It's almost infuriating seeing someone able to play, not only flawlessly, rarely if ever wrong partials, but doing that with such an expressive and virtuosic style. I'm starting to realize how other violinists felt in the era of Paganini.
Okay i know we’re all fan girling over his French horn playing but can we talk about the trumpet??? ITS SO GOOD AND SMOOTH even when playing higher notes
Alexander The Great Im not trashing it in any way the French horn is absolutely sublime it’s just as a trumpet player I know how difficult it can be to play such high notes on the trumpet and keep it so smooth
@@magicgirl2831 As someone who’s played both the trumpet and french horn, but plays the French horn as my main instrument, I can say the high notes he played for a trumpet is around the normal range of what a trumpet is supposed to and can play. The French horn however, is completely different. Most notes in general aren’t above the staff, they’re usually around the lower half of the staff, meaning E, F, G, A, B, And C, and even hitting a high F on the staff for a French horn player can end up being difficult at times. Not to mention the French horn has one of the widest ranges of pitch, it can go down to the lowest F, and all the way above the staff, with more tones and pitches that are available, it’s hard to get the note right.Your pitch relies solely on your mouth, and you have to blow enough air to make a sound through 8-12 ft of tubing. When I picked the French horn, I had no clue it was one of the most difficult instruments to play. I thought I was simply bad at playing it because getting the notes right was never easy, even with years of experience, but you learn it’s just how the French horn is, and it takes a lot of practice to master it. For example, we play the mellophone during marching band, since it’s louder, that instrument is so much easier to play than the french horn, at least 100x easier, and it has the same exact fingerings as the trumpet. Not saying a trumpet isn’t easy to play, all instruments are respectable and hard to play, but a french horn is really something else. In most bands, orchestras, etc. french horns are usually the smallest section of the band because people are scared to play it or give up too quickly because it’s hard to become “good” at it, and Ofc lots of people end up doing that, but not as many when it comes to the french horn lol to sum it up, I’ve seen better playing of the trumpet and it’s clear he’s a lot more experienced with the French horn than the trumpet from the video. But he still did really great with the trumpet, and the French horn parts were seriously the best I’ve ever heard from any French horn player.
I am the only trumpet in my highschool band, and my friend is the only French horn. I can say on behalf of both of us that this was so good! Literally insane!

I played this as my solo in my very first marching band show. Soon after our band director left. I loved him and he was like a father figure to me. Next came someone who tore down our once incredible band program to what is now rubble. This really brings back memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Incredible job!
All I can say about this is wow! This left me speechless. As a mediocre trumpet and French Horn player, seeing this so flawless and perfect with amazing use of dynamics and beautiful tone, this really inspires me. You absolutely blew me and everyone else away with this! Keep doing what you are doing this is great!
I play French horn in band, and i never honestly miss a note. I practice every day, though, and you shouldn't joke about the effort others put into trying to entertain you. Plus, that kind of joke sucks.
