Great video Joe, it's nice to be able to see how someone like yourself sets up on your box so I know i have done it right. Will be moving up to a box like yours soon as my old shakespeare with octopus leg system has finally decided to retire after thirty years of good use
Some great tips , the hoop and bowl is a fantastic bit of kit. I put mine on the front box leg, rather than the footplate, I can then swivel it under my side tray to protect bait from the weather.
Nice one Joe. I personally use the inception station with a very similar set up apart from I've added a extra clamp onto my preston mega side tray to take my pole roost so I have a clear r/ h side for stepping on to my box
Switched to this box at the beginning of the year best thing I ever did, my s36 Matrix was just too heavy. You should buy two 50 cm extendable legs for the back and I also bought a 75 cm leg for my back left leg, i find it useful to hold a second tray on the long back leg.
Great video mate. Loved my Preston Inception and had no problems with it. After using it for 2-3 years I’ve now upgraded to the absolute station. It’s very good and I think it looks the best on the market, it’s just heavier! Love the Preston XL hooded side tray too. I dont like my bait, phone and terminal tackle getting wet. Haha
Brilliant video joe- i have an inception box too - i have had a few problems with the footplate locking device though the springs on both sides have broken- but preston have been Brilliant and replaced them both times- - Tight lines mate thanks
I wish i had time to think about what box to get, i was looking for a small inception or map H30 or 36, but there it was the bargain of the year the S25 for £199 and the other 2 were more than twice the price at the time it weighs a ton. I got diagnosed with COPD just after i got it in 2013ish as i'd been struggling to get my gear to my peg for overmore and nor over the next 2 years ,and went for a CT scan in January because i nearly died from anaemia my blood count was at 31 or 3.1, and it was supposed to be 170-180 17.0/18.0 in a normal bloke. my ankles swelled up as my heart was failing, and it didn't even bother me to much as my gp thought it was my lung failing and i' was prepared to die, but after 4 bags of blood and a iron infusion 1felt 20 again for am month or 2.
Yep, looks simple and sensible to me. 👍 I see you've switched the rear legs of that box to the telescopic ones too, that would be such a simple upgrade for Preston to make. I think the only thing I'd do different would be to change the kit rest to a kit safe to keep all of my top kits off the ground instead of just one end.
pls show me a video with the timer on, how long it takes to fully setup and sit and throw first cast. I mean from packed in car till first cast how long it takes ? i prefer setups that are simple fast and efficient.
Awesome stuff! That feeder butt rest and feeder arm on the same leg has changed my life, can’t imagine how many times I was ruining my presentation on the bottom! 👏🫵👏
Great run through Joe would like to see you run through setting up for a match from draw to all in too just to see how you think and how long it takes if that makes sense please.
Good vidio -i have just got rid of the slim matrix tray just to narrow- does the bracket on your small tray split to wrap around the leg or do you need to take the leg out to thread the bracket on- if that makes sense
On the vidio the small tray sits below the main tray that would be dropped onto the legs from the top-how do you fix the small tray do you have to remove the box leg to slide it on.
Got it I have the map box it's a smaller box than yours and the frame is higher wouldn't be a problem if the bracket was the type that splits to wrap around the leg
Not sure. They were looking at being very expensive when they looked into it when I was there. Things may have changed though. I'd get one immediately if they did
Same here...can't see how they'd be that expensive....surely just change the legs???the matrix compact is not a bad price..couldn't be much more than that
Great set up,, but I don’t understand why all your top kits and rod tips are on the floor; just ready to be stood on ;; all it needs is a tripod or bank stick at the delicate business end ;;

That bowl & hoop is perfect for me & its a good price ordered one 👌
I bought the same box for the same reason notably my 27" inside leg, good tip on the positioning of the butt rest to the front leg.
Some great tips , the hoop and bowl is a fantastic bit of kit. I put mine on the front box leg, rather than the footplate, I can then swivel it under my side tray to protect bait from the weather.
Great tip!
Looks a cracking set up joe not overly complicated thank you for sharing 👍
No problem 👍
I love using a bowl for my groundbait, as more boxes on my side tray leaves me with little room for other essentials.
I really like the bowl!
@@MatchFishingFilms I like it more than you! LOL

Another brilliant video Joe
Many thanks!

I'm lucky I haven't had any issues yet. Preston are great at sorting issues out though if anything does happen
Like that bowl
it's a handy bit of kit!
@@MatchFishingFilms Will have to get me one!

I think its a cost thing sadly to keep the price down.
Mikey. The inception station has all six legs adjustable so I assumed the inception box was the same. We live and learn 😁
For the price some shops are doing these for its one hell of a box

I love my NuFish hooded and non-hooded trays, but I do wish you could add clamps to them for pole roosts etc , like you can on the Preston ventalite
Maybe in time we will have something you will like ;)

Hi Joe, what would you do with your top kits on one of those pegs out in the water down a slope with trees both sides, like Hall root, cheers
Not really sure to be honest

Not long for me ha ha
@@MatchFishingFilms I am the worlds worst for being ready for the all in always late kicking off 😆
I've just done the same, gone from an absolute 30 to this Inception box. So much lighter
Yeah its a huge difference!
@@MatchFishingFilms it is, will be using mine for the first time tomorrow evening.
Ice little set up Joe a bit tieder tha my side at times.

I wonder if there ever bring out a 36mm leg version?

@shaungroves709 the matrix has an rrp on 579. Which for a box with one drawer is pretty minty I reckon!
Yeah that's true but you can pick them up for 400 if you look about.but your seatboxes are an investment..I've had my absolute for 4-5 years
@shaungroves709 I know but the manufacturers don't set that price so work to the rrp. One day maybe
Want 1 , whats the shop called joe with that price you said
Solihull angling centre posted that price on the 3rd July on their Facebook page
Thanks pal tight lines...quality videos keep them coming
Hall croft Joe
I've no idea how you all sit on those things for hours on end . I have to use a chair . tried the box just gave me serious back aches.
If its giving you back ache theres a good chance you haven't got it set up level once there right you can't beat them
Yes sometimes a box isn't for everyone especially if you have some back issues. perhaps your level isn't quite right
Great set up,, but I don’t understand why all your top kits and rod tips are on the floor; just ready to be stood on ;; all it needs is a tripod or bank stick at the delicate business end ;;
It's taken me 30 years to get one at the base end. By my calculations I'll be retired by the time I worry about a front roost 🤣
