Since filming this, Maxus changed the 52.5kWh pack to 50.23kWh, but all the same applied to identify the size, expect the VIN numbers will be different.
I've been looking at these used on Autotrader. Saw a 35kwh for £9950+vat. I think I could put up with the short range for that sort of money. Strangely also saw 52.5kwh model listed giving the same range. Some garages don't know what they're selling.
Yes, they have no clue. Its certainly worth looking at the 35kWh models, as I've heard of two people now who have purchased one, only to find they have a 52kWh model.
Very confused I’m due to buy a van tomorrow I’ve been told it’s a 52kwh van . I’ve been told it’s at 100% Soc and showing 150 miles . The weigh sticker says 2460kg . However the vin characters are XLA and when I put the details in a car checker search engine it says 35kwh . I have no idea 🤷. Help 😂
If it shows 150 miles on the GOM when its fully charged, that's the larger battery. Data lookups are often wrong because the original supplying dealers make mistakes. Most are registered wrong with wrong weights etc. From my experience of the vans I see, I would say 60-70% of vans are registered with incorrect data.

These tips are useful because they can often be applied across the board to other EVs. Nice looking van.
Absolutely.
Great information. Experian stated 35kWh. Having looked at the sticker under the vehicle we have a 52.5kWh. Result.
Another case where the dealer registered it wrong. Your win.
Glad the video helped.
Helpful video - thanks for making it! What do you reckon the large battery version would do on a motorway?
I'd guess about 160 miles.
Muchas gracias por tu trabajo.
Thanks
