What’s the name of the battery company you recommend?
I just picked up a used Red 2022 Model Y Performance with 23k miles on it that has had the original window sticker and it said it cost $71,000 with all the options which was just 2k for the red. It had just one owner who traded it in because they couldn't afford the payments. It was flawless. 40k, I couldn't believe it.
Early days yet I know but I have a 1 month old Model 3 from the Shanghai factory, maybe just lucky but every panel gap is excellent, nothing creaks or rattles, or is loose, paint is perfect, ride on the 18" wheels is excellent, no phantom software glitches (wipers, braking etc) and so far ....5.4miles per kWh after nearly 1000mi / 1600km mixed freeway / suburban / city driving - nothing to complain about.
You had a code for a Model Y accessories kit, will you provide that closed again or tell which video to watch so I can find it.

Love this review! I am still a few months away from placing my order, but I think I’m going with Red w/white interior, second choice Black w/white interior, but I live in the desert, so probably not going to get black! LOL
Can you please comment/advice Europeans buyers of Model Y RWD? Since Germany started building RWD too (MIG) with several mods but still European inventory is filled with RWD MIC. Buy now or wait ? Thank you....
IMHO the most useful Tesla critics are Tesla fans who actually own a Tesla.
Yup that’s me. I was a Tesla fan since 2010 and finally got one myself this year. However I definitely didn’t drink the kool-aid and can unbiasedly critique the car.
Unpopular opinion, having a big touchscreen is more of a distraction and less “simplistic” than people gawk about. Some buttons are good.
@@KingTode try using the voice controls… I find they are less cumbersome than using the touchscreen. And now with the new updates, you can use your scroll wheel on the steering wheel to do some shortcuts… Nice feature.
It looks like the Model Y has a manual trunk release button on the trunk itself. Does the Model 3?
How is the ride quality in the model Y? Has Telsa build quality improved?
Test drive both Y and 3 the other day… I can feel every little bump on the road …felt more on Y. Maybe it’s just me but I think the suspension system is not too good.

That only happens randomly when using cruise control. If you don't use cruise control, it will not affect you.

Recently got a MYP, the materials are good in my opinion (better than they used to be), simply just not a lot of things going on in the interior
I have 53k miles on my 2020 model y and the interior looks like new. It’s really easy to clean.
7500 Fed tax credit is deceiving...Only a credit AGAINST LIABILITY. If you don't owe 7500 it's worthless...no check and no carryover
It is a tax credit. E.g. if you earn $100k and have a $7500 tax liability and have $7500 employer tax withheld / paid - at tax time you owe zero, but with including this credit your liability goes to zero and you have $7500 withheld so you have zero liability and $7500 withheld so you get the full $7500 back.
However if you earn $60k and only have $3000 liability and withheld (owe zero) then the liability goes to zero and withheld is $3000 so you only get $3000 back.
If you don't earn enough to generate $7500 in federal tax liability you maybe shouldn't be considering a new BEV or are a millionaire who has a good tax avoidance scheme and don't need it.
Does it matter if you itemize or take the standard deduction?

Ive been doing my own research, and you SHOULD buy the long range battery, due to the car using EVERYTHING that uses the battery, if you are siting in traffic, the battery is being used. The sentry is using your battery, the car is using the features like DOG IN CAR. It's using the battery. So GET THE EXTENDED RANGE!!!
I personally think the white interior looks very cheap because of the material they use for the seat and also that piece of trim looks super plastic.

You don’t even drive the car and you’re making a review? I did 10k miles in the last 3 months. At 53k miles my model y looks and drives like brand new. The cars hold up well and the interior is a breeze to clean.

@@APatchworkCanvas Nice, that’s not bad at all. A lot of people have complained about tires wearing out in like 25k on model 3s so glad to hear it’s a normal decent lifespan. I’m going with 18” wheels for efficiency/ride and curb rash prevention.
@@mylesgray3470 mine came with 19” wheels, but I’ve never hit a curb. Deer, but no curbs! I drive in chill mode all the time and I rotate them regularly.
And now Tesla has nixed the base Y from the new car selection and basically forces you to buy the next, more expensive variant... Typical... Fortunately, I had found the base Y in inventory and saved both the extra $2750 *and* an additional discount over the price of ordering a straight new one. I'm getting someone else's failed purchase (which is fine by me). Delivery Day is a couple days away and I couldn't be happier.
What is the weather mats set that you picked for your car? They look great.

If you can afford it try to test drive it since it's subjective to your personal taste with your road condition.

When you Lease, you cant really buy it like other dealerships let you. You would have to turn it in an release a new Tesla. If you just buy it, the resell value is still REALLY good. So another person would most likely buy it, you then take the money, and buy a newer one. Tesla keeps improving the car every year it seems. And battery life is about to go up to 100 yrs life expediency they are saying, because Musk is using newer technology than cobalt chinese crap.

Model Y and really any Tesla needs a 360° cam. I have 2020 Bolt-EV Premier and use the nose cam or 360 when parking or in tight drive thrus. I've just recently curbed the Induction wheels again this week on my '20 MY. 😢

You still have the standard "parking sensors" that come with every car on the market. They're called mirrors and back-up camera. Oh, It helps to know how to park as well.
@@ATLbaseballguy Parking assist features are something that irritates the snot out of me... I'm always like "may I operate the Fing car please?!?!?" Not a useful feature for an actual driver. I work as a lot attendant at a rental car company... Nissans are the bloody worst.

You’re not even including tax, you actually paid a shit metric ton more, and you didn’t get any government rebates if you bought it before the new tax plan. I can’t do math now, but 18moths ago places you with no tax credits I think. But hey, you probably thought you were cool with your 70k car 😂.

👍We have a model y long range in red too. It's beautiful in the sun! We've owned mercedes, BMW and Porsche and this is the best car so far. Sure the build quality isn't up there with the Germans but it's getting closer. But software updates are just excellent with Tesla!
