Just getting into pole fishing after 3 years of mental health issues. Andy’s enthusiasm and passion for this hobby is intoxicating. Just ordered a Preston Inception 3D 150 Seatbox. Saving hard for a Preston Monster Edge 10m pole. Thanks for sharing these amazing videos 🥳👍
I’ve been asking for this so many times from so many outlets so thank you Andy and Preston Innovations for finally showing this most important part of your fishing. Here’s to many more!
Andy's bags, empty, are worth more than my whole tackle. Including his van, his whole set up cost more than I paid for my house. I have a Riva box with Octoplus legs (old metal hexagonal ones), my bait tray is about the size of his hook bag, my groundbait bucket is a £1 painters pot from Wickes, I have one holdall with poles, top sections, rods, bank sticks !!!!! and umbrella in (weighs a bloody ton). Large bait bag carries nets and tubs (Which doubles as flask and butty table.). Come on the fisheeees
Love Andy's video's but like you I could never afford this set up. Only recently started fishing and thought all I would need was a Rod Reel landing net & bait. Still love it though.
I think Andy mentioned but I would say that’s a great tip to make sure you put your rod rest on before the tray or roost etc… Done it numerous times, put a load of gear on my tray and had to take it off to clip my rest on! 😤
It's a bloody workout setting up! Interesting, no pole nose bungs for extra protection? Also, I like the rubber Preston end caps on one end just in case. For the landing net handle, I use one of those butt rest attachments with a little tulip Also, Preston (and you can have this one) a pole sock in a snaplock attachment makes a great cup holder :)
Andy, loads of gear but very business like when set up. Especially liked the pole roller advice, middle of section no5. A question..is it possible for Joe to do super slow mo video of your casting style? Because I noticed the rod came over your right shoulder and I'm sure your previous advice was to cast over your left shoulder even if you are right-handed. Any chance?
Hi Andy great chanel mate watched for the first time really entertaining and tips that have helped me I do a lot of fishing for bream and roach on the feeder I've recently purchased a 16m pole when arriving at my peg how do choose which method to fish on a lake in winter please help. P.S I no you like a joke the same as me and I just watched your video how to set up your seatbox but I'm going to honest mate don't think you've got enough tackle try ebay for some more 😂 Keep up with videos mate really great tips and advice. Gavin from London
Try and do some research on what methods work best at your chosen venue. That will give you a better idea on what methods are working and which areas are best to fish.
think i would be quicker, as i only own very little, what andy has the same as me is only hooks tied, great to watch the professionals do it ,could watch andy all day he is so enthusiastic and so knowledgeable. great video
What angle, to where you cast, do you like your feeder rest and rod tip? I.E. some seem to point til towards cast but low so a bite lifts tip upwards but others have the traditional side movement of tip.
I struggle with set up as I go places where the pegs are designed for seat boxes like the one in this video and I have a chair, the hardest part is where to put the rod rest if the peg is slabs or wood and I want to sit close to the edge. Other than spending a small fortune on a seat box does anyone have any suggestions?
I fish using a chair Steven what I have done is attached a korum any chair adapter to my chair and l have a home made extendable rod rest but I am sure you can get extendable rod rest what just clip onto the chair itself hope this helps
Thanks for the reply Alan, I’ve looked into putting attachments on the chair but I’ve read that they are super sensitive to movement and unfortunately I am a bit of a toe tapper so I imagine the rod will be bouncing all over the place hahaha.
@@stevenwatkins4033 Yes the only downside is you have to sit still but mine isn't that bad sometimes the rod will move but you know when you have a bite because the tip goes round l feeder fish a lot you just have to get it tight OK mate maybe get a rod pod what the carp angler's use Cheers
Has he just chopped the top off and stretched to the second ring? This might solve a problem where the tip is slightly bent in the holder due to the downward pressure from the top cap which I don’t like.

@@2wheelsrbest327 i think there are a lot of us in that boat, we can but dream!
I try use my accessory bag to keep the pole end caps etc in one place, and also use that as a cushion for pole sections when sliding them out.
What a bloke Preston got a very good team that’s for sure
Thanks Andy 👍🙏🏻🎣

Brilliant video thanks. Would love the tackle you have. Preston have some brilliant stuff
Awesome video by the legend himself ooshh
Cheers Andy. Pole roller tip useful as takes me 3 to 4 tweaks every time…..
Brilliant vid. Taaaa. Can you also do one for what kit you carry in your box
I would do my pellets first and any access water would be used to mix the ground bait that way not wasting all the pellet goodness .
That's I would comment before I saw yours buddy !
Me too, also in summer upon when I've boiled/cooked my heap, I also use the excess liquid
1st thing I do is chair up, coffee and a cigarette then my bait 😆🤣
Do you put the pole on the left or right side if you’re right handed? Thanks
Awesome vid as usual Andy thank you

Thanks a lot for this video. Question is, what landing net handle do you use please. Cheers.
Normal anglers 3mtr, sponsored/rich people 4mtrs
Would Andy be able to show us how he breaks down his rods to be stored in his holdall. Are they full set up or does he do that in the bank?
What was additive on your pellets?
Where do you guys get them white tubs from ?
Hi Andy what groundbait would you use for skimmers at Barston pal 👍 eh babby 👍
Fun video
When I add bait booster to my sticky pellets it ends up too wet,I use less water in the start but can’t get it right, how do you do yours ? Thanks
have you tried adding your bait booster in with your water before mixing that way flavours seep into the pellets

Take a look at our Response handles :)
Haven't watched it yet but guessing one rig with a bb and a hook yeah? 😁
Great👍🔥✔👍🔥

What's. The. Best. Way. To put. Small. Shot. On. The. Line
Andy at some point could you go through clipping up from start to finish please.
Great set up, not as fast as Mr Des Shipp

@alan measures that’s true, you know when it’s a bite! Tight lines!
Buy a rod pod.
How do you target a venue which is even like a bathtub, no slope nothing?
I remember when they said look how much gear carp anglers took fishing!!!
i need to hire me a contractor to set all that up. Just a whip with a pole rig will do for me. 😉😉
Tip and Butt Protector.....is that a new product or is modified by Andy?
@@Scottymol I have three of them from Preston......but this that Andy has look that they are different a bit

@@paulstacklereviews1695 I think so
Has anyone fitted a clock to a seatbox
Why not leave holdalls in van.as its there.
Can you show us the same video where you cant take your vehicle to your peg, nightmare. 😂
How do you set the brolley up, you guys never have a brollley! Does it not rain where you are? 😂😂
i cannot believe the amount of gear you have to take, i take less gear for a 48hr session carp fishing !
Andy, I have a Fiat 500, should I take up golf instead? 😄
You’d be fucked if you woke up one day and you didn’t like the colour blue 🤣 top video tho mate enjoyed seeing someone else’s set up
And I thought carp anglers took too much tackle!!
Forgot to set the ooooosh up
Andy ADHD May.🤣
Are you sure you`ve got enough gear lol
1st thing shout oooooosh like a 6 year old with adhd😂
75% of this video doesn’t apply to mr average
👍
I couldn’t afford the wagon to transport that lot!
