownsqud3207 might be because the editing as well, because it's a little bit sluggish at times. even tho the choreography pace quite slow, you can still make it intense with faster cut for example, when buchi ran to zoro, cut the part where it zoom to zoro and just straight to the attack part. i personally thought the choreo is alright. it just need a better editing
You can tell Mackenyu had to slow down his movements so the other actors could keep up and flow with him easier in the choreography. If you’ve seen Rurouni Kenshin: The Final, then you know how fast he can go
I like how, throughout the fight, Zoro has multiple opportunities to use his third sword, and he never does so. It's two against one, they previously dumped him in a well and he had to force himself to remember his promise to Kuina to climb his way out of said well, yet he never considers them worth going all-out; he considers them beneath using Kuina's sword against them.
@@qownsqud3207 He is shown using the third sword multiple times throughout the show, albeit a lot more sparingly than in the manga (likely for numerous practical reasons), so it's not a problem of "the showrunners couldn't figure out how to do it".

I'm so happy to know I'm not the only one who thought of The Final. That 10 minute choreography was brutal and the speed of both actors Mackenyu and Satoh are unbelievable. But this is an entirely separate show my whole point was I kept thinking at times bro your enishi is definitely showing 😂 and I am completely here for it. Mackenyu with a sword will never get old. So glad he's in this. Side note at 1:04 when she supposedly took the wado ichimonji I was bummed that we don't get to see her swipe it. If you actually notice, theyre fighting by the entrance Zoro essentially circled around back to the entrance after he and Luffy split up as Luffy went upstairs
Choreography would be 10/10 if not for the anticlimactic ending. But my main problem with the LA is how serious they made zoro. The main time zoro is enjoying himself is during battle. Wish we could’ve seen him smile or boast a bit during combat like manga zoro does.

I don’t think it would’ve been that bad if they acted more like they did in the manga. In the LA his banter is far more serious and negative and he doesn’t smile at all while fighting. Imo the LA made zoro look like a bitchy angsty teen which is the opposite of his character. I can respect u liking it. I’m just not the biggest fan of the changes.

Fun fact: When Luffy and Koby were in Shells Town and saw at the Wanted Posters, you can see the Wanted Posters of Buggy, Jango, Foxy, Cavendish, Bellamy. So, Jango is there but they probably don't introduce him earlier. Also, we already see Fullbody in Baratie episode and remember Jango later will join Marine and become Fullbody's partner in future season probably Season 2 after Arabasta arc.
I know zorro can be faster than this but he toned down and need to match with his co-stars' pace. I watch his fighting in ruroni kenshin, mckenyu is a sword fighting beast 😱 i heard he learns sword fighting at the age of 3

I wonder if they’ll still go with that first sword, or if they’ll somehow include Shusui. The Yubashiri is a neat sword, but it ultimately doesn’t have a lot of story significance until it gets destroyed. Whereas Kitetsu III and Shusui have a lot going on narratively.

He was knocked out and it could be that they thought he's dead, besides the well's depth IS enough to kill a (normal) person, if not dead they'd starve but Zoro is Zoro.
Overall mediocre fight choreography that could have been much better: Buchi‘s blades should be much bigger and both siblings should have attacked Zorro with coordinated 2-on-1 attacks. By parrying those Zorro would have proven his dominance better.
