I love JustPlanes videos. The level of depth they go into is unparalleled and they are always interesting. The only issue I have in recent years is the switch from the pilot's eye-view/straight ahead view on takeoffs and landings. All of the over-the-shoulder, top-down and side on views are spectacular in between, but I want to see the runway straight ahead as well. Maybe most other people like them, but views aside, excellent work.
One thing for sure.. Just planes produce many of the best aircraft videos I have ever seen. This one is by far one of the best clips I have seen. Totally outstanding and what lucky guys get to fly them! .
Great job JustPlanes! The 787 has really allowed Norwegian to greatly expand their route network! I don't know if they have any flights to North America yet, but I wouldn't be surprised.
The technology is truly amazing. 4 massive LCD displays. The HUD. Its so modern and cleanly laid out. I really like the B787. I always knew even after the delays, the Dreamliner would be a success. I love seeing the Norwegian B787 fly over my house into JFK.
Well, I'm not saying that the 787 isn't a nice bird, because it is. There's been plenty of issues with it though which is a shame since it do flies like a dream! I guess that technical difficulties are rather common with new aircraft types so we should give it some time before judging it.
Both of you need to stop replying to my original comment. I don't want to see your stupid debate. The Airbus A350 doesn't come close to matching the Boeing 787 in performance and quality. The Boeing 787 has been successful with every airline it serves; Norwegian, British Airways, Qatar, ANA, Japan Airlines, Jetstar, Air Canada, Air New Zealand, American Airlines, United, Royal Air Maroc, LOT, LAN, Avianca, Etihad Airways, KLM, Scoot, Virigin Atlantic, Thomson/Arke TUI Group, Royal Jordanian, Vietnam Airlines. The sole reason why airlines are purchasing the A350 is because it's cheaper than the B787. Thats only the initial investment though, operating costs (fuel, maintenance) are actually cheaper on the Boeing 787. If you remember early on, Norwegian had difficultly with the Boeing 787 because they completely overbooked their 787 fleet. They used it on way to many destinations, and times and scheduling conflicted when they were faced with delays. Thats dispatch and companies fault for over booking the airplanes. There are currently 4 daily flight into JFK operated by Norwegian. Origins are as follows; Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, and London Gatwick.
Had an opportunity to be on a Boeing 787, China Southern. Hands down most comfortable plane I felt, that pressure in the cabin makes a difference. Def my favorite plane now! The 777 is still my Old Faithful, :-) Thanks guys for this video!
▂▃▅▆ GAMES & MORE ▆▅▃▂ Do you really think the sensationalist nightly news will ever have a report that anything is bug-free? Anybody who is familiar with aviation will tell you that the media exagerates a story to sell their stories. A good example would be a small aircraft with stuck landing gear that will force a 'belly landing'. If the media is to be believed the pilot and his passengers will narrowly escape death. The reality is a belly landing is just not a very big deal. I personally have witnessed several. The plane comes in, skids for a few yards, everybody gets out and then the insurance company is called. That night on the news--High Drama as death is somehow cheated !
john grauberger On top of what you say, the media ALWAYS gets it wrong. I have been involved in several stories that made the news, and each time they reported the facts all wrong. It's amazing how they can be so consistent.
I gotta tell you...you dont see wonderful attitudes and smiles on the carriers here in the states. Most are quite hateful actually. Hats off to this Norwegian carrier.
Agreed… you don't see any airline in the US willing to work with us either… like none are really into aviation… Good thing the many others around the world are interested in promotion aviation and working with us...
***** Quite right, JustPlanes & as an American, I can say that's very disappointing! Who knows, perhaps someday, our nation's 'official perspective' upon Aviation will change..??? I have to say, "Thank YOU for these Superb Videos", from one U.S. aviation-lover...
David A. Moore As a US company we would love nothing more than to feature some US airlines but highly doubt thats about to happen… however Air Canada makes up for that… they are the best long haul airline in North America anyway, which is easy if you compare them to the long haul airlines in the US ;) and we're very happy to be working closely with them...
The reason why US airlines won't let you film in the cockpit is probably because of TSA, 9/11, and all that stuff. There are some airlines in the US that truly do love flying. I've spoke with several Southwest Airlines pilots, and they all love their job!
Isaiah Hagood Off course Southwest pilots love their job and would love to be in our series however airlines like that leave projects like ours to departments that are staffed with people who know little to nothing about aviation and could care less about it.... I know, I've been working with Southwest... 100% useless
Awesome video, very informative. I just became a FAA airplane flight instructor in 2013. My job which I love, is training airplane pilots of the future.
I was very fortunate to capture the first test flight of Sonja at KPAE. This video will be a great addition to my JP collection! Thanks, very informative also!!
I just want to say this is a GREAT video and i just want to compliment Norwegian Air on their friendliness and making JustPlanes so Awesome. Thanx all! Keep it up!
Amazing video. I'm almost done watching the full version. The view of Mt. Everest is pretty cool but the view of Dhauligiri right after it, the pilots think it's K2 but it's not, is awe inspiring. Great information from both crews.
WHAT a wonderful video ~ especially the varied events/views/personalities...this showed JUST WHAT A GRAND Airline Norwegian Airways TRULY IS..!!! KUDOS to the Cameramen/women...
We have a library of music we licensed for our productions but don't have any names I'm afraid.... its all a mix of stuff we acquired over the years... glad you like it though!
The Dreamliner 787-8 is the size of a Boeing 767. So not so small. SAS used to fly the 767-300 on the same route. The Boeing 767-300 is actually 2 meters Shorter than the Boeing 787-8.
Norwegian has so far ordered 14 Boeing 787 Dreamliners: 8 Boeing 787-8 and 6 Boeing 787-9 So far 3 Boeing 787-8 has been delivered. Another 4 of those will be delivered this year. The 9 version will be delivered to Norwegian from 2016.
Love these cockpit videos, keep them coming!

That is very kind of you to say, thank you so much!! :)
The captain with the mustache competion is a great guy... I wish there will be more pilot/ captain like that guy. great job captain!!!!!!!
Always amazing, every video is a winner. Thanks JustPlanes!
Clearly the best video ever from JustPlanes!!!!
Great job JustPlanes! The 787 has really allowed Norwegian to greatly expand their route network! I don't know if they have any flights to North America yet, but I wouldn't be surprised.
dave4shmups they fly to New York and stuff.
From the flight deck crew to the cabin crew, together with this fresh new aircraft, this is a wonderful video!
The technology is truly amazing. 4 massive LCD displays. The HUD. Its so modern and cleanly laid out. I really like the B787. I always knew even after the delays, the Dreamliner would be a success.
I love seeing the Norwegian B787 fly over my house into JFK.
The 787 is cool and all that, but it hasen't been that successful, At least not for Norwegian :S
+Hampus Norrby there's more in the sky than the A350, so judge for yourself

sorry and thanks, good comment
I've watched dozens of your videos. This one is certainly in the running as the best. Excellent view and explanation of the heads-up display.
Had an opportunity to be on a Boeing 787, China Southern. Hands down most comfortable plane I felt, that pressure in the cabin makes a difference. Def my favorite plane now! The 777 is still my Old Faithful, :-) Thanks guys for this video!
Coming soon The 787-9 Dreamliner. I have been lucky enough to work on the 787 project and can say that it truly is an impressive bird.
When it gets bug-free yes.. for now, everytime it comes in the news it's negative.

Its been bug free if you don't opt for the Rolls Royce engines
I cannot wait for this, I have ordered the blu-ray! Well done Just Planes!

I hope Justplanes will do a video of Norwegian 's 787-9 when that version of the 787 will be introduced to the Norwegian fleet in 2016 ...
I just love these videos... JustPlanes is amazing!
It's must of been amazing to be able to fly on board the amazing 787 Dreamliner! Again another fantastic video Justplane
Awesome video, very informative. I just became a FAA airplane flight instructor in 2013. My job which I love, is training airplane pilots of the future.
Screw all the media who try to put a negative view on the 787 everyday. This planes will be the best plane in the world.
ikr love the 787.
but will not beat the 737 in my opinion.
I was very fortunate to capture the first test flight of Sonja at KPAE. This video will be a great addition to my JP collection! Thanks, very informative also!!

Fantastic video as usual, great job! How much time before lufthansa's 747-8?
My favorite airplane (-: Great video as usual
Wow I wasn't expecting the Irish lad, he sounds like he could be from just up the road from me :D Fair play.
WOW, what a geek cockpit there. Magnificent cluster and also more friendly to read ... I guess.
Lecialem Dreamliner'em, to wspaniala przyjemnosc
Ned Flanders the captain?
He's moonlighting.
+Alex Ray You are okily-dokily-doo for takeoff!
You are okily-dokily to land!
@@fatsoflying He explains it´s due to Movember but let´s check if he´s got a bible in his flightbag and we will know if he is Capt. Flanders!
Que maravilla, de volar ahora , nomas obseva los MFD. Y el angulo de las camaras INMEJORABLE.
Amazing video!
What a nice pilot :)
Where can i get the song at the end? Thanks for the video, nice one :DD
Whear in World to they fly from? Good video👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Please why is Norwegian Airlines doesn't fly to Africa? Or do they have connecting flight? Thank you.
Nice 787 cockpit video.....good job....
great video thanks
I must ask why in the 787 for takeoff why the pilot flying often seems to be in the right seat??
In general its 50-50 between a left seat and right seat takeoff/landing...
I can't believe that these new smaller planes are now just simply flying 10 hour flights! Is it due to the popularity of the route?
The Dreamliner 787-8 is the size of a Boeing 767. So not so small. SAS used to fly the 767-300 on the same route. The Boeing 767-300 is actually 2 meters Shorter than the Boeing 787-8.
Because often its closer to 11 hours... so 10 hours is shorter than usual...
uh cause its lighter so it can fly faster?
Smaller planes?? Hehe.. This aircraft house 291 passengers :)and can weigh close to 230 tonnes on takeoff.. i would say that is a fairly big plane :)
Thanks for the interesting flight video ...cheers ... gus
He's the only one with hair!
wery good :) is this for the download ?
Thanks just
Some of their dreamliners are registered here in ireland and also your man the 1st officers irish

Very nice !!!!
Good luck in the Moustache Contest!
Amazing video ! nice
Norwegian is such a good airline
Cool video! From the outside the aircraft looks small.
that wonderful captain
Great Video
Very nice.
Norwegian has so far ordered 14 Boeing 787 Dreamliners:
8 Boeing 787-8 and 6 Boeing 787-9
So far 3 Boeing 787-8 has been delivered. Another 4 of those will be delivered this year. The 9 version will be delivered to Norwegian from 2016.
Wow! At $300M a piece!
nice video!
Are the movies on the DVD full flight duration or just clips? =)
Yes each one is a full program 2-3-4 hours long...
