I am so pleased to see that I am doing most of what you do with your set up. My only real difference is that I use a Pram Hood Large side tray which means that i cannot use your landing net rest. I also am going to use your suggestion of securing the bottom of my keepnets with Pole elastic using the pegs. Thanks for all the tips etc you gave us all this season. I wish you and your family and great and "MERRY" Christmas and a Happy New Year. PS will be booking a coaching day next year to improve my Pole fishing.
nicely explained top rod , if there is a better fisherman for giving tips to young and upper coming fishing youths i have yet to see them , keep up the vids and Merry Xmas
Hi Jon Fantastic video buddy, im all over the place setting mine up, yours makes sense, i will try and adopt your system, thanks Take care, stay safe, regards to your ladies and have a Merry Christmas and Happy prosperous and health New Year, plus keep it lit.👍 my friend.
nice one Jon like it, im with you leave some attachments on the legs and as you said you no were they are thank you, have a very good Christmas and a tight line new year,
Bugger..just cost me 79€ (Yes EURO's...I live in Spain!)..had to buy a second tray lol. Very interesting about chopping that leg down..nearly said the 'middle leg'!! Plus using the brolly umbrella arm for the landing net...thanks mi'duck!!
Thanks for this video Jon! I've made some modifications to my S25 box: I am using the extendable sidetray that I could not fully extend so I've removed the handwheels from the footplate. Gives me about 3"- 4" extra sidetray length. I've attached the two plastic "sliders" from my bottom tray to a piece of painted plywood and slided that in the bottom section, giving me extra storage space. Merry Xmas to you and your family! Looking forward to your videos next year 🎅🎄🎣
@@JonArthur that would be good because all the videos I've watched say to leave expanders in the water but they are splitting after couple hours, yet the Sonu ones have to be done with cold water overnight?
Use the sonubaits Pro expanders. Cover in water the night before. Add any additives. Wack them in the fridge. Bang on the next day. I drain them if it's average temperature but leave them in water if its hot.
I use the tent peg if it's going in the ground or stretch it over a platform leg or sometimes even my own seatbox legs if the platform juts out. Whatever suits the specific peg.
Thank you every days a school day. Keep them coming.
Thanks for watching 👍
My box set-up is almost identical. Except I have my old fashioned bait waiter (matrix) and a side tray, instead of two side trays. Love a waiter!
Very nice Steve!
The feeder arm support was an eye opener
Glad it helped
great idea with the putting the keepnet around the pallet! Thanks Jon!
Glad to help 👍

Some great tips Jon lad. I'll definitely cut the legs down as I'm always catching something on them. Also bungues on the keepnets.

I'm very Heath Robinson!

Great tips Jon, Many thanks, like the keepnet idea will surely be doing this going forwards, best wishes to you & the family for Christmas.
Thanks for watching 👍
Jon can you do an expander vid for how you do the small pumped type and the pro expander, I'm struggling with them breaking down mushy
Might do some bait ones later this year...

ah yes but should I put my wicker basket widest side towards the water or narrow side? 😁
Whichever way the grain on the wood goes - grain WITH the flow - never against the grain.
Cheers Steve 🍺 that had me chuckling 😆
If you chop the top off your wicker seatbox... it'll fit in the skip easier! :-)
Great advice!
Sorry John watched it a few times - re keepnets does the tent peg stick into the platform ?
I use the tent peg if it's going in the ground or stretch it over a platform leg or sometimes even my own seatbox legs if the platform juts out. Whatever suits the specific peg.
Putting but rest on front leg, great idea ive broke 3 but rest in last 12 month catching leg on them. Thanks
Glad it helped!
Has anyone fitted a clock to a seatbox
I have a cheap digital watch attached to mine!
Brill
👍👍👍
Can you put a fish next to my name please
Hi Daniel, only my very loyal members get the fishes next to their names, but here's a 🐳! :-)
I’m left handed so this was a waste of time for me.
Cheers for nothing.
😆🍺👍🍌
Found this really interesting- I cringe when I see nets set a few mm above the water line. Cheers daft lad 🍺
😂 Suppose I should’ve reached a natural conclusion you’re left handed. Explains a lot! 🤣🍌🍌🍌
